I have both the UAD x16 and since a few month ago, i get the Aurora Lynx mk2 and have to say the difference is noticeable in the Aurora, sound more deeper and open, the lows sound round and the stereo image , mid and highs sound pristine.

I’m looking to upgrade to a Lynx Aurora (n) as and when I can. Problem I have now is any upgrade to any part of my studio is £5k+ 🤣

Thanks. This video wasn’t my usual production standard but thought it’d be an interesting “behind the scenes of an eve loving studio”.
Been a stoked user of an Apollo x16 for a few years now! Sounds lovely and has been rock solid in reliability!

That’s awesome! It’s nailing the job for me too.
I was running two Apollo's in my tracking space -- one 8p and one x8. Sold the 8p and upgraded to a slightly used x16 and added a Heritage Audio OST-8 ADAT. Love it. I track everything with analog outboard into LUNA. Love your set up -- I'm very interested in that Flock Audio Patch.

Thanks. Analog in is definitely the way forward. I use a hybrid mix of analog and plugins for mixing. You’ve got a good set-up there! 🔥 Check out the Flock, it’s unreal!

Haha a cool watch, it amazes me how much great gear you pros have! I have a laptop, Volt 276, Beyer Dynamic headphones and nothing else! No wonder I produce shite! Top stuff as always Ed!

Got to do the same in a few weeks. My new drum room will be ready soon. Have 4 racks worth to move and re-cable! All good fun though. Adding some new pres for the drum tracking. Hope your upgrades work out.

Thats why im just getting a good ad/da converter and a good mic pre and just stay completely in the box with analog and the wiring is just pain and headache to setup and mentain bro

I considered this but I wanted the flexibility the Flock Audio Patch provides for unlimited routing possibilities. You’re quite limited to single send/returns or fixed mono module chains with the Cranbourne.
