The camera effect at 19:31, great touch. Amazing performance of one of my favourite piano concertos, bravo.

This is sheer brilliance played with authority and total command. The trumpet is well integrated into this rare jewel as well. The recorded sound is as good as it gets Bravo to all of the forces here and thanks for sharing.

One of the concerts I’m going to in April features this concerto. I didn’t know what to expect, now I do - that the piano part won’t get better than this.

quite possibly the best recording after shostakovich himself

this was fantastic . This concerto is no small thing to play, and the orchestra was spotless. The only slight detail that bothered me, and bothered is too strong a word , regards the miking. Perhaps the piano was a tad too much at the forefront . Some soft passages still came out in a somewhat "mf" volume. This prevented a perfect blend of orchestra and piano. But i'm just picking at subatomic details . .. and maybe it's just me ;p. .. or my headset.. or.. or...
