Recently minted ANDP from TDI this past summer. I'm having a hard time understanding the disparity of decompression time between Petri and the rest of the group. His rebreather wasn't correctly reporting his ppo2? If that's the case wouldn't his deco profile been the same as everyone else and he would have gotten bent? At 90m ppo2 was controlled correctly but as Petri descended/ascended they didn't manually control their ppo2 correctly? Love the content. Thanks.

Amazing dive - so interesting to see the evidence of human activity still sitting in situ. Thanks for filming, and sharing with us. Safe diving! M

It would be amazing to do a dive all the way down to 197 meters. Is that in your all's plans for diving this mine at all? That would be a huge accomplishment!

Curious, why did you need 3 trimix bailout tanks for a 68m dive? Or was it just what you had available?

Are JJs compatible with M-48 MOD-1? I'm assuming that's the facemask you're using for comms at 3:15?

How did you guys manage to put paint on your fins which lasts a while? I tried different tire markers put haven't had any success so far. Awesome dive by the way!

Is there a specific reason why y’all have your tank trim with the bottoms up so high?
@addohm22 күн бұрын
I see this a lot and never understood it myself. It's a part of every sidemount certification so my guess is they never actually took the class. It doesn't really hurt them though with giant back mounted CCR units, no need for a low profile, and the DPV doing all the work. If this were a cave with restrictions and they had no DPV this would be stupidity from head to toe lol

I wish you guys would turn your lights off just to show how dark it is in there.....I've been inside cenotes in Mexico and even the mouth of just the beginning of a cave and I still can't describe the darkness/silence you experience. What you guys are doing here is so dangerous and amazing because even with all the safety and discipline it's still may as well be space 🌌 lol cheers from Canada

When you look at the stairs, railings and drops there are in the mine the healt and safety regulations were not at current level back in the time.

How did the mine flood?
@arcticicedivers7001 Жыл бұрын
As I understand the mine flooded slowly when they stopped pumping the water away after the mine closure. There is a place called pumping room for example at 48 m water level but at least at that level the pumps have been removed. There are just pump beds and some pipework left.

We plan to visit the Plura cave system during the summer for some relaxing diving. Litjåga is a bit tight fit with the JJ so we might pass it this time.

New to technical diving, when you say you use a team approach, does that mean you all carry enough bailout gas if one of the three of you has a problem. If two divers have a problem there wont be enough gas to surface???? That is intense.
@arcticicedivers70012 жыл бұрын
We carry enough bailout gases for all of us bailout at the same time.

Again, you guys are amazing, I just started CCR diving up to 60m. The planning involved to do these dives is incredible. Video, DPV, Deep Gas Mixes, Drysuit, Cold, Overhead Environment, Deco, seriously WOW. Thanks for sharing. If you didn't know and just watched this...This is the limits of Diving.
@arcticicedivers70012 жыл бұрын
By no means this is not the limit of diving. There are Finnish teams which do 2-3 times longer and / or deeper dives than we do.
