Is it 2009??
2013
Sounds good Is it a mot backhander job now? Got a 335d want to delete everything on exhaust
Yeah it all starting now boxes or dpf
The problem is a turbo. 335 has two turbos in 1 and that smaller one blows that's the biggest problem
Do you turn the water supply off when using the foam gun?
No mate keep it on 👍
@@330dfam top man cheers mate👍🏼
Alright lad where around Liverpool shall i go to remap my 330D?
Drw in Kirby are good my mate does them in Southport we have had them on all our cars decent ….cl autos north west 👍
Ordered one and the diffuser is around an inch too short
Thought mine was, but if you work from one side it fitted properly, if your not happy or can’t fit it send it back before you brake it 😂, honestly initially I thought the same 🤷🏼♂️
@@330dfam do you have anywhere that I'll be able to send you photos of how short it is Instagram or Facebook as this is massively short
Are you running any intakes?if so I would love to know what kind, cannot find anything anywhere,it’s like they don’t exist for the n57
Hi mate not my car unfortunately no no intakes
Do not apply on direct sunlight
I have a 21 plate one, tyres are brutal i had sport contact 6’s on to start but they only lasted 7k miles, have switched to Michelin PS 4 SUV and are wearing so much better.
That things an animal eats tyres 😂😂great car tho
@@330dfam it is, tempted to put an exhaust on mine, perfect one car garage
@26NEWERA to be think this has had the down pipes sound amazing
Looking at a 3od with 120k on it, antyhing i should be wary of other than the chain?
Hi to be honest the chains are the main one maybe take a look at rear sub frame at that mileage for rust 💪
Wow, never knew you could reset the service lights without a code reader!! 😃Thank you so much guys for your time and efforts filming this, I'm crossing my fingers my old 2006 330d has the same feature? I can't see why not as your binnacle cluster screen looks the same as mine. Cheers Tom, all the best guys. 👍
No problem mate, I’m sure there the same, if you’re having an issue resetting stuff I had it on the wife’s car e92 and the brake were indicators needed changing even though they looked in good order and untouched, glad to help 💪🏼😎👍🏻
U need some good rear tyres mate
Think your right there mate, I know have eagle f1’s with a slightly lower profile so I’ll try again soon
Both great cars, looking into a 335d touring shadow edition 2018 is there any major problems that you are aware of? Thanks
Hi mate just watch out that it’s had regular services hence the timing chain issues 💪
330d E46 manual transmission mapped pulls like a train and the torque is enough to keep up with any car out there especially on motorways
Agreed mate, I had many a good time with my e46 330d mapped 200k+ milage, jutted I had to get rid of it, but iv still got the two m57 engines left in the e91 (manual 💪🏼) and e92, must admit tho the n57 in the f31 pulls well but unfortunately not a manual all mapped 👍🏻😎
Proper nerdy, but just got an F31 to replace my E91 and E91 is actually 6mm wider than F31. F32 is 43mm wider than E92.
Hi mate E91 can’t be wider than the F31 the entry in my work tells me that😂, interesting figures tho😎👍🏻
We're both right E91 wheelbase wider, when you take wing mirrors into account F31 slightly edges it. 👍
Gut the dpf
That is the most popular, cheapest route to go, and most stealth 🥷 but I wanted a shiny new 3” downpipe, toying with turbo upgrade as well to compliment it, but need to save up😂😎👍🏻
I LOVE IT BRO 😘👌
Thanks mate 💪🏼😎👍🏻
Really helpful video. Don’t suppose you could do a coolant change vid?
Hi mate thanks, don’t see why not, what h this space 😂😎👍🏻
My last mot, the tester was actually amazed I hadn't removed my cats and egr or had it mapped (its an e46 so no dpf) its on my list of things to do, but being a bmw, I usually have something else to fix before I get to it.
Afaik, the MOT guideline is that you can only check emissions equipment if its visible. they not expected to remove panels and go looking for deletes or anything. and im all for modified cars, the only reason why DPF's and EGR's are a thing is because the majority of owners, DONT change the oil regularly, dont look after the vehicle, dont use premium low ash oils, or high quality fuel. If the engines running optimally, a dpf isnt needed.
Here here I second that, recent mot has proved it, but in the interest of being correct I think a lot of people are right when they say if you have done a full dpf delete like mine and they notice it could be a fail 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻😎
F series for me but love not designs
I’m the same mate 💪
Worth keeping if you make your use out of it
We have an f34 335d x drive and it’s a big car
They are big mate compared to the old ones 💪
Ive been driving a stage 2 e63 635d for about 2 years, and i now i bought a f06 650i gran coupe and the difference is night and day. When i got the 635 it felt like such a huge car and then i drove the gran coupe and it felt like a land yacht compared to the e63. The 650 is more refined, luxurious and rides more softer, obviously it gets like double worse mpg and has that v8 growl, but the driveability of the diesel with all that torque just felt so effortless compared to the petrol, im already getting thoughts about buying e series 35d car after i decide to sell the 650 in the future. Greetings from Iceland :)
Hello mate Iceland 🇮🇸 yes 650 awesome with that v8 soundtrack 💪👍
Its not what you know, its who you know😉 mine flys thru with a downpipe.
Think the E92 is still great shape. Had them all. Really grown to like our f31 estate. I now think its prettier than the saloon.
Agreed mate but I still think the saloon is a great looking car 💪
I know what you mean mate, that’s why Iv got one😂, might be getting old but love the tourings now, still have soft spot for the rest tho 💪🏼👍🏻😎
Depends on the MOT tester. It's a legal requirement for this car to have a DPF so removing it is an automatic MOT fail but if the tester doesn't notice then you are lucky.
Hi mate My bad 🤦🏼♂️, saying that you can’t really notice with all the covers on, and emissions are spot as engine is good so it’s understandable you wouldn’t notice, but yes it could have failed, god knows what people do with a straight through exhaust tho 🤔😎👍🏻
Fella, you did the reverse aging thing... its meant to be petrol THEN diesel as we get older, so basically its you being an anarchist ...getting old sucks anyway!!!!! Enjoy!!
😂 cheers mate 💪
Hey Man howzit? Awesome stuff! Tell me how different is your fuel economy? I did a CAT, Swirl flap and partial Egr delete on my wife’s Merc C270 CDI. Its up from around 14km/Liter to around 25km/liter. Next is a full EGR and then also Turbo Muffler delete. I havent touched Software yet because theres no O2 sensors etc. Would like to hear your gains on the BMW.
Hi mate fuel economy is good to be fair it’s a 330d I average 30mpg everyday town driving, it’s only gone up 4mpg since Iv done the work but it’s mainly how I drive it 🤦🏼♂️, motorway I can easily manage 45-50 at about 70-80mph, power wise it’s gone from 231bhp to 285bhp 506Nm to 620Nm, all figures are quoted as it’s a generic map and not been on a rolling rd (yet 😂) but I can definitely tell there is a difference 💪🏼😎👍🏻
@@330dfam Thanks! Thats epic! Yeah I can say the C270 is also pulling a lot better. Oh yes I have also moved the breather to a Oil catch can. I have yet to get HP info on it. 😀 My sister drove a 330d. The balancer separated at one stage. They didnt replace it just made a mod to keep the serpentine belt going. Around 10k miles a hectic noise developed and the car did not drive. Turns out the Flex plate cracked from the vibration. Separating the crank from the torque converter. 🤦🏻♂️
Wow, that’s quite unlucky, did they fix it? The e91 is a manual 💪🏼 needs the dual mass doing but it is on 195k miles so I’ll let it off😂, the other two are autos
@@330dfam They sold the car for cheap. Thinking it could be that the Chain broke. It made a serious noise when you swing the starter and the engine would not turn. Obviously as the ring-gear is on the part that sheered off. The car had like 180k miles without a previous chain replacement🤦🏻♂️ The guy that bought it sent them the photos when he opened it all up. Ah yes Dual Mass vibes. My old E36 328i had a DMF. 😀😀
Only just run in on that milage, mustn’t have been looked after properly 🤦🏼♂️, shame there a good engine 👍🏻😎
Nice one Tom, where Martin these days 👀😂
He’s buying trainers😂, vaunt wait for my built hamber to arrive 💪🏼😎👍🏻
@@330dfam 😂😂 I thought so 👀👀 ahh nice, look forward to the test with Bilt Hamber 💪💪
Nice one Tom, where Martin these days 👀😂
Get Martin to polish them out 😊 I’ve been thinking of the EGR delete for quite a while as well as the swirl flaps 🤔
Just do it mate, your engine will thank you😂, Iv had mine mapped out on the f31 but it’s all still in, basically turned off when I got it stage 1ed 😎👍🏻
@@330dfam you know if our model have a transmission cooler? I’ve been looking at getting it from Darkside and there’s 2 options. With transmission cooler or without
@ShaksWD not sure mate, mine was just mapped out as it was brand new from the recall, darkside are quite expensive, I won’t be using them again I don’t think, mainly rebranded Chinese, my egr blank kit was about £50 cheaper off eBay and came with more 😂
@@330dfam thanks for the info 😂 comes to think of it, I’ve seen an intercooler on eBay and the description is pretty similar to the Darkside version but for half the price
@ShaksWD I got the dpf delete, could have got it £100 cheaper off eBay, but it wouldn’t have had the darkside plaque 😂, an the one off eBay you could fit both the sensors in not just 1 !
Isn't it illegal ?
Don’t see why if it passes the emissions 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻😎
@@330dfam It is illegal. As a modification your insurance company should be notified, but as it is illegal they will probably cancel your policy as it doesn't comply with road traffic legislation. It is also illegal to sell on a deleted vehicle. Mapping is totally different and not illegal, but insurance company's 'should' be notified.
Mate i cant believe you still got your wheels with that accent❤
Thanks mate, had to fit spacers so the fit nice in the arches as there off martins f30, 20mm front 30mm back , or do you mean the f31? Would prefer 19’s on that fill the arches better 🤔😂💪🏼👍🏻😎
Just done the same on n47. Drives much better
They do appreciate it 😂, I get why it’s fitted from factory but a better cleaner engine without 👀, 😎👍🏻
Did my 320d last year dpf delete remapped went through mot no issues
@@leeharrison2746 straight downpipe or gutted?
How much hp and torque it makes ? Btw awesome work on these cars 💪
Hi mate std it’s 232bhp 506nm mapped it’s 285bhp 620nm, that is a generic map so no rolling road figures but you can definitely tell the difference 💪🏼😎👍🏻
I was thinking about doing an egr delete on my m47 but was concerned about MOT. Good to know they aren't really looking for it
If the engine is healthy you shouldn’t have an issue, if your concerned get the internals gutted on the dpf then they can’t pull u up on it, in the uk it’s not technically a requirement 😎👍🏻
I blanked the EGR on my previous car and no problems with MOT. Done it as my inlet manifold was caked in soot.
Hi mate yer if you look at the vid where I did the egr, it was about 1/4 blanked off with soot 😎👍🏻
New f31 330d m sport owner...keep the vids coming. Enjoy watching you two download on these cars
Thanks mate appreciate it 💪🏼👍🏻😎
what does removing swirl flaps do
Hi mate, can reduce low down torque when removed, but if they fail they can destroy your engine, so that’s why Iv removed on all mine. Is rare for them to fail on a well looked after engine but if you miss oil changes etc there likely to jam and fail 😎👍🏻
My e92 330d has done 155k swirl flaps are fine but i think i have the lci revised flaps that dont break
Unless they’ve been changed with the aftermarket metal ones there’s still risk, I know they have been revised on the n57 f series tho, a lot of people keep them they just need a good clean along with the inlet after say 100k miles 👍🏻😎
I like ur videos but i don’t understand why all of you guys are removing the engine mount. i have 2007 e92 330d M57 and i’ve sucesfully removed it without any problems. just make sure you remove all the sensors before…
Hi mate, I had a quick go with the mount in place, the dpf was fouling on the bulkhead and didn’t look like it would slide past at all, spoke to my mate who’s done loads of them and his advice was to just remove the mount as I had an engine brace, if you got yours out you must be good at puzzles 🧩 😂💪🏼😎
Did you genuinely get it out without removing the mount ? I'm actually doing this job on my car in the morning taken the day off to do it lol 😆
@@justinjones1015how did it go? Do you have to take the mount off?
for the swirl and EGR delete/coolant removal do you need to reprogram the car? can I drive it as is?
Hi mate if yours is the later model m57 with the anti shudder valve like mine, it will 100% need mapping out, you will be ok to drive it to your mappers, but I wouldn’t advise any long journeys or leaving it as engine management light will be on 😎👍🏻
@330dfam thank you for letting me know. Do you know if the 2010 model has that? Also do you have any advice on where and how to do the remap?
If it’s a 2010 e series it will almost defiantly have the anti shudder valve, you can tell as it’s just in front of the egr valve on the inlet, basically if it looks like mine in the video it has it, any reputable mapper will be able to map it out with a generic map, I would advise a stage 1 as well as it shouldn’t cost any more, or take it to some where with a rolling road, a quick internet search should tell you who is closest to you to map it, would advise ringing them first, they may even be able to do the job for you aswell unless your doing it yourself 😎👍🏻
@@330dfamI appreciate your advice and time!
No problem any time, good luck hope you get the work done soon 😎👍🏻
lovely, any difference after deleting swirl flaps?, i bought a blanking kit for swirl flaps, & going to clean intake while its off, i didnt buy a egr delete kit yet but i think its been mapped off by previous owner as it doesnt open while reading data. can i remove vac hose and put a screw in just to be safe & is there is a difference in low end torque after blankin the swirl flaps?, car is m47 320d 2006 with a straight piped exhaust so no dpf anyways, will removing vaccuum pipe to egr make sure it doesnt get dirty again?
Hi mate mine is the 30d so more torque anyway, to be fair I didn’t notice any difference but I got mine mapped aswell just after, with regards to vacuumed lines if your 100% it’s been mapped out the won’t be any issues, I’d replace the egr with the delete kit if it has been mapped out just to get rid of the flap in the inlet, but if you want it to look 100% standard no harm in leaving it in 😎💪🏼
I had the 2003 330D estate with with boost box, about 240BHP ish, back in day, 2005. I loved it, it flew like a rocket ship. now all them years later as in today, I am now looking to grab another one, the same but a 2016 335 D Xdrive with all the toys on it, about 62000 on the clock with full BMW service history, and that 313BHP beast under the hood..
Hi mate mega cars standard however with a simple map they are crazy 😎

Thanks mate 💪
I have the late 2015 F34 33d xdrive & thinking of the stage 1 - As you have had it done, just a quick question... does the power change from eco pro to comfort to sport? (like it is stock)
Hi mate I asked this question the map is there through all the driving modes not just sport or sport plus 👍
Gearbox tune is what you need. I've just had my 335d stage 1 and stage 3 xhp. Running 385bhp and 795nm torque, nothing but an upgraded k&n panel filter. Runs around 4 seconds 0-60 🚀 These engines are capable as hell
Hi mate think you’re right, the Alpina gearbox map is subtle, good while everyday driving, but knot really what I wanted 😂👍🏻😎
thinking of getting my 325d manual stage 1 mapped but slightly worried as its my daily? what do you guys reckon? most people seem to be alright on these cars I think
Hi mate, so long as it’s a reputable mapper and you regularly service the car you definitely won’t t be disappointed, more power, petter economy, all my cars are mapped used regularly in town and motorways never had an issue because of the map 👍🏻😎
Looks well neat mate
Thanks mate, was t 100 about the fit had to fit it slightly forward so the sides don’t line up, think it looks better that way anyway, but the splitter does now catch when I reverse in the drive (only just) love the corner splitters tho😂😎👍🏻
Hi just stumbled upon this video and I think I need to try this. I’ve been using c220 scanner to monitor and erase codes to achieve a burn. I do like the look of your obd Bluetooth. Does this allow exhaust temperature viewing , and dpf regen status etc. and erasing of the codes on the fly ? Also one last question. I’ve been a little worried about trying this as the dpf being so close to the turbo. Does the foam backfill at all ? Because I can’t imagine it being friendly to the turbo assembly ? Cheers
Hi mate Iv got a few diagnostic tools but the bimmerlink using a Bluetooth OBD, is my quick go to, you can read erase codes, force regen etc, and yes you can set up a dashboard on your phone with any values the car reads, so customised to what your looking at, have a read it’s a good bit of kit for BMWs, if the cars not regenerating the dpf you may have something holding it off, think the main reasons are glow plug module, glow plugs, weather temp and at least half a tank of fuel then obviously above I think it’s 50mph, the stuff I used worked well, squirt in increments till the can is gone then drive, it won’t fix all but we’ll worth a try
Cheers. I’ll look at that tool. I don’t do enough long journeys, I’m on 140k and I really should be looking at other issues. I’ve solved the glow plugs and relay. Had a vacuum solenoid too. So I really only suspect maybe trace oil and short journeys. I get the pressure down to 7mbar on idle then I leave it. When I’ve had the car this long, I think I’ve gotten a little stuck in routine lol. I will try the same cleaner you have used. Good stuff
You know what I’d suggest then, check out some of the other vids on the e91, gutt the dpf, remove the egr and get it mapped, then you will never have that issue doing short journeys 🤷🏼♂️😂, sounds like your on the right track tho, how have you been cleaning the dpf so far?
So with my c220 plugged in I would check codes. And 480a lets me know I can get away with erasing and then look for exhaust gas temps, this usually allows me to complete a burn. If I’ve been lazy and get 481a I know I have to erase on the fly for a while until it doesn’t post the error then it will maintain the exhaust temps to regen. Obviously I can’t rely on that because 4667 will show up if I do it too much and have to chill out. The last 2 years I was ok as my son was in uni and I had the long journeys to sort it. But he’s finished so back to more short than. Long runs.
I noticed that bimmer link is the app and need a separate obd to plug in, I thought it was a obd tool and app in one. Do you recommend a Bluetooth obd to get ? I’m iPhone cheers
