I have the same issue mate. Driver side rear footwell in a 2013 1 series. Not the door seals either as mine are bone dry even in heavy rainfall

I had a F31 330D Xdrive - I kept having damp mats in the front passenger footwell. I replaced the seals around the door thinking it was this but it wasn’t. Anyways I tried the method you did “put water down to see if it comes through” and nothing was obvious? I’m pretty certain it’s the vapour barrier ! It’s intermittent - poor design really whatever it is

Hi mate, I’m certain it’s the vapour barrier, didn’t take the door cards of tho🤦🏼‍♂️, it’s a new problem so was hoping it would show itself with a good watering😂, I’ll get to the bottom of it and do an update soon💪🏼😎👍🏻

I've read on another video something about a gasket seal under the bonnet? I am terrible with cars but have the exact same issue, so bad with all this recent rainfall as well haha

My 330D has had the windows come down of thier own accord when left overnight, happened 3 times in the last 5 years, just random. I do believe their is a way with the keyfob to open the windows remotely and I wonder if it's an accidental kep press?

Hi mate doubt it was that as the keys were in a box well away from the car, and all windows were up when I picked it up, seats and under rear seat is bone dry 🤷🏼‍♂️

Shocking mate hopefully someone will have had the same issue ..

@@330dfam read something in another video about a 'gasket seal' and it causes a blockage of water that can accumulate in the rear of the car. I need an answer to this issue as well because I have the same problem

Most common cause is the vapour barrier mate, unfortunately that’s not the issue on mine🤦🏼‍♂️,

​@330dfam I checked the door dry as the Sahara, but I can see wet and dampness coming from the drivers footwell and brake pedal , hope you get it sorted pall.

That’s the same as mine, bulkhead sound deadening is wet under the brake booster and wiring grommet next to it, next dry full day I’ll pinpoint it 💪🏼

Do f30 have the blanking plug for where the LHD rack goes through the bulkhead like the F10 cause the f10 leak a lot in like that too

Off the top of my head? I know the 5 series suffer from this in the uk, but my leak is on the drivers side uk spec, passenger side I’d dry as a bone 😎👍🏻

@@330dfam on my F10 the whole interior in the back was like a paddling pool and it was the bung on the bulkhead . Don’t even know if f30 even have a bung there anyway was just a thought what was weird with my was the passenger footwell carpet was dry but both backs soaked then when I removed carpet ya I realised why there was like a channel that let it run under the carpet straight into the back 😂

I wonder if the drainage channels are all blocked mate?

Hi mate there all ok in the doors as water poured out, of both with the doors open and pouring water over the seals etc, might need to in the scuttle panel closer but there’s doesn’t appear to be any leaves etc 😎👍🏻

It will be your windscreen. Put a hand inside and one outside and see if there is movement. Just had exact thing in an Audi. The water comes down behind dash and in behind carpet and gets through to the back. Mine was original screen as well. Had the glass taken out sealed and back in and water stopped instantly. Good luck.
