Tony's Fluid Art Creations
Tony's Fluid Art Creations
I’m Tony, a paint pouring artist from Regina, Canada, and I knew I needed to give pouring a try myself after I found it. After my very first pour I was hooked and I really enjoy every part of the process.
I’ve discovered that I really enjoy the colour purple and it seems to make its way into a lot of my acrylic pours. Lol On my channel, I am experimenting with a lot of different acrylic pouring techniques like swipes, flip cups, puddle pours, ring pours and hopefully so many more.
If you’d like to learn how I create my acrylic pour paintings please follow along by liking and subscribing to the channel!
A fun fact about me is that I never liked art when I was younger, but have found that it has really helped me as an adult. I pour in part for my mental health, it helps to keep me grounded.
I’m so happy that I found this art form, and I’m happy you’re here with me!

Parabéns estou iniciando a arte e vc me inporou cm suas técnicas gratidão 🙏🏻
My pleasure! I am happy to hear you've started and I'm happy to share what I know! :)
Tony you dropped the wrecking swipe hammer on this one. An elegant and delicate touch to this one.
@@docgillygun9531 Thanks Doc, that made smile and apparently I’m doing some of this right now and then! 😉 Thanks for watching!
You do absolutely beautiful work. Question about the cell activator. You said 4-5 drops of Penetrol. How much paint and floetrol was mixed to use 4-5 drops? I realize it's 2pt to 1 pt. Is it 4-5 drops in 3oz, 6 oz ..... Looking forward to watching more videos.
@@JoanSmith-xr8bo Thanks Joan! 😊 I’ll try to explain as best I can. So before I started to use Aussie floetrol as my cell activator, I used a less expensive CA that only needed some floetrol in your paint (1oz would have been lots) and then adding the 4 or 5 drops of penetrol to my titanium white CA which was 2:1 paint and floetrol. The penetrol additive helped to make the cells. Really, the penetrol was only used to react with what little floetrol in each paint color. Does that make sense? Thanks for watching by the way! 🙂
That was mesmerizing to watch! Beautiful! I have to remember to take my time when I am swiping with cell activator.
@@cherishthemessypainter That’s very nice of you, thanks for the kind words! Yes, I catch myself going a little too quickly now and then too! Thanks for watching! 😊

Thanks Jan, I appreciate it! Have a great weekend! :)
Gorgeous piece!!! Beautiful colors!🧡🤎🖤
Thank yo so much, Linda! I'm glad you like it! :)
I didn't see you add color. where did the color come from in the final piece?
@@danrieber7318 Hi Dan! The color starts to happen once the paint begins to dry. The Amsterdam pearlescent paint mixes white, but dries the color used out of the tube, so you’ve really got to keep track of it when you pour it. So, when wet, it’s white, and as it dries the color pops out!
I am working on a similar series. yours looks awesome 🧡💛💚❤
Thanks Magi! I really love metallics, I think they look really sharp over solid colors. Thanks for watching! :)

@@sandybruderer2084 Thanks Sandy, that’s very nice of you. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed the video!
What is you ratio for mixing paints
@@sandragoldberg9916 Hi Sandra! I you about 30g paint to 90g pouring medium and floetrol. I mix my medium 50/50 as well. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Love the metallics! Beautiful swipes to make the perfect composition! Don’t like wrecking with skewer sticks as it left indentations after the painting dried☹️ I like the rounded embossing sticks. Love from rainy NB on the east coast!
@@brendataylor5928 thanks so much, Brenda I appreciate you watching! 🤍

Thanks Chrissie! Do you paint as well? I appreciate you watching! :)
so nice ❤❤❤
@@K.ART_vlog Thank you so much!! 😊
This is really beautiful,I just loved how you wrecked this one the pattern was really pretty,I probably would’ve done as many swipes because you lost that beautiful pattern, but in saying that the end result was amazing,I have never used those paints before you can’t get them in Australia,I love using a little tool that has a tiny metal ball tip on one end of it,I think it’s actually for your nails but it works really well because it gives great texture and it doesn’t touch the bottom of the canvas,I also love to use a marble sometimes, etc
@@CherylCampbell-fx1yb This is great feedback Cheryl, thank you! Yes I can get caught up in the swipes that’s for sure, and I was really happy with the overall turnout of the piece! Thanks for watching!
I liked what you did in the wrecking and probably wouldn't have swiped. Saying that though, the result was worth it in the end. Turned out real nice. I wreck with my finger if I want control, a marble if I want it more random.
@@hawkpaul8735 Thanks Paul! I’ve never used my finger, but that sounds like fun! Thanks for watching!
Super pretty. Maybe one less swipe? You lost your wreck pattern. Your swipe technique is A+😊
@@KelliSmith-mj5hc Thanks Kelli! I always get caught up in how pretty the swipes are and keep going with more lol Thanks for watching and the kind words! 🤍
It’s beautiful. ❤
Thank you, Patti! I hope you enjoyed the video! :)
@@tonysfluidart yes I did! Hope your voice is doing better. Even though it wasn’t too noticeable in the video.

Thanks Vanessa! I hope you like it, and thanks for stopping by to watch, I appreciate the kind words too. 😃
Ok, I've watched and gotta tell ya, I really get the therapeutic element, you're taking your time gently moving the paints and seeing what you want to see simultaneously! Final results are wonderful. Kudos...such a lovely piece! And btw, the gold stole the show, lol
@@Vanessanealacrylicart That's so nice of you, thanks Vanessa! I was really happy overall with how it all turned out, and wrecking the color was just a bonus for me. Thanks again, and thanks for being here!
Genial, hoy lo haré. Cariños
@@gracielaformoso3052 Thank you so much!!
Could u have used a blow dryer to salvage the paint?
That's a great idea, but I haven't worked enough with a blowdryer to have tried. It may have some out even more muddy afterward. lol
QUÉ COLORES SON Y CÓMO LOS PREPARÓ?
They are mixed with 50% pouring medium and 50% North American floetrol. I think the colors are copper, gold, pewter, and some silver. Thanks for watching.
NO MENCIONA LOS COLORES
They were hidden below in the description- Colours Used Pearl Blue Pearl Blue Pearl White Pearl Violet Thanks for watching! :)
This turned out great! Fionna is a master at swipes. I think you did her justice. Cory is more of a fan of Crimson and I'm (Adrian) a fan of red.
@@ArtsReallyCool123 I love the feedback thank you! And yes, Fiona is so great at what she does. I appreciate you watching as well. 🙂
That design is beautiful, the colors are very sharp.
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Love that purple red and blue combo. In my own art I would have done another swipe but I love the lacing over my colors. Not much summer weather in the east either. It was 35C plus humidity the first week of summer them rain and low 20s and windy since. Love from NB!
Thanks Brenda, I appreciate the feedback. And yes, our weather has been opposite from last year, I think that’s why it’s throwing us off 😅
I like it I think if you aded white between the layers it would of spoiled the colour combo
Thanks for watching Magi! Yes, that definitely would have made a different end result. I needed to think through how to keep it a little more bright. Next time I guess!
@@tonysfluidart I thought of gold through the blues and maroon/pink ...but then I like the matallics in my colourwork ..if it was just blues I would go white but with that pinkie colour I'd go gold/silver .. and some work doesnt need to be bright bright.. it is bright with colour and not dull ... I love your creations ... they inspire me
@@MagiMayet That’s so kind of you, and I appreciate the feedback! 😊
The color palette is beautiful. You rocked the swipe. I'm just getting successful at it.😊 You are taking your work, to a new level.
That’s so nice of you, thanks Kelli! I felt there are things I could do better next time, but I will definitely take the compliment. 😊
Very cool Tony! You certainly have a talent in tilting! Thanks for the shout out 😊
Fiona! Thank you so much, I appreciate you stopping by to watch. 🙂 Yes, I seem to rely on my tilts a little too often. One day I’ll learn to mix more paint than I need. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love it.
