@EdThorne Just a friendly advice... Unless you know something that the rest of the world doesn't, you need to swap the left and right speaker. Also, I'm not sure that you get the best out of those speakers when they are placed so close to you. Get some stands and get the speakers behind the desk in a triangle with your listening position (equal distance between the speakers and your head, so get them further back and to the sides and swap the left and right speaker) and you will hear a massive difference. No need to spend £10k or whatever on monitoring and trinnov when the setup is done like that. You only get 70 % out of the setup right now. I don't want to be a c*nt here, just trying to help you.

Thanks for the suggestion. They have been moved further apart now. As for swapping them round, a few people have said this but most manufacturers (ATC/PMC/PDP/EVE/HEDD/Focal) suggest having the tweeter on the inside. I may do a video exploring this subject further but ultimately it depends on how they perform in your room. This set up (now spread further apart) works perfectly with the speakers at 30 degrees to create a wide listening area where my listening position is. Regarding Trinnov, your comment suggests you haven’t used one. The genius behind it is the phase coherence. It literally doubles the quality of the speakers!

@@EdThorne I seriously doubt that Trinnov will pay off for most of us if you consider the cost compared to what you get back. That kind of money are best invested in other things, at least the first few years until everything else is in place. You obviously could afford it and wanted to try it out. Fair enough! Regarding the tweeters for mid field and far field monitors it really does not matter. But looking at something like Neumanns KH 310, Dynaudio LYD 47/48 etc that are near filed monitors the tweeters are on the outside for a wider stereo image so you actually can move your head at least some when mixing. But again, it all depends on what options are available in terms of space etc.

Yeh, brands like Neumann are always pictured tweeters out. It depends on your listening space. Trust me when I say Trinnov is GAME CHANGING! But you have to hear it to believe it… 🫣

@EirikHasselberg The new Nova is £3895 or so with a stereo license (admittedly another £900 for an additional stereo license - to run subs for example).

Love our videos …learned a lot. But hearing your mixes on KZread doesn’t really do then Justice. KZread audio is poor at best
