  What's wrong with solar . Not much to go wrong.. also you need to turn your hydro to high voltage at the wheel otherwise those cables you have look too small to me. Love hydro. Best of luck

  Checking on a update video. I was thinking you should check the specs on your charge controller. I think it takes 200 volts for it to operate. If you are suppling less then that it will not do anything.

  yep its why they call them MUD BUGS cause they dig down in the mud and make tunnels. Might try dumping a bag of quickcrete in that area to let it seal up that area.

  I'm a PE (Nuke, Mech, some areas of Civil and EE as well) - not my official opinion (if i don't stamp it, i assume no legal responsibility), but looking at historic dams that are over 100 years old, you're fine. With that height, your only real concern is erosion through the wings. Like others have said, make the one side into an emergency spillway, so if you get flow around the dam wall, it won't put the structure at risk. I've seen very old, very thin vertical poured concrete dams, where the upper face probably is enduring tension, that are still standing. Many of those old dams didn't have any rebar at all.
