No other studios make sense to go indie from Xbox.. T4B were a very small studio around 50 people... Easily spun off.. Look you don't improve the situation of games that aren't hitting at Xbox like Halo and Gears by selling off the studios and talent that can turn Xbox into a great place to make games.

I made a prediction years ago and I was 100 percent correct. The MOMENT the Switch approaches the PS2, these "people" will claim Nintendo is in another "industry". Its the ultimate cope and the highest dosage of copium. But 99% of people knows that narrative is comical and that's why these videos have microscopic views on KZread. I also love how they use the car analogy saying rubbish like a Ferrari doesn't compete in the same market as a Prius. In REALITY some of the richest people in the world drive Priuses. You have people who can buy 5 Ferraris but instead choose to buy a Prius.

Can you play GTA6 on a switch? Diablo 4? And how do games like Hogwarts Legacy even compare on a technical level? Many people who own a switch also own a PC, ps5 or Xbox. Many people who play on switch only aren't interested in AAA gaming anyway.

They are in another industry mate. Was the Gamboy considered console gaming? How about the Game Boy Colour? GBA, was the Vita going up against the PS2/3??? The switch is a hand held that connects to a tv. Caught everyone off guard. But as @david53444 stated. How do you think the next GTA is going to be on it? Hows D4? The next switch, may be able to play the games, but right now the Switch is just the latest Gameboy

@@vaguedreamsRubbish. This is why the Switch outsold the PS4 and will blow past the PS2. The people at Nintendo are NOT delusional children. They are realists. They are ADULTS. They don't think with their emotions. They are like Spock, completely logical. Nintendo considers Playstation, Xbox, PC, Netflix, you playing basketball, you watching a movie or going to the mall as competition. That's why they design the games that they make the way they do. Its to make you want to ONLY play their product and do NOTHING else. Now you understand why Switch is headed to 200 million and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is headed to 80 million. This is also why they are not laying off staff, shutting down studios and have their CEOs foaming at the mouth with double-speak and making a million interviews. Nintendo is silent for a reason.

We have multiple switches in our house hold, we also have xboxes, ps5s, an PCs. I understand that we, meaning my family, are the minority on that front, but not where the switch+ another device is concerned. I can't think of anyone, that I know, who only has a switch. The switch is a hand held. It's a game boy. It's the latest DS. I would wager to say that It is not the primary gaming platform for the majority of it's owners. They (industry pundits) say the worl wide console user base is about 250 million people (i disagree with this maybe house holds, but they have data). Do you honestly believe that the switch account for half of them? Hell, i know hard core fans that buy every new version that comes out. The switch is selling well does not mean it's not a hand held. If thats the case then google and Apple have the best selling consoles of all time, you know, since their devices connect to the tv as well.

My favorite insider with my best podcasters , Pure Gold. My comments are facts no replies needed.

Hasn't Tim Schafer said on multiple occasions that they went to MS so they didn't have to stress about finding the next round of funding constantly? I don't think they're likely to go voluntarily.

New here, don’t know the ropes yet. Do these longer podcast videos ever get time stamps, or is that something that only happens if someone posts them in the comments? Just wondering, it helps a lot for 2hr+ content.

The real answer is probably because reviewers are heavily influenced by what they think the popular opinion is going to be (witness the vitriol that reviewers who were out of step on Redfall got), and in the past year and a half Pentiment has been widely recognized as an excellent game, so reviews are going to come in with that expectation. It's like how Demon's Souls got trashed when it first released, but sentiment had flipped by the time Dark Souls came out.

@@jimmythegamer2231 The last PlayStation I bought was PS3. I game on PC and Switch. You don’t have to be a PlayStation fan to see what is happening. No amount of spin changes that.

I really hope next gen or the gen after Sony’s all in on a hybrid system. If they do it and everything’s day one with PC, and it’s all exclusive on their own launcher but there’s crossplay and cross progression across the board, I’d be all in for the Sony ecosystem.

I don't know Rand. Microsoft has biggest exclusive of the year with Palworld? Sony has Helldivers 2 though. Even if Xbox gets lucky enough to get the diamond in the rough, Playstation is always luckier and outshines the Xbox somehow...this is what scares me...

Square will release ff7 remake in 5 years if the games are $80 by then they would try to sell it for $80 and then complain no one in xbox is buying their full price 10 years old game

Idk what Square projections are but getting paid extra $ from where your games sell best anyway seems like a good idea imo. Do we know how Crisis Core sold on Xbox? Something like Capcom's RE4 was game of the year nominated, critically acclaimed & multiplat and only sold 7 million copies. So miss me with install base ratios lol.

@@dageekynerd2898 The issue is that it has become obvious, whatever deal they have isn't making Square happy. Could have been based on pandemic numbers, which would be really stupid, or the buying habits have changed. For example, the deal could be that Sony gets a lock and markets the game, Square doesn't get a massive upfront payout but gets a reduced royalty rate, and sony gets first dibs to extend the deal. In that sitch Square stands to make a lot more than a quick payout but only if the game sells. Obviously, this is all speculation, but as we all know now, the deal does not appear to be one that Square is fond of.

@@vaguedreams Sorta feel like Square Enix often has unrealistic sales expectations and I’m not sure simply putting a game more places would solve that. That would raise expectations no? They’ve complained about Guardians, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Sleeping Dogs too and they're all multiplats lol.

It may not have solved the issue, because knowing that goofball he would have expected triple the sales, but an extra 30-50% more sales would still be a significant increase in money. Honestly, the numbers could be even more when you consider how thirsty XBox gamers were for games over the last 3 years. PS5 had games from launch up until this last year. The XBox had some but lets be honest, we've been waiting. If FF16 and rebirth came out, they would have had no competition.

I'm going to make one more prediction. PS5 sales are going to start to falter massively being down YOY. Its games are going to start to falter as well. You are going to see month after month, Switch outselling PS5 this year. When that happens, you same people will start to say Nintendo should put their games on PS5 and its not fair they aren't doing that. That's going to be the new narrative. Just watch.

Yeah I don't expect it to be a big deal despite Microsoft trying it.

On Starfield, it’s very plausible they don’t want people knowing it’s coming to PlayStation because they want the lions share of the DLC revenue coming from sales on Xbox where they get everything.

Ever since the Xbox biz update, momentum and fan mindshare has been completely destroyed. Nate can cope all he wants, but Phil Spencer and Matt Booty are complete failures. I pity the people who genuinely think these 4 games are the ONLY games that will arrive. Phil should’ve been straight up and said that this will be their strategy moving forward, rather than peeling the bandaid off slowly. Just Rip it off

There’s a time exclusivity on PC as well which is stupid, they’re initially killing their hype for their own game then a year or two later, releasing it on PC for meh sales

Well I guess you're right ps doesn't have 1 console exclusive that can beat palworld they have 2 that will most likely crush palworld numbers within days if not day 1 lol. They have a hoyoverse game zzz and star rail had 20 million downloads in a single day lol. Not to mention wuthering waves actually looks good and that ass tower of fantasy hit 10 million in 15 days. So yeah it'll be interesting to see what happens with these games.

I think it all depends on Xbox’s strategy now and I strongly believe they’re going multiplat. I don’t believe they care to sell the console anymore. No one knew about sea of thieves port until December. And it’s coming out 5 months later. A game from rare who hasn’t developeed a game for ps in years. As Nate said there’s already a lot of work done on ps ports for Bethesda games. I feel like they can drop Bethesda games at a flip of a switch on ps. So I don’t see how you can guarantee a starfield version can’t come out on ps5 by 2024 or 2025.

It was incredibly cringe watching the segment when Nate the Fake Insider tried to talk about the non-existent Switch 2. Every talking point he had was the same spiel spammed for 20 years and the Switch obliterated them all. Yet he still clings to them for dear life. Its like... Blah blah blah That didnt affect the Switch Blah blah blah Nintendo and its fans doesnt care Blah blah blah So what? Switch still won the generation and is still sold the most hardware Its comical and sad at the same time. What's also funny is when he mentioned Avowed. Why do you make the assumption that me or any other Switch owner gives a F*** about Avowed? You see any Switch owner asking for it?

@NatetheHate Nate you are making a great job and did nothing wrong to report the information you got - even if some details were misinterpreted by the person telling you or something like that. You can only report what you think might be true and is important for people to know. And it was important. People aren't hating you personally they just project their fear and anger of Xbox/Microsoft at you and don't realize it. But I think you know that.
