This transcends typical transcriptions. This is a musical adaptation in which I do not feel the loss of not having the orchestra performing it. It captures the essence of what the composer emotionally intended. The flow, timing, the dynamic phrasing, the arpeggios, and the use of the pedal. It is a wonderfully artistic achievement. Thank you for this artistic effort.

Mr Slava, your performance is the best for this Ravel piece. In fact, your waltz makes me want to start dancing. It's a pity Ravel couldn't let Nijinsky hear you play it... From what I heard on youtube, when other pianists play this piece, it often doesn't sound like a waltz... I'd rather give them the name 'not La Valse.' Is the waltz and its triple time rhythm not as easy as it sounds? Is it a matter of talent or of the education received? This piece as a waltz seems to me a high hurdle for pianists. Is that not so?
