Thanks for the video! It'd be great if you can display the prices in Yen too instead of just USD though 😁
Hi, thank you for your kind suggestion! I will definitely consider it for the upcoming videos👍
Do I have to get a Japanese number to use transport services or will they be able to take the number of the hotel?
Hi! From my understanding, you don't need a Japanese phone number to use transport services. All you need is data or a WiFi connection. If you need to provide a phone number, you can usually use your hotel's number. I hope you find this useful! If you provide more context, I might be able to give a better answer. Thanks for watching! I wish you the best stay if you're already in Japan.
Thank you! I love your video about Book Off! Now I'm gonna go search for it. I'm coming to Japan on Tuesday
Hi! I’m glad you liked the BOOK OFF video. I recommend you also research BOOK OFF locations near where you’re staying; it may save you some time and money. I wish you the best during your stay in Japan. It's been pretty hot here recently, so please take care of yourself when you visit.
Skylanders ?
Hi! To be honest, I'm not very familiar with Skylanders. From my research, I found that it's a toys-to-life action-adventure video game franchise that also has figures sold separately. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Are you a fan?
Thanks for the walkthrough. On my list for my next visit (October).
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed the walkthrough. Have an awesome trip in October! Thanks for watching.
I am heading to Japan with my family in September, and I'm looking forward to visiting a handful of these 'Hard Off's. The one in Hachioji seems like the largest and best but it's a bit far away from where we are staying and these ones here seem just right, close, convenient, and full of everything I'm looking to hunt down!
That sounds like a fantastic trip! Visiting the nearby Hard Off stores should be a great option. Have a wonderful time hunting down those treasures in Japan! Thanks for watching.
I'm a Japanese person learning English. Please come visit Japan! there are lots of Book Off stores all over Japan, so touring those would be a great idea! Wishing your trip will be amazing! Sorry if the translation sounds odd; I'm translating using ChatGPT!
So they went with that name instead of Hard*On
Hi! I think they chose that name to avoid any potential awkwardness or misunderstandings. Thanks for watching!
How can one buy them if theyre all locked up?
Hi! Usually, you just need to ask a store staff member for assistance. They’ll unlock the display case and help you with your purchase.
Thank you!
Hi! you are welcome! Thanks for watching!
dude how much that shin ultraman shf figure?
Hi! I'm sorry, but I wasn't aware of this figure, so I can't provide the exact price. However, I've seen similar figures in other stores priced between 5,000 to 10,000 JPY (approximately 30 to 65 USD). I hope you find this information useful. Thanks for watching!
I love Akihabara, Tokyo!
Hi! Akihabara is such an amazing place. Thanks for watching!
Which day will most of the shops open?
Hi! Most stores in Nakano Broadway are open every day of the week, typically from 11 AM to 8 PM. In my opinion, most stores are open on weekends, but it can be incredibly busy there! Thanks for watching.
Great video as always. Prefer you do more long videos than your previous 10 to 15 mins video. Ichiban kuji figures was really pricey in this new store like you mentioned. So going to avoid in my next month trip to japan.
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. In most of the stores I’ve visited in Akihabara, Ichiban Kuji figures are really pricey in my opinion. Second-hand stores like BOOK OFF or Hobby OFF outside of Tokyo might be a good option to find better prices.
Not bad the three figure for the price. Not fan of frieza however
Hi, thank you for your comment. The Frieza figure was smaller than I expected, but I was happy to get the Vegeta figure!
Please visit arcade games centers in akihabara
Hi! Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to visit the arcade games in Akiba recently, but I’ll definitely check them out on my next visit. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video but every now and then please also take a good look at the non-prize figures and that is not Dragon Ball Naruto one piece at least the video varies a little, personal opinion obviously.
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. May I ask what kind of non-prize figures you are interested in? I’ll keep them in mind when visiting stores for upcoming videos.
@@4kjapanspace07 Thanks for the reply, I collect anime figures, even recent ones, the brands range from Alter to the Good smile company - Furiyu - Quess Q in short the medium-high range ones and if I may ask again will you make a video of the new Amiami Tower still there in Akihabara? Thanks again
Hi, Thank you for the reply! I will definitely consider making a video with your figure suggestions and including the Amami Tower in Akiba. Thanks for watching.
Oh Yes!!! Nice late night upload! Gonna enjoy this!😃
Hi! Glad you're excited! I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you for your kind comments and for watching😃!
@@4kjapanspace07 I’ll watch it all over again for the next days!
@rommelflores2618I really appreciate your support! It’s people like you who motivate me to bring you the best content possible!
@@4kjapanspace07wow the gachapons are fantastic and the surprise bag with 3900 yen is so full of joy, is that a new store? I would love to buy a couple of those!
I’m glad you liked them! I’ll try to get the full set of the Dragon Ball gachapons. Yes, it is a new store, and I think it was a good deal considering the prices in Akiba. I’ve seen these figures priced between 1500 to 2000 yen each. Of course, you might find better prices in second-hand stores outside of Tokyo.
Tachikawa and Machida Book offs are pretty dope. Bests in tokyo tbh
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check out the Tachikawa and Machida Book Offs next time!
mf went to japan only to buy dragon ball and naruto stuff lmaooooo
Hi! Can't resist Dragon Ball and Naruto! Buying your favorite anime stuff in Japan is such a great experience. Thanks for watching!
ASTOP is a joke. prices are ubsurd due to foreigners not knowing the value of a figure. ATOP lets people create their own boxes to sell at higher prices in hopes a clueless foreigners will buy their favorite one piece character as a prize figure for 8000 yen. (ー_ー;)
Hi! Having visited some anime figure stores in Tokyo, I've realized that ASTOP is definitely not a cheap option. It’s disappointing and frustrating when prices are inflated, especially for those who know the true value of the figures. It's always best to do some research and compare prices before buying. I hope you can find better deals elsewhere! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Those are basically USA prices😑 hate that content creators gave up all the good store now everything is basically the same price as USA stuff
Hi! I share your frustration. It’s true that sharing information can sometimes drive prices up. I also believe that the recent increase in tourism in Japan contributes to higher prices for goods (video games, consoles, anime figures, and merchandise) and services, especially in tourist areas, which also frustrates the locals. Thanks for your feedback!
They make more money off of tourists than locals so it does make sense. I’m sure theres other store that still cater to the japanese market thus better prices
@@crashharmonyroberson5076 yeah I found a book off on the outskirts pay 60 for a vita, 20 for a Wii, and 50 for 3ds. In Chiba
@@crashharmonyroberson5076 Hi, I agree with you. Particularly in the countryside of Japan, there are definitely stores with better prices. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Wish I had found this place earlier during my trip. I went to all the other Surugaya in Kyoto and Osaka, but totally neglected Tokyo's. Found some gems there.
Hi! Tokyo’s Surugaya is definitely worth a visit. Hopefully, you can check it out on your next trip. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Does the colour of the price tag mean anything?
Hi, thank you for your comment. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the price tag colors are an internal code in the store to indicate the condition and type of the item. On my next visit, I'll ask the staff for an explanation and let you know. Thanks for watching!
the orange tag means used, the blue tag means new and the pink tag means pre-order (usually)
Hi! Thank you for your contribution🙏. I really appreciate it.
Happy Saturday night. I didn't walk there. Must be a bucket list next visit!
Wow haven for anime figures, shall go there in the future!
Happy Saturday to you too! Definitely add it to your bucket list for your next visit-it's a great place to find anime figures in Shinjuku.
@@rommelflores2618 Thanks for watching, and I hope you get to explore it on your next trip to Japan! Best regards
only zoomed in on what he is interested. so can't see many of the items the store has to offer.
Thank you for your feedback! I understand it can be frustrating not to see everything the store has to offer. Filming in a busy store can be challenging, especially with so many people shopping. I tried to focus on items that I thought would be of most interest to viewers, but I appreciate your point. I'll keep your feedback in mind for future videos to try and provide a more comprehensive view. Thanks for watching and for your understanding!
One Piece totally ain’t cheap….gosh….
Hi! ONE PIECE figures aren’t cheap, especially in Akihabara or other tourist cities. However, you can still find better prices in second-hand stores like Hard Off or BOOK OFF, especially in rural areas.
Great video as always. I wish you would focus on dragon ball z ichiban kuji figures price range in a video. As we are traveling to japan in july. Want to know the best places to start buying figures. Thank you.
Hi there! Thank you for your kind words! I'll definitely consider making a video focused on the stores where you can find Dragon Ball Z Ichiban Kuji figures, so stay tuned for the upcoming videos.
Hi. How much was the price range for ichiban kuji figures of dragon ball z. Example of greatest saiyin ssj4 gogeta figure you show @5:37 minutes in video??
Hi! the DBZ Ichiban Kuji figures range in price from $30 to $90 USD. The Greatest Saiyan SSJ4 is around $54 USD. Thanks for watching!
@@4kjapanspace07 Thank you so much. Your videos are really informative and straight to the point.
You’re welcome! I’m glad you like the content. Happy to help!
Neato!
Best thing I bought at Book Off Asahikawa was an amazing condition Michael Jackson Thriller LP for only 1100 yen.
Hi there! Wow, it seems you found a great deal! That’s why visiting BOOK OFF and HARD OFF is so exciting-you never know when you’ll find treasures! Thanks for watching🙏
This is what I like... go inside, look at the merchandise ❤😍😍... Many others just walk and walk and walk 😅
Hi! Thank you for your kind comment! I’m glad you like this content. I really want to show you everything so you can have a better idea of the kinds of products you can find in second-hand stores in Japan👍
again, my favorite vlog, nice video 👍
Hi! Thank you for your kind comment!
Next time explore anime figures stores please
Hi! Thank you for your kind suggestion! I’ll consider it for the upcoming videos!👍

please stop with the money sound effect, it is ultra annonying.
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll tone down the money sound effect in future videos. Your input is really helpful!

The BOOK OFFs in the suburbs/rural areas have way better prices
Thank you for your comment! I agree with you. I'll definitely check out more suburban/rural Book Offs and Hard Off stores.
True. But selection sucks.
True. But selection sucks.
@@solomani5959 You have a good point! It's true that Book Off and Hard Off stores in rural areas often have better prices, but the selection can be limited. In my opinion, finding a good selection and prices really depends on what you're interested in and looking for. Thanks for sharing!
Bro I’m planning to visit japan should I consider buying a ps5 from this store i mean is this trustable?
Hi there! Regarding your question, I would say the following: 1) Buying second-hand items like consoles from BOOK OFF is trustworthy since they check the console and usually indicate any malfunctions or important information, such as warranty, on the price label. 2) If you have the budget, consider buying a new PS5. The current exchange rate of JPY to USD and the tax-free option can make for a good deal. 3) However, if you find a PS5 in good condition and at a good price at BOOK OFF, I recommend carefully checking the price label and its information using Google Translate. Also, ask the store staff any questions to ensure clarity. BOOK OFF also offers tax-free options, so you might find a great deal there. Sorry for the long response, but I wanted to make sure you have all the information you need for shopping in Japan 🇯🇵.

Not specifying a few items were from the Junk section.. a little misleading.
Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. You're right; I should have clarified which items were from the Junk section. I'll make sure to be more specific in future videos. Appreciate your input!
this type of vlog is the one that I like, especially when I can see the price tag 🤣
Hi! Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!

Did you happen to see any second hand PS Vitas for sale?
Hi! Unfortunately, I did not take the time to check if there were PS Vitas for sale. I will make sure to do that during my future visits to Book Off and Hard Off. Thanks for watching!
Was this at the one in owada or horinouchi? Both come up when I search for hardoff in hachioji
Hi! it was the one in Owadamachi! it appears me as "Hard Off Hachioji Owada" in google maps. Thanks for watching!
