I have PMC 6-02 and ill never turn back. Amazing.
Great speakers!
GREAT VIDEOOOOO !!!!!!! THANKS !!!!
Hope it was helpful🔥
Though I would prefer focus rite,I guess they're both good audio interface, the rest issues can be dealt with mixing and mastering thank you
Вопрос по звуковой карте UMC204HD. Когда крутилки gain1 и gain2 выкручены на максимум по часовой стрелке, а в левых гнёздах где микрофон ничего не подключено, есть шум в наушниках которые подключены в гнездо на передней панели?
Master plan best. Thanksd for video. we love you bro :)
Thanks for showing your appreciation 🤘
KH120 user here of 5 yrs. I found the same thing, they are very low mid forward. I've found that going into the eq switches on the back and taking out some low mids and adding the 1db treble boost has turned them into really balanced little monitors that are like microscopes for audio. I also found that getting them as close to me as possible also made a big difference! Definitely temped by the Barefoot Footprint 03s though as an upgrade!
That's great! Definitely try the Barefoots before you try them. I hated them! Amphions and PSIs all the way for me now.
It's strange for sound levels of analog and digital units: Analog sound levels from 0 to ∞ dB Digital sound levels from - ∞ to 0 dB (I see this in many editing software)
LOVE this song...
Analog or digital? Cubase or Pro tools? AKG or Shure? Sabian or Zildjian? Gibson or Fender? Just learning and practicing !!!
Analogue. ProTools. Shure. Zildjian. Fender. 😉
e 935... trust me...
Your voice listened on a pair of Sony MDR7506 studio headphones sounds best on the Neumann K105, second SM58, third SM7b, fourth (because of the annoying hights in combination with missing midrange) Sennheiser E945 (and I am a 'Sennie', I prefer the E835 way over the SM58 for vocals and the E609 way over the SM57 for guitar, but not all Sennheiser mics make a good natural balance)
The difference is high, Behringer has annoying noises while Scarlett is clean and warm.
What mic would you recommend to connect with the topping? Or can any mic in particular work 🤔
What are you recording?
@@EdThorne Got a standard condenser atm but want to upgrade
@mwaves4152 The preamps on an Audient are better sounding IMO. But no interface under £1800 beats this headphone amp!!!!
Singer’s FANTASTIC!!
Yes, he really is. @jessesmithuk
Hi, I would have liked a comparison with the Lewitt Connect 6 interface. Thank you.
No-one uses it. These are the most popular devices in this price range.
@@EdThorne Hi, Thank you for your reply. From the videos I've seen, the Lewit Connect 6 seems to be a very good product. Whereas Focusrite is often criticized.
there's only small difference, Scarlett sounds good, but i believe when behringers output if mixed and mastered well, it will give the same output with the Scarlett final output. it will depend on the mixing process
I hear a much smoother and 3-D sound with Hardware I'm actually regretting buying a lot of the plugins I own especially WAVES.
I personally preferred the Beringer but just. Both sound very similar.
How are you finding the kh750 sub?
You can’t correct for Nulls. It is not physically possible. Boosting a null will just result in additional Nulling. None of these systems should boost nulls. Trinnov sound like dogs**t. The FIR filters messes with the transients, and the phase coherence is much too focused on listening position, and not enough attention to the dispersion characteristics of the speaker.
I want all the compressors, all the preamps, and all the eqs. I want it all.
Thank you
i have akg k702 ..please tell me which one have more headphones gain for akg k702
I may have to buy a Volt! I’m currently using a Presonus 24C but having major problems with it. (Mixer knob doesn’t work right, not getting a clean signal when using either of my mics-distorting without clipping😖) I was looking at getting a Tascam 208i; I wonder which would be better. Anyone have thoughts on that? Def need the 5-pin midi inputs for my man’s electronic drums
Great song and performance!! Thank you for doing this review. Gonna have to pick up one of these interfaces
Thanks.
Currently deciding between the bss and the neve so this vid was really useful! I just received an ssl six on which the hi z input sounds much smoother on my stratocaster (using an amp sim itb). I was surprised to hear the difference when I tried the bss which seems to provide more high frequency content and an overall more glassy sound (which I like on my guitars). I asked SSL about this and send them some audio samples. They responded that they try to keep the THD as low as possible on their console channels which might account for a little bit less of high frequencies. Goes to show that these di boxes do have an impact on your tone. I will soon receive the neve for testing and i'm curious how it will impact the sound.
Is there something that beats the clarett in general? In terms of quality and price point? I've a need for this to use with my sE VR2 mic for recording audio and to use with my amp when performing.
Sm58 all day long 👍🏼
Hi I am buying first audio interface. Should i buy 3rd gen or 4rth (which is most costly)? Purpose: live streaming concerts and lections to zoom / KZread, band (drums, keyboard, gitars), church. Source: mixing console, stereo pair (jack jack).
For a first interface the gen 3 2i2 would do all that you need and should be cheaper compared to gen 4.
I've used a MOTU Audio Express heavily since 2012 without any problems until I recently fried it. (Don't ask). I'm sticking with MOTU and buying a M4. Quality products, great company name.
The big things for me are ergonomics, the experience, and inspiration. Being able to turn a knob vs use my mouse is significant in all 3 places. It's significantly less wear and tear on my arm (I've had 3 surgeries), it feels tangible which tends to allow me to really feel the music more intimately, and of course because of that I'm inspired to work and have fun doing so!
can you use all uad plugins on the volt serious?
Or does it?
Volt for meee
Ozone does almost all Master Plan does, plus some 100 other things if you need it to. There's no way you can compare these. That's why Ozone costs a lot more, because it gives you a lot more, too. You really have to tweak it (like removing the excessive low end) like you did with Master Plan. That being said, I like Master Plan for simple moves on the mix bus before the song hits the mastering stage.
I guess Neve will always keeps to itself its special spreadable mid\ high end. The more i get involved with those comparisons the more it gets clearer.
does it beat audient?
Hello guys ım planning to replace my old behringer mic and um2.I came across 2 different recording packages. One is SSL2 which includes SSL2 + SMC-80 mic + SHP-20 headphones. The other one is Volt 276 recording package.(ı don't know the names of headphones and mic).Price is the same.I can't decide please help.
Jason prob get some of the best record/tracked songs in the world so they prob really don't need a analog touch, he does have a otb mix bus 4 sure
Hm, that's weird that you missed ADAM and HEDD then.
Analog alerts the sound while digital doesn't. Is mixing and mastering a part of music creation or just an engineering tool to balance the frequencies and dynamics? That's the question. I think musicians prefer the analog grars because they add a touch to the sound, and this is wrong, in my opinion.
Hey, great review! I wanna ask for your recommendation, I'm looking for the best sound you can get for headphones and speakers that can also power 250 ohms headphones (dt 1990) I don't mind about preamps and DI, I only care about sound quality, what would you say is a good pick for that (out of any interface)? Also, is a dedicated amp/dac like the topping is actually worth it over any of these? or is the difference negligible? I was looking at the new presonus quantum es2 aswell, maybe you could review this too to compare?
The Topping E2X2 has THE best headphone amplifier on any interface under £1800!
He said Genelec sounds clinical… but the Neumann monitors or way more clinical in my opinion. I chose the Genelec 8361a over the Neumann’s. Genelec are definitely end game monitors.
What does this mean for better vocals
Loved the video! Great stuff: I liked the focusing influence of the API myself -- while the NEVE had an awesome 'scooped' sound with plenty of bite to it, I would likely prefer adding character saturation like that before reaching the summing stage, but both sounded great! The in-the-box mixing environment desperately needs lots of non-linear summing plugs like these!
When you maybe do the Hedd review, can you give your opioin in comparioson to the MUM-8's?... I don't you got to heAR THE 6'S, but if you did
Can you tell me about the type of computer I need to buy that will get the job done. As far as Gigabites and all that. I plan on buy a used Mac book pro on ebay. What should I get? I've see 8 GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. What is good, and what is bad?
I suggest getting an M1/2 max with as much RAM as you can afford! The specs on the new macs are so good, any model is sufficient. As always though, get the best you can afford and future proof yourself so it lasts a long time.
in the final mix sounds amazing, it glues it so well
This whole discussion is a way to avoid the obvious truth: skill is what makes consistent world class mixes. Its as childish as somebody saying you need adidas football boots to be world class... If you like em, fine, but it doesnt make you better or worse.
So what is best for me on a Computer PC. i have a sound card that can play 16-bits or 24-bits and betwen 44.1 Khz - 48 Khz - 88.2 Khz - 96 Khz - 176.4 Khz - 192 Khz ... Witch one is best do you think? Thx for a good video. / Sweden!
