Born in a small town in Ontario, Canada. Currently living in Toronto.

I'm into outdoor adventures of all sorts - Camping, Whitewater Canoeing, Climbing, Trail Running, Bushcraft

I could never explore such a barren and secluded place, I would be too scared of simply being lost and with no way out

I looked it up and you can eat triggerfish raw. Too much coconut water cwill make you sick, way too much can be dangerous. I wish it had rained because I wanted to see how you would do water catchment!

I liked this. Watched the entire thing. Would love to try it myself. Ideally I'd bring a book of pacific island flora to help me navigate the plants.

raw, unwashed eggs, can last weeks (almost a month) out on the counter! once you wash them, their protective coating gets washed away and the eggs will go bad. We never refrigerate our chickens' eggs!

Here in Portugal we eat snails in the summer. You wash them in running water, then put them inside a boiling Pan with water for 10 minutes. After that you cook them for about 10 minutes in low heatt. Then you want to add salt, a bouillon chicken cube, crushed garlic with the bark, chopped onion, oregano leaves, Bay leaf. Increase the heat, as the water start to boil keep that way for 5 minutes. Just keep taking out the foam it gets. Know you can eat this with beer so good!

Us humans are capable of dry fasting for over a week. I'm certainly not saying it would be fun, or entertaining to record, but it's peace of mind if you find yourself up shit creek in a survival situation without water. Google will tell you 3 days is the limit for no food and no water and then you die, but I have done 72 hours without issue. Our bodies create water from adipose tissue and you're still peeing every day even without drinking anything. Great adventure mate, thanks for sharing. Better than Cast Away, although I think that blood could have made a decent face out of a coconut as a friend.

Ok. The real deal: find a deserted island close to the mainland and make sure it has coconut trees. After 5 minutes of seeing this guy drinking coconut milk/water like he wanted to deplete the whole water source in 2 hours, I was thinking there's hope. After ten minutes he was still drinking coconut milk... There should be some hope....After almost 20 minutes he was still drinking coconut milk and speak only about coconuts. I immediately stopped watching this nonsense wannabe "survivor". His muscles didn't help him at all to climb 1 meter from the ground. Advise: coconut milk is laxative. Drinking or having excess coconut milk may lead to severe gas formation and diarrhoea. I can imagine what happened next.
