@michaelstrahl My husband and I actually our own channel and we have the video on making the mister system. It's JK Feather Ranch and we posted it a little bit ago. The mystery system is temperature triggered so as soon as it hits 95 degrees the system turns on so you don't have to worry about not being home if the temperature sudden spikes and you don't have to worry about overwatering since as soon as it's cool enough the system shuts off.

Your kids jumping up onto the trailer during loading didn't help matters. Also, a solid panel works better to move hogs. As others have stated position the trailer prior to loading and feed inside the trailer for a week or so. Also, the wooden ramp spooked the animals. Hogs don't like a change of footing to walk on. I'd just have them jump up into the trailer from the dirt alley.
@michaelstrahl5 ай бұрын
I really appreciate the feedback. I agree I need a better plan for the kids. I want them included but they can’t make things more difficult on the load. Solid panels are a must this year. That’s been the biggest feedback I’ve received. Feeding in the trailer still worries me. I’m not sure my trailer can handle it. Hopefully I can address some metal issues I have before the next load. The wood ramp didn’t help. I agree with you. The year before they struggle to get in the trailer. It wasn’t mine and it sat hire though. All good stuff! Thanks again for the help!

I think I'd have to have the metal come closer to the ground because my goats would stick there head in there and lift up the whole shelter, and I only have Nigerian.
The metal is roofing that Menards sells. I do know there are different gauges available though. The shelter does a pretty good job of staying in place. I just had to fix the weak points. Time will tell as they get bigger if it stronger this year or not. 🤞🏻
I need this for my goats. I'd want to leave both sides open though, but I'm sure it would work just as well.I have a permanent shelter and I'm ready for a change. I still want a shelter to separate the bucks, for birthing, and for milking, but want to move to portable shelters like this. I just hope they'd be tough enough to withstand goats ripping them apart.
I think you could easily adapt this to work for other livestock as you mentioned. That’s what I love about KZread. You can take an idea and say hey I could probably make this work for me and just change this one thing!
So cute! Funny that the full size bird is the same size as the chicks
That is pretty crazy! It’s fun watching all the different animals interact with each other out here sometimes.
Haha nice
My 21 year old thanked me the other day for having her help around the farm. She learned to drive the tractor. Now she can drive stick shifts , forklifts, ships 🚢, ect. All the guys are amazed at how she can drive these machines. It has really given her the knowledge to do many other things. Keep up the great work with your daughter - the sky is the the limit
Thank you for sharing! That’s amazing! I appreciate the support and kind words. One of my biggest fears is not preparing my kids properly to survive in the world on their own one day. Hopefully I’m on the right track! 🙏🏻
It took you over an hour?? Are you stupid or what??
Hi, What is the update frequency of the chart
Hey! I didn’t know the answer but the website has a good bit of info on it. Here’s a link I was able to find. Hopefully that helps! mocreo.com/doc/manual/support/measure/how-often-is-the-sensor-measured-Z.html
You did the right thing, bunny moms don't abandon their young cuz they were touched.
I was wondering that exact thing but figured it was worth the chance. I figured since there were still 3 others in the nest it would be ok.
great videos like the pig shelter build thats my next project
Much appreciated! The shelter has helped out a ton. Next project is a bulk feeder for them. 😉
Perfect for my needs. Thanks for the post
Absolutely! Thanks for checking it out. 😁
Thanks for posting the video it game me a lot of good ideas!
Hey thanks for watching and happy I could help! 😁
@@michaelstrahlwhere do you get pipe bender. Great video. Thanks.
Hey sorry I just saw the comment you left. Here’s a link to the site I bought mine from. www.buildmyowngreenhouse.com/catalog/hoop-bending-tools/
How is the pig shelter holding up
It did great until the last month before processing. It’s a great shelter and I’ve got an easy fix for the problem I had. I’m getting ready to put a video out this week going over this!
Anyone build this near MI? Just wondering how it does in colder winter climate. I have Kunes and this seems nice in simple but want to make sure they stay warm.
I’m in Indiana so not much further south than you. I only run from April thru September right now. I’ve always just thrown straw down when it’s cold and they seemed to be fine.
Dose she always argue
Yep anytime there’s food around. 🙄
Meeks is the best dog
That’s so cute
That is so cool and crazy
Bought the plans. I have 4 of these built and work great. these are so easy to move that the eye hooks and chain is overkill
That’s awesome! I plan to build a second one this year as well. It’s been a great shelter. You are right the chain is not need but is handy on the muddy days. My wife prefers the chain as well. 😉
Il buy the plans
Awesome! They really are a good set of plans. Good luck on your build.
As a kitchen manager in a restaurant, I thank you for your service, sir. I could not do my job without you doing yours.
Hey I appreciate that! Seriously that means a lot. Thank you for what you do as well. Most people have no clue what effort goes into running a kitchen at a restaurant. I had some experience with that industry when I was young. It can be stressful!
Thank you for being a farmer. You make modern civilization possible.
Oh wow thanks for that! I’m one very small piece to that whole puzzle but I’m certainly proud to be a part of it
Do you have blue prints on this? Maby another well indepth derail about the system. And what were the water heads? Where can you find them?
The only other Video I have is a short of the project when we did it. I’ll leave a link here for that. It’s not in depth but does show part of the install we did. kzread.infoEid5JJVlzvU?si=ymGpkHbPo4GvFc15 If you have any specific question I can answer I’ll give it a shot. Unfortunately everyone’s situation will be different. Your frost line will likely be different than mine. How far you run your water line and your water pressure will determine your water line size. I’m not a professional by any means but I usually know enough to be dangerous on projects like these.
What the heck?? ❤ Didnt even know these things existed😱❣️
Hey glad I could help! Haha! I was in the same boat a few years ago & said the same thing then. Then it took me a couple years to actually pull the trigger. So glad I did though!
I just checked their website, .. and there's even dealers near me in Ontario Canada! WootWoot!
See there ya go! I’m sure you will need the taller version for your application. I mean you frost line is probably like 20 feet right? 🤣
@@michaelstrahl 🤣🤣🤣🤪 Some winters, I'm shocked it isnt🤭
Every time we get one of these dang polar vortex’s and the Arctic temps I bad mouth y’all. 🤣 Not sure how but I know it’s your fault!
