    My problem was I was putting too much pressure on my back foot so it's important to know you stay in your front foot until the instant of the pop.

    Mine always heelflip. I think it's if your board hits the tail on your back toeside, it kickflips and back heelside it heelflips

    I love this man as a skater but I learnt my bs heelflips from watching Sheckler in the park he does a high heel flip and catches 90 and then reverts the rest. I've learnt it that it inevitable just goes the entire way after a while.

    for me its not about delay as much as it is foot placement the more foot you have on the board the longer its going to take to flick anyhow.

    I like to put my popping foot a tiny bit more on the heel side so it pops just that little second earlier. It can cause a slight heelflip rotation but I use that to stop the shuv just a little easier

    Does that mean your shoes have no wear on the heel? I def flick off the heel, not the toes… and it shows on my shoes

  • @toms_tutorials
    @toms_tutorials8 күн бұрын

    It’s likely your heel still scrapes the griptape *after* the flick. Plus doing other tricks that require more of your foot to slide up the griptape can also create marks on your heel. Not trying to tell you how you’re doing your heelflips, but just food for thought.

    I'm Australian, I'm normally asleep when your vids drop and now I get the much anticipated BS Heel vid! I still think that BS Heel you did in that BATB 11 game on defense against Tom Asta was the best one ever done in the history of BATB. The pop, the way you fully rotated it in the air and of course Felipe Gustavo saying "That was so beast!", that was a sick moment. I had no idea who you were before that video and became an instant fan after watching that, seeing a lesser known name at the time coming out absolutely SWINGING against Asta with a serious flatground clinic, that big hardflip, that SICK frontside bigspin heel and that insane nollie back bigspin heel on defense (and many more), I knew from then you were someone to watch out for. Thanks for all the tutorial vids, you definitely bring a level of detail that many tutorial vids fail to match and even for tricks like nollie 360 flip, pop shuvit, heelflip etc that I know well, I'll still watch the video anyway skip straight to the part where you show off you doing the trick in real and slow motion just to see someone who can do those tricks so ridiculously well!

    Dude thank you so much for saying all this! That's so funny that you mention that BS heel from BATB. The ground at The Berrics is so slippery that I always almost slip out on back heels there, and that's what caused my board to flip like that lol, love that it stood out to you like that! Thank you for all your kind words, I'm honored to know I've been on your radar and I appreciate you sharing all this as it's super fulfilling to hear. I will definitely keep them coming! 👊
