Through the window I bought a bed at a sale one time that's what I had to do
So fun. We just bought a couple rental “cottages” (they tiny) in Nebraska and one in Kentucky. Getting our fair share of fixer uppers too. God bless and hang in there when Murphy law takes over, it gets better.

Where are are y'all living while the renovations are being done ? Are you going to keep or sell your Class A motor home ? I'm sure you are aware if you find any asbestos & or mold it will require professional abatement will have to be done .
Hey try removing both doors at the bottom of the stairs may help remove beds from upper floor

I have a cousin who lives in Belleview in the Ozarks in a log cabin home built w / the trees on his property . His parents when they retired in New Jersey they first moved to Pompano Beach , Florida then they moved again and had a log cabin built from a kit on my cousins property . He was an only child growing up . He's a retired teacher . Originally he wanted to be a foreign Diplomat .
was that shiplap behind the vinyl paper paneling?.......
When you purchased it and saw 4 different floors in the kitchen were you concerned with asbestos in the floor or glue or possibly lead based paint in the house. Just things to consider.

The cabinets in the kitchen are what would be called built in, as far as how they built cabinets in general back in the day. It actually is better because your not wasting materials and they were made to custom fit the space so every inch would be utilized.
