Overnight in a Cabin on a VERY Sharp Ridge
eng subs available
Hey! Welcome to a new video!
In this episode I'm exploring a very remote part of Western Alps (more precisely, Valpelline in Valle D'Aosta region) to climb a sharp ridge and reach a very solitary cabin: Bivacco Pasqualetti (3290m)
I had this adventure in mind for quite a long time and finally I made it happen!
the route to the bivak is not easy. almost 2000m D+ and a IV grade ridge with a few passages of V.

can you please recommend a few circular hikes thats doable in late may this year? I love mountain photography and do mountain trailrunning, but not so good with snow!
Blows my mind to even think how that cabin must have been constructed !

It was more logical to put signs at the bottom of the mountain, that it is not recommended to climb up this mountain, because Mr. Pasqualetti already lost his life here.

Bruno, you are my inspiration! I am an old lady now but used to climb in the Engadine, Switzerland. I follow your beautiful photography and all the memories of my youth come back to me. I now live a more relaxed life by the sea in Greece, although my home is in California, but my most wonderful memories were my climbing experiences away from the crowds and noise, where I could challenge myself. Thank you!

The cinematography of this is just stunning. Thank you for bringing those of us who will never be able to do this there to that beautiful place.
The cinematography of this video is AWESOME. I will never ever have the physique to visit such cabin or even climb to the sharp ridge in my life but you just give us a glimpse of the amazing view and the reward from completing such climb. Kudos to you and Marco!
Such great photography. The ridge looked horrendous. Even in my youth it would have been beyond me. Thank you for the beautiful film and commentary.
I have stopped this kind of alpinism and switched to trail running when I became a father. It was the right decision for me, but because I am not in this kind of terrain anymore, I really really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you.

What a great adventure Bruno. Incredible story telling, spectacular views and sceneries that feel like heaven. This is better than any content on Netflix. I am glad I get to watch your content because I feel like I’m with you in this adventure. That’s the beauty of your film making skills. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I found your channel while browsing my phone, later that day I wanted to finish this video on my big 4k television. Your journeys are meant for the big screen
As someone who resides in the Eastern portion of the United States with all it's rainfall, seeing mountain peaks that are so little weather-worn is an incredible sight.
I come from Berlin, but till I was 13 my family and I used to go to nothern italy almost every year. We spend a lot of time hiking in the alps, but since then I haven't been there. Your videos let me remember all the good memories of the peaks and cabins!
Non ci sono parole... il silenzio della montagna e la voce delle tue immagini... straordinario... grazie di averci portato in paradiso!
Mind blowing location! I would probably fall on my way out the door, sort of like "watch that first step"....plunk! Being a 63 yr old mom, not sure if this is ever something I would want to try out, so a big thank you for taking us along on this amazing journey!
Thanks for taking me on your adventure, fantastic job! It’s a blessing to be able to see this place through your lens and your narration:)
Finally another adventure to enjoy! Thank you Bruno 🥳
Bruno, this is one of the most amazing climbing adventures I've ever watched and was floored by those rock crags you climbed up and over to get to your destination cabin in the sky. Thank you for sharing it with such outstanding videography. My legs still hurt from just watching this, LOL! I'm sure yours probably did too.
Im terrified of heights but I couldnt stop watching and needed to see you reach the destination. I think its your calm voice makes it easy.
watching this before bed late night just hits different!
That was such a great video I just happened to stumble upon. Your camera work, your calm story telling, and the content is just great man! For not having a lot of rock climbing experience, you handled that ridge perfectly. Well done. Cheers from Colorado, USA!

I've traveled half the world and had some beautiful and wonderful adventures in my life too, but nothing as exciting as yours. Don't think I'll ever dare climb those spiky rocky mountains to get to that cozy cabin. Glad you both made it out alive, so you are able to share your fantastic experiences with us. Bravo!
Wow Bruno, that was some adventure - yes unique, perhaps the most dangerous climb you will take. That knife edge was scary. The rock can be rotten and give way unexpectantly. We are glad it did not. Be safe. Have fun. And come back for more. Gracias a Dios.
11:40 it looked like the boulder was the only thing on earth and it was suspended in nothingness. Truly amazing!
This is your best to date. Thank you for creating it and sharing with us.
Wow, what a wonderful place high in the mountains. The light and the conditions at the other morning are so amazing.
Man your videos are phenomenal. The combination of beautiful shots and storytelling is spot on!
That footage at 11:30 is just amazing with the fog and the wide angle lens making it look so bottomless.
Hats off to whomever carried all that material up there to build the cabin.
I was so engrossed by the photography and the climb. It looked so dangerous that climb, but I continued to watch. Looking forward to more this year.
To be young and have capability to do that amazing way to enjoy nature its soooo amazing
I had goosebumps watching this video. Seriously no words for this video. I am speechless. This shows the curiosity, power and thirst for adventure and thrill of humans. Hats off!
Absolutely amazing, as usual Bruno. Have been watching your films for years now, and they never cease to amaze me, and get better all the time. Your films inspired me to visit the Dolomites for the first time, two years ago to celebrate my 60th birthday. I have no doubt you inspire many others. Look forward enormously to your next adventure.

People used to do things, now People "mainly with money" just go places. Tech is to blame. People built stone hinge... probably... this is simple someone with money paid someone without to build a cabin, ppl pay ppl to take them up everest those ppl hike up there daily, but you only ever hear of the billionaire who made it to the top.
