Zivli fuel framework: I would keep highlighting this. I was told for a year, don't eat carbs and though.ok I won't eat carbs. Than I got a diet calculator and realized all foods broke down into , fat, carb and protein. Than I had more questions than ever! If broccoli is 70% carbs why not eat a potato? Some of the most " obvious" stuff is really not that obvious.

My doctor has never checked my insulin in decades, only focus is TC and LDL, his answer statins, err. SO I checked my insulin and lab reported 1.9,I know it's below normal, should I be concerned, and way do american/Canada doctors not check this?

I love that you're breaking down Weight Watchers because a lot of their program seems ridiculous to me. I've been doing Weight Watchers with my wife for a couple of months but I do not understand why my half of avocado is for daily points and yet many other foods that are metabolically more impactful in terms of weight gain are 0 Point Foods. I have opted to put my avocado on my taco bowls along with my black olives which also cost ww points and I feel Fuller and I'm actually losing weight and maintaining muscle

Fantastic presentation. I couldn’t stand WW when I went years ago. They promoted defaulting to processed food because that was something I could count points on. I knew it wasn’t right. I was poisoned by about 5 rounds of fluroquinalone antibiotics and I think that started my trip to pre-diabetes. I’m getting a handle on it only thanks to KZread creators like yourself. There is a lot of crap on KZread but people like you are saving me from the same destination of my extended family. I’m so grateful and I am down 26 pounds!! OMAD IF, and keto or close to it. Using a CGM has been a game changer.

How do we meet our protein goals if fasting 20-23 hours a day eating one meal a day? I’m teetering on diabetes but with a CGM I’m staying in check. 5.7-5.9 HgbA1C.
5’4.5”= 125 g of protein! I needed this because I am down to OMAD and I’m not getting in enough protein. I’ve lost 26 lbs but need to add exercise.

about reducing the atrificial sweeteners, there is a topic for that (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9094871/). The artificial sweeteners doesn't affect the weight loose. BUT with artificial sweeteners is more likely you will not have some cheat meals with added sugar

Dejar Doctor, im seeking help for my mom. She is 65yo and always skinny. She got high blood pressure high LDL and triglicerdies and diabetes. She went on keto diet to avoid taking pills and to try to heal but the problem is she loses weight. Now she is rather bonos and skin. She is 165cm tall and weight 53kg. Its like she isnt used to eat more. She tries to keep her glucose below 120.

So for three day water fasts, does that mean no coffee (I’m assuming) and only electrolytes in the water? Is there anything at all you’re doing other than water with electrolytes?
