Вопрос по звуковой карте UMC204HD. Когда крутилки gain1 и gain2 выкручены на максимум по часовой стрелке, а в левых гнёздах где микрофон ничего не подключено, есть шум в наушниках которые подключены в гнездо на передней панели?

KH120 user here of 5 yrs. I found the same thing, they are very low mid forward. I've found that going into the eq switches on the back and taking out some low mids and adding the 1db treble boost has turned them into really balanced little monitors that are like microscopes for audio. I also found that getting them as close to me as possible also made a big difference! Definitely temped by the Barefoot Footprint 03s though as an upgrade!

It's strange for sound levels of analog and digital units: Analog sound levels from 0 to ∞ dB Digital sound levels from - ∞ to 0 dB (I see this in many editing software)

Your voice listened on a pair of Sony MDR7506 studio headphones sounds best on the Neumann K105, second SM58, third SM7b, fourth (because of the annoying hights in combination with missing midrange) Sennheiser E945 (and I am a 'Sennie', I prefer the E835 way over the SM58 for vocals and the E609 way over the SM57 for guitar, but not all Sennheiser mics make a good natural balance)

there's only small difference, Scarlett sounds good, but i believe when behringers output if mixed and mastered well, it will give the same output with the Scarlett final output. it will depend on the mixing process

You can’t correct for Nulls. It is not physically possible. Boosting a null will just result in additional Nulling. None of these systems should boost nulls. Trinnov sound like dogs**t. The FIR filters messes with the transients, and the phase coherence is much too focused on listening position, and not enough attention to the dispersion characteristics of the speaker.

I may have to buy a Volt! I’m currently using a Presonus 24C but having major problems with it. (Mixer knob doesn’t work right, not getting a clean signal when using either of my mics-distorting without clipping😖) I was looking at getting a Tascam 208i; I wonder which would be better. Anyone have thoughts on that? Def need the 5-pin midi inputs for my man’s electronic drums

Currently deciding between the bss and the neve so this vid was really useful! I just received an ssl six on which the hi z input sounds much smoother on my stratocaster (using an amp sim itb). I was surprised to hear the difference when I tried the bss which seems to provide more high frequency content and an overall more glassy sound (which I like on my guitars). I asked SSL about this and send them some audio samples. They responded that they try to keep the THD as low as possible on their console channels which might account for a little bit less of high frequencies. Goes to show that these di boxes do have an impact on your tone. I will soon receive the neve for testing and i'm curious how it will impact the sound.

Hi I am buying first audio interface. Should i buy 3rd gen or 4rth (which is most costly)? Purpose: live streaming concerts and lections to zoom / KZread, band (drums, keyboard, gitars), church. Source: mixing console, stereo pair (jack jack).

For a first interface the gen 3 2i2 would do all that you need and should be cheaper compared to gen 4.

The big things for me are ergonomics, the experience, and inspiration. Being able to turn a knob vs use my mouse is significant in all 3 places. It's significantly less wear and tear on my arm (I've had 3 surgeries), it feels tangible which tends to allow me to really feel the music more intimately, and of course because of that I'm inspired to work and have fun doing so!

Ozone does almost all Master Plan does, plus some 100 other things if you need it to. There's no way you can compare these. That's why Ozone costs a lot more, because it gives you a lot more, too. You really have to tweak it (like removing the excessive low end) like you did with Master Plan. That being said, I like Master Plan for simple moves on the mix bus before the song hits the mastering stage.

Analog alerts the sound while digital doesn't. Is mixing and mastering a part of music creation or just an engineering tool to balance the frequencies and dynamics? That's the question. I think musicians prefer the analog grars because they add a touch to the sound, and this is wrong, in my opinion.

Hey, great review! I wanna ask for your recommendation, I'm looking for the best sound you can get for headphones and speakers that can also power 250 ohms headphones (dt 1990) I don't mind about preamps and DI, I only care about sound quality, what would you say is a good pick for that (out of any interface)? Also, is a dedicated amp/dac like the topping is actually worth it over any of these? or is the difference negligible? I was looking at the new presonus quantum es2 aswell, maybe you could review this too to compare?

Loved the video! Great stuff: I liked the focusing influence of the API myself -- while the NEVE had an awesome 'scooped' sound with plenty of bite to it, I would likely prefer adding character saturation like that before reaching the summing stage, but both sounded great! The in-the-box mixing environment desperately needs lots of non-linear summing plugs like these!
