I am almost 40 hours into redfall on PC playing on Epic settings 1440p about 85 FPS I am actually loving the game it is not perfect but I do enjoy it very much it definitely does not look like a 360 game

Well you have those that put a positive on things. And then you have those click bating youtubers with only doomsday about xbox, and somehow twist every word Phil saids. So it's a negative again.

I think Jez is right, it's definitely fair to be worried that if ABK doesn't go through that Microsoft will just throw up the white flag, and either leave the market with a bang or a whimper. I like many of Microsoft's products, but they're second only to Google in terms of creating products and then killing them with little fanfare. Rip Windows Phone, Microsoft Band, Surface Headphones, Groove Music, Microsoft Books, and (probably) Hololens too. It'll be sad too, because I think Gamepass is great, and Xbox Play Anywhere is one of the best things to come to the console ecosystem in the past 10 years. Either that, or they'll spend so much time litigating the stupid deal that Sony'll buy up the SEGAs and Squares of the world. Oh well.

Microsoft will not foreclose on Xbox. It's their only meaningful adventure into entertainment mindshare. They don't have anything else. Google has the PlayStore and KZread. Apple has the App Store and AppleTV. Amazon has Prime TV, Luna and their games division. Microsoft simply can't afford to vacate entertainment mindshare.

King, I hear you... Phil has resurrected xbox. But... This Redfall thing is not a one off. Phil has not launch a single AAA banger, outside of Gears 5, that isn't a racing game or a flight simulator. Now I've been team xbox since halo 1 and have been on xbox live since beta. But I'm not gonna spend my friday and saturday night being jealous of Sony gamers so I have a ps5. With the Redfall lies and deceit asking for preorder money a week before telling people it was gonna run at 30 fps and still not being transparent... yeah, That's slimey and I'm not down with that kind of conduction of business so I'm unsubbed to gamepass. I just don't care about AA games and I don't care about passion projects. I have limited time and a backlog so I want top teir quality or I walk.

If PlayStation wants to play that game, and Microsoft can’t proceed with the ABK acquisition, then Microsoft should shell out however much they need to make CoD Xbox exclusive

That is Sonys total buisness at this point and it shows by the quality of games they release. You might not like them but people like them more than say Halo, Gears and Forza
