I live in zone 4 B and have never dug any up...shame on me...but my tulip beds always look like your first-year planting. Maybe it's the zone I'm in? Also, some tulip types are better at over-wintering than others and will come back the next year like clockwork. I only plant Darwins and Triumphs which seem to do great. I also buy my bulbs on-line from Holland Bulbs and Tulip World. I have at least 1500 tulips in my gardens, and they just keep multiplying. This is actually the first year I'm going to dig some up this summer, only because I plan to add some other flowers in one of the current beds, so they need to be relocated. Also, if you plan to leave your bulbs in the ground once the leaves die back, you can't plant annuals over them! The watering of the annuals will rot the bulbs. instead, you can sink pots into the ground between the bulbs, plant annuals in the pots only, so you can control the water. PS - Your tulips are beautiful and clearly impress the neighbors!

Beautiful garden! I was wondering why mines look so deformed. I was never a fan of plants that have bulbs like lilies and tulips happen to be in my garden. I probably won’t keep them because of how much work I need to put in from watching your video. Good tips and it’s not for everyone for sure.

the plastic legs are fine, they're not designed for you to move the cabinets sideways or to slide them around. They're designed for downwards force, not side force (which should never happen anyway).

Really nice walk through👍 I must say though that no matter how fine your equipment are - the coffee won’t taste better than the coffee beans you are using. I would never go with Lavazza. To do your fine equipment justice, you should never by coffee beans that are more than two weeks from roasting time. Usually I will get coffee beans that are only 5-7 days from roasting time at our local coffee roastery. It makes all the difference in taste - I guarantee 😁👍☕️

Thanks! Great idea and video. We removed a wall in an old farmhouse--the new layout is great, but there is the same bi-directional slope issue between the floors that has to be solved. The sloping is even more extreme and over a shorter run. We'll take your shim idea and lay down something flexible in a distinct pattern to visually create a threshold and minimize risk of tripping on the part with the biggest height differential. It needs a comprehensive solution later (including removing two! two! extra layers of subfloor that were never removed), but c'est la vie with a modest reno budget.

But floors are not sagging in stright line. They go like 2" of level than 2,5 than go to 1,5.

Did you go back and sand all the displaced OSB from your screw holes? I just finished raising my subfloor to make my new flooring flush with the 3/4” cherry in my kitchen and I’m trying to figure out the best way to do this. Thank you.

Omg we were so close. I have been on the struggle with BM Advance. I first tried to brush/roll it on, that was a fail so I sanded down my two 7' doors and moved onto spraying. I have a Fuji MM 3, so one stage less than yours. I have a few questions you were very close to answering. 1) What viscosity did you thin the advance down to? How many seconds in the Ford cup? 2) Gun setup, did you start from wide open and bring the paint flow down to get a good fan or start at zero and work up? 3) What tip/aircap size? 4) What size systainer is that? My problem is I have a slight orange peel thing going on. I thinned to about 55 seconds in #4 Ford cup, which was way more than 10% water. I had no Floetrol so it was all water, it sprayed okay with a 1.8mm tip but Im afraid that the added water evaporated too fast so the paint didn't level enough and/or not enough solids were deposited so it peeled a bit. Hoping you can remember what you did, I have been searching everywhere for specific info on Fuji + Advance spray settings. Either way, great video 👍
