Blue Water is a beautifully maintained, gated RV resort. We have been going there for many years. It sits at the 14.5 mile marker, so the drive into Key West is quick and easy. Our favorite lot and the one we always ask for is #37. We call it the "Pirate Lot" but I believe it is called "Blue Heaven" by the owners. Besides having a really well appointed tiki hut, We like it because the wind really picks up in the afternoon in the Keys, and #37 is on the canal side and is sheltered from the wind.

That American flag at the end was awesome.....🇺🇸❤️❣️🙏

Lol the chicken lay their eggs every where but a lot of them are on the base for 10 years i spent every nov and dec there and loved every min

Well guys key West is beautiful. My husband and I went there 21 years ago for our honeymoon met up with one of my clients and ended up building a house. Now that’s a new start hay. We loved Key West. We love y’all 💗❤️

My sister lives there. She says she wakes up in heaven every morning. I told her she was lucky. She wanted us to move down there but I can't leave my Tennessee mountains .Breed , Born and live here for ever. The mountains are my home. Its my heaven every morning...one thing she said was , it looks like I can't get away from chickens no matter where I move to .lol lol. From chickens in the Tennessee mountains to CHICKENS Key West Florida...lol...I glad you all had fun... GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Hi guys so glad to see you. I been out of touch lately. They diagnosed burt with asbestosis and we r forever going to appointments. He has another CT scan coming up in September and we're praying it is not mesothelioma. Plus I was starting a full time ebay business to help with bills. But I am so glad to be back . Love you guys. Amazing how the kids have all grown. hugs

I’m headed to the Keys in July for my first visit. My wife and I are staying at a KOA campground in Sugarloaf Key. It is one of the more expensive campgrounds I have stayed in but looks like it might be the nicest too.

I almost bought a lot at Bluewater several years ago and one day I will when the right lot gets listed for sale. It’s hands down the SECOND best Florida RV resort.

Wow, I checked the rates and they're high.

WOW. Just went on the site. Availability early next year is non-existent. For Sale sites are going for $1.35 M. Crazy, but very nice.

What month was you there and what was the average Temps?

I tried to make reservations there and when I got the end it said my trailer had to be at least 24 feet long. I just baought a 18 foot Nucamptab 400 that cost over 40,000. But it’s not good enough for them. Why? Sounds awfully snobby to me!

Just curious, what are the prices at the 2 RV resorts? I'm Canadian and I'm sure I'll be shocked.

Roughly 150 per night but that all depends on when and you get better rates for weekly stays. I heard after we left that the rates went up.

We are Canadian and the prices in all of the keys was insane. We won’t be going back, the beaches are not great either. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

Hi David, thanks for reaching out. Yep we are distant cousins! So Frank & my Great Grandpa Clifford are brothers. One of Clifford’s son’s is Paul who is my Grandpa & my Dad is Greg. I grew up in Thornfield and went to high school in Theodosia & graduated in 2000. I knew Claude who was also a brother of Frank. I don’t remember Frank but I’m sure I was at those reunions at the Lake under the pavilion in the 1990s. That’s so cool you found us on KZread! Do you guys make it down here anymore?

@@davidloftis3163 yes I remember Nancy, haven’t seen her in years. The Lake isn’t the same as it use to be. The Corps let’s it flood way more often now. I’d say in 10 years the campground has only been usable 4 times.

You should join Thousand Trails. I’ve been a member seven years and it’s saved me ton$.

I didn’t give prices because it’s always changing. But we roughly paid $150 per night.
