COLDEST Night of the Year -vs- WARMEST Sleeping Bag in the World

Went out in the snow to test a new piece of equipment, the world's warmest sleeping bag from Pajak Sport.
I put new gear to the test in a new area and embrace the cold January weather

i find it incredibly satisfying to be in the blistering cold but being warm and protected from it, like when you jump out of the shower when you’re sick, the air and everything is freezing cold but the second you dive under that blanket and start building body heat it’s sooooo satisfying

That was cool that you showed a “fan” at the end recognizing you. More nice when you introduced yourself and shook his hand. That’s class. Well done. I always think you are nuts camping with no tent…but that’s because I would be chicken to do the same. If there is a formula for this type of channel it seems to be 25% scenery, 25% firewood cutting, 25% cooking show, and 25% chitchat and sleeping. Yours is great because you do all of those well, and your big playful personality is always worth watching. The maple syrup on everything is weird though….lol, and I am a fellow Canadian. Keep up the good work.

You're bringing back memories of the many frosty winters we spent during our time in Yukon. My hubby ran his dog team in the first ever Yukon Quest. Though not as well known, it's a more difficult race than the more familiar Iditarod. One of his favorite nights was spent on top of a mountain, windy with a temperature of -55C. He had no tent but put his sleeping bag on top of a caribou hide and was quite warm. Thanks for not quitting during the winter months. We'd miss your fun videos if we had to wait until spring.

You should invest in a Warn bumper hitch winch set up so you can use it off the front and rear of your truck. Just add a 2” receiver under the front bumper and wire 1 or 2 gauge to quick connect plugs. The second tree you cut (at the second campsite 18:45) that almost took your face off, was a textbook ‘barber chair’ break. Kills more loggers than jealous husbands 😎

About the best video of this nature I have seen. Still does not make me want to camp out in the cold but the videos, and especially this one, are fun to watch. Thanks.

I love watching your videos as bed time stories. The beauty of the woods, snapping fires and your cheeky comments are great. You might try whole delcotta squash instead of butternut. You can eat the skin. You might like fig jam as someone else suggested. Thanks for all your videos!

How's it going Xander, watched all your videos and love every single one of them. I really appreciate all the effort you put into your videos and I have learned a lot not just about surviving in the wild but learning to love and appreciate nature and freedom. I was born and raised on a beautiful small tropical island called Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands and have since moved to Seattle, WA here in the United States in 2005 when I was 11 years old. Years later and I have been depressed and still struggle with Big City Living with all the craziness going on in the world, but your videos remind me of the happiness and love for being outdoors and connecting with nature as I did when I was a little boy. Thanks A lot Xander and its all starting to make sense now lol I know I might sound a little crazy, but Nature Really does help heal the mind.

Man, you always make the best-looking food, Xander! I live in central Kentucky, and last week, it was super cold here, too. We had low temps between -5 and -10F. High temps in the low teens, with more than 6 inches of snow. I can't imagine camping out in those temps! You're a beast, bro 💪🥶

I once got to ride with some pro snowmobile riders in deep snow.. that day I learned that there is no such thing as completely stuck. There is always some way to dig your vehicle out of sticky situation ^^. It's nice to have that confidence. Of course it might need more digging if it's badly stuck but there is always a way out.

that's really cool with the sleeping bag. and you seem really good at being out in the wild. I do think it's funny how you talk up -20 degrees weather because out where I live (Minnesota prairie) that can just be the norm for all of December. Still blisteringly cold tho. Props. (edit. just checked the units. I was talking about Fahrenheit not Celsius. them's chump numbers.)
