Meyle HD is what i use on the e91 330d not had any issues, i use mayle or febi on all my cars and they always work well e bay or parts store shitters will be dead in a month mayle use bigger ball joints so take a good beating and make sure you tighten them up well get it tight then give a bit more

Thanks mate, the ones I got were Delphi, always thought they were a half decent make, but didn’t last on the e92, so bmw own on that one, let’s see how they last on the e91, if they fail I’ll take your advice 👍🏻😎💪🏼

I had this happen with lemforder droplinks only lasted about 3000 miles (drivers side started knocking).Replaced with Delphi ones cause that’s what my local motor factor had and they’ve been fine for over a year now

Hi mate no these were Delphi ones, GSF gold! Lasted only a few months, hopefully the bmw ones last longer 🤞😎🤷🏼‍♂️

Yh drive slower over speed bumps and avoid all potholes etc you can’t feel them in BMWs but those parts of the car still do. Just one big knock can ruin them joints, would be a lot more obvious in a car without an air suspension. There’s a road I go down in my van and a pothole looks tiny but it makes a big ass thud and knocks the whole suspension but driving a bmw, citreon or merc you wouldn’t feel it

😂your probably right there, Iv noticed a pothole on the corner down the road from mine, it’s the most common route we both take and it’s in the middle of the rd so drivers side, which is the issue, might get out there with some cold lay tarmac late night and see if the issue goes away😂😂😎👍🏻

I have 2 e90's. First one a 330d on 323k miles which ive owned since it was on 120k and only changed the drop links once in that time. My 2nd car is a 335d which ive only done 8k miles since owning and ive changed the drop links twice already, the last time i used main dealer ones and there starting to knock ever so slightly again already after about 2 or 3 months. I dont get it and the only thing i can think of is something else is making them go, perhaps adding more stress on them if something else is worn out , otherwise i dont know 🤷‍♂️ it doesnt make sense to me

I’d say something else is worn normally, but we’ve replaced all 20+ control arms already on the e 92😂, anti roll bat bushes are good as-well, if the factory drop links go this time, I’ll strip and check the whole front end, never had this issue on previous models! The e both been changed at the same time so I’ll see which one fails first 😎👍🏻
