I must add a 'fresh comment here: we are almost gone from the days of performances like this. No dancing, no gyrations, just plain and simple singing-story telling, taking the listeners on a ride to a place never visited before or since. Two beautiful instruments being used to infuse love, life, energy, and oneness into the receiver. We need more Sarah's and Ella's and Dinah's and Nancy's on the airwaves.

John was on Kelly and Ryan this morning. He praised Sammy Davis Jr. for unexpectedly inviting him to come to play the drums on the General Hospital set when he was a kid. It wasn't written in Scripe. He was so thankful to Sammy for starting his career. He said if you don't believe me, go to KZread and look it up. 😂😊❤

Thanks so much for the upload of parts 1 and 2. And for anybody out there, if you get a chance, read those 2 Sammy autobiographies, they are powerful. I think his daughter also wrote a sort of third installment from her perspective. But what a life. If you think about the baton passing from old showbiz to modern showbiz, race, religion, marriage, adoption, social/political issues, physical ability AND physical injury-so many things captured in one life.

These interviews just made my day. These two gentlemen have extremely high prominent positions in my own loving hall of favorites. Two classically amazing gentlemen. Talented, gorgeous, entertaining, true genuius in making people enjoy the time spent watching them. Bless you Sammy, even after all these years, I still say 'Why Me' was one of the best books I ever read. Sammy Davis Jnr was a favorite of mine as a child. Learning more about classic stars like this is the real genius of great interviewing. Much love, a fan, Theresa 💜🙋♀️☯️
