Real mermaids are insulted by you people calling yourselves real trust me I know I am one did you know it takes 2-3 hours for our tails to form in fresh or salt water? Or longer sometimes!

Wicked, thanks heaps for sharing. I seen that bag on their website is sold out at the moment so your video really helped me understand what would fit in the bag. What wouldn't and if I really need it right now which I don't so I can save up and wait until it's in the stock and get the bag I really want if I progress with getting more mono fins and tails. I really love your content.
Sorry for the late response, I've been taking it easy on social media recently. Just so you know there have been mixed results on this bag. Mine has still held up after having it now for 3 years and using it all the time, but there have been some complaints about the zipper breaking so just something to be aware of!
I would love to see a new version of this with tails like the Fish Fin, Mahina, Linden and Elite monofins added.
I do have the fish fin (and lots of thoughts on it) but I don't have a mahina anymore or an elite. I can see if I can borrow some from my local pod and do an updated version of this in the future!
Im still working on my mersona, but I know DEFINITELY shes going to have a green and orange tail *sort of like a Salmon* and I know this was posted a long time ago but I really appreciate the videos youve posted, theyve taught me alot 🖤 Thank you so much

You put this together so beautifully. I've always loved mermaids but haven't swum (in any form) since I left my childhood swim team. Twelve years, a ton of parental abuse and a C-PTSD diagnosis later, I've found myself on the outer spectators' ring of the mermaiding community. So many beautiful women (most of whom are a lot skinnier than me) in these equally beautiful tails... Honestly I'd love to take up mermaiding, even if it's only a personal hobby, but something's just holding me back. Maybe it's my body-image issues, maybe some repressed memory regarding my abusive mother... I don't know what it is or if it's something I can overcome, but watching this makes me feel a little better about myself. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us. 🧜♀

i think she needs a little more practice making tails before she starts selling them. so she can perfect them. there was a lot of mistakes, I would of cried if I got this tail after spending money on it.
I know she took a lot of what I had to say to heart so I believe she's worked on making the tails she makes these days better than before!
I like how smooth and even your dolphin kick technique is! It inspires me to get practicing

You're welcome. I'm glad you found the review helpful! I don't believe the luna will fit in the fantsea tail. I tried lining up the fin ontop of my whimsy tail for the 1 and it doesn't line up correctly to fit right.

It won't be coming unfortunately. The tail is too short of me and I haven't been able to find someone locally to help add some height to the tail to make it swimable. :(
awesome! how do you film underwater?
I use a GoPro in a waterproof case! I know some mers use other non GoPro branded cameras or even phones so just as long as you have case to keep it safe you can film!
My merson Nerina came from the my fantasy siren I created in my head called Aquarus but I settled on Nerina because it's pretty and it means water nymph and it kind of went from their. I turned the beautiful city of Aquarlis (from the same dream fantasy I'd created Aquarus from) and started creating it in the more style of the little mermaid's kingdom, utilising caves and shell houses and using and befriending sea life to help them. But I like my mythology and a lot of my mersona's identity comes from the mythology surrounding Naiad's (normally I'm a siren person but I became captivated and felt like becoming a mermaid was almost a transformation and having the imagination that I could turn myself into descendant of minor goddess just captivated me allowing to combine my love for music, mermaids and DnD esc fantasy into one) so Nerina is a half Naiad, descending from one 3000 years ago that helped the city and disappeared and her blood is rare. She became the protector of her part of the ocean and is kind caring and lighthearted but left her city to explore the world to discover who she was as she knew she was more than just her blood of the Naiad. I just wanted something that allows me freedom because I move around a lot for university so I incorporated swimming in the sea's at home to swimming pools where I study into who she became. I also made her fantastical because I'd love to become a kids party entertainer whether as dressing up as a disney princess or as a mermaid so I wanted to create something magical for children too and what I would look up to as a child. She probably won't get her custom tail for ages as I'm about to get my first but I have her design in mind being inspired by the butterfly betta fish with a big ripply tail and similar dorsals and extra fins. Plus she has a seal companion because they're cute

Is there a service where you can hire a lifeguard for a day? Because I don’t have any friends. And family can’t make time for me. So when I get my tail I’d have to go mermaiding alone. But that’s to unsafe. So I hope there’s a way to hirer a lifeguard to watch me for a day lol
That's a good question. I know that there are lifeguards that you can hire for parties, so you can try googling something along those lines. I imagine it would be pretty expensive though. It might be worth looking on facebook to see if you have a pod nearby that you can join. They definitely would be down to watching you swim and helping you learn the ropes!

As good as the day I got it. I would say my use has been light, but I haven’t always been the most careful when it comes to scuffing it on surfaces so it’s still taken a bit of a beating.
The second mermaid tail from wish I have it but I got it at Amazon I already know it was a knock off and I’m not going to use it for now until I get mermaid tail that isn’t a knock down version
Finfun and I believe Suntails does sell originals through Amazon now, so it’s all about researching the companies you are purchasing your tails from!
I still don’t recommend people getting fin fun tails and sun tails in Amazon I saw reviews of the fin fun tails and they had holes and they were torn up
@@Cutiepie-lk5sd FinFun comes across to me as a serious company that might not want bad press, so if you order directly from them, and don't like the looks of it you can return it. I bought one of the 25 dollar clearance trails and if looks ok. Not crazy about the efficiency of the tail because of how it attaches to your feet, but it seems comfortable and comes off my feet ok. I am not looking fwd to swimming in it super much, but it was the one we could afford. A used linden is an option.

In my silicone tail? I actually don't swim in this tail much anymore. The first year I was probably using it about every other month though!

If you contact Finis they'll probably replace your Luna. Mine broke almost the same way and they replaced it as soon as I showed proof I bought it. (But I had JUST gotten mine.) Also mine broken one still works somewhat so if you're concerned about using it I'm still able to swim in it.
I just went ahead and bought a new one since it was definitely my mertender's fault it ripped. Mine was unusable since it ripped one of the foot straps clean off, but I've had no issues with my new fin since I replaced it!
This is really important. I am kind of a part of mermaid community for 7 years and I still have had only one tail that I used to death. So now I have no tail, but this video made me feel like I am still a mermaid 🧜🏻♀️! Thank you so much!
Which size should i take? size up?
Honestly it's going to depend on your foot. This fin still gives me blisters with using swim socks because my feet are too wide for the fin (I would say my feet are medium width, I don't have to buy wide shoes or anything). If you have narrow feet whichever length you'd fit on the site would probably be fine for you!
I plan to get me one of these once i move to Australia not sure yet on what color i want cause i want one for my Orca mersona Oracle so not sure wich color would be best :)

how would you like to live in the ocean as a mermaid permanently?
As a freshwater Mer I would rather live in a lake or river, but I don't know if l would want to live there permanently! I have too many amazing things on land I'd want to come back to visit for!
@@mermaidminnow I have a mermaid tail that I sewed for myself years ago but have never gotten to take out and I’ve just found out that there’s a lake only 10 minutes from me and I’m thinking that since it’s colder in Ohio right now I’d finally have a chance to swim in private but the only thing is swimming in lakes kind of freaks me out 🤣 idk why, maybe I’m scared about it being dirty but do you have any tips to get over this? I really want to go

Thank you! It definitely is a gorgeous tail! It is a bummer that these tails are preset sizes though because there are some areas it's very tight and some areas it's too loose unfortunately. It's definitely still swimmable, but only for short swims.
@@mermaidminnow that is very sad many of my friends that have done mermaiding longer than me have had the same issue they need to start fitting more body types because there is only one person in the world With your body and it is you!

really like the shape 👀 very simple looking. kinda wish it's a bit stiffer, since it looks like a dolphin/whale (?) tail, and their tails isn't exactly floppy. but floppiness is indeed mertailor's signature
That’s totally understandable! I personally like how the floppy feels while in the water, but I get why you might want it a little stiffer.
