Pigs are graduating the training pen! Here's how I setup hot wire fencing & move pigs on pasture

Ойын-сауық

It's time to move the pigs from their training pen. The training pen is 32'x32' with a hot wire on 2 sides so that they can become familiar with the wire and learn to respect it. The goal was to move them in 10 days but I didn't end up getting them moved until 12 days. I made the decision to go straight to hot wire only and not do another training pen. This took me around 40 minutes this time to setup and move them all by myself. Going forward I should be able to complete this task in under 30 minutes. Thanks for watching!

Enjoying your videos. I like seeing small channels more than I do watching million-subscriber channels. Once they get that large they have all the money in the world to do whatever they want and I just can't relate to them. Anyway.

Hey I appreciate that! We all have to start somewhere. I don’t if I’ll ever get that big. Seems like a lot of headache once you get to that size. I’d just like to get to a point that I can quit my full time career and make my living at home with the multiple income streams I’m trying to currently build. KZread is just one of those endeavors. I really enjoy being able to put something in a video with the hopes that someone can learn a little something or hell even learn maybe what not to do as well. 😁

Pro editor and new subscriber. I think talk a little slower in the video, don't edit it as tightly.

Thanks for the feedback. Editing is not my strong suit but I’m learning. I’ll work on it! What editing software you recommend? I’m still using iMovie since it’s free. I’ve considered getting Final Cut. I’m an all apple device user so I figured that made the most sense. Any thoughts? Thanks for the support!

@@michaelstrahl strangely enough I've never used iMovie. I think if you're comfortable with it, it's fine. I love final cut pro 7, I've been using it for many years. But I've had the modernize and I'm using final cut pro x. It's a major learning process and I'm struggling because it's such a large change. It seems easy to work with the audio though. It definitely has a lot of possibilities. You can isolate a voice from background noise. It is pretty awesome if you're in a noisy room or outside with wind. I'm actually not a fan of Adobe premiere especially on earlier versions. it's really hard to deal with audio.

Ok that’s good to know. I feel pretty limited with iMovie. It’s what I had so I just went with it. I don’t know how advanced I want to be but I don’t want the software to be what limits me. I’m trying to figure out how everyone does the slide overlays on screen. For example if I wanted to do a cost break down while I’m talking about a project. iMovie has been great to get started but I feel like there are some efficiencies I’m missing out on because of its beginner oriented nature. I think Final Cut is probably the investment I need to make in the future.

@@michaelstrahl maybe you'd have an easier time learning it. It's just so tough for me because I know the previous version so well. There's definitely a lot of KZread videos out there that help with final cut pro x. I don't think I've done graphics in it at all. I will have to check it out. We usually make graphics in Photoshop and bring them in FCPx.

I'm watching your Farmers market video. Come to the conclusion you just talk fast. I think you should try to talk slower for your videos. I would have liked to have seen closeups of the other booths. Ever watch Just a few acres? I found your channel b/c Pete stopped raising pigs. He does a great job with his videos. If you watch the really early ones, you see his improvement.
