I have one of these cameras, very cheap with the 12-32mm f3.5/5.6 lens (399 €). If you use your right eye to look through the viewfinder, your nose won't touch the display. There is a special grip available for larger hands and a mirror for the hot shoe to take selfies.

Just picked one up for $125! Fellow didn't like the viewfinder, had it for a few years, treated it very nicely, no marks, and I'm enjoying it a ton! So, I've decided to go with the OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ Black kit lens for street photography and I'm excited to pick that glass up. Def not as good as that 20mm you picked up, but it'll be fun, I'm sure. Great video. Thank you!

I record mostly 4k 24p so SD cards in my G9II works great. Important stuff stuff I can record to both SD cards. I do wish Lumix would let you record to the SD card and to an external drive at the same time.

It transforms the EVF into a black chamber for bright days, very comfortable for the eyes, and gives a solid 3 points anchor stabilization system (2 hands and 1 eyebrow) because you can press on the EVF with your eyebrow. A side effet could be that your nose will no longer touch the LCD :) My nose is never interfering with the LCD on my GX9.

Great review. I was in a similar situation. Use this more than the larger cameras. The 14mm 2.5 is also a great lens for this camera. The 12-32 that usually comes with this is also quite useful and has stabilisation. The only drawback is you have to rotate it to enable it.

I don't know how mac users cope with their tiny internal drive. On some PC laptops, we can have two M.2 slots, some even have 3 M2 plus thunderbolt/USB4

I get it and agree. If you’re not a Mac user or fan then you probably don’t and won’t ever get it. I’m a PC guy from the 90’s so I’ve seen my way around a PC. A lot of things that bug me about macs … price, configuration limits and proprietary software…to name a few are things that “come with the territory”. Gamer - PC , Creator/Editor - Mac. That’s pretty much how I see it.

@@capitolbassfishing I'm a creator but i switch from mac to pc after Apple decided to remove user expandanility from their systems. Having a non-removeable storage when the hardware fails mean your work must be stored on an external drive all the time or risk having it deleted should apple needs to work on your machine. On a PC however, i can simply yoink out those drives, drop them into another system and continue working. it's nice buying a laptop and upgrading it to suit your needs. For me, I started with 32Gb, then upgraded it to a massive 64GB, 16 Tb of onboard storage and 4K display.

Just received it. It has a few drawbacks. 1) It does not come with arca swiss plate type ballhead and it is not changeable! 2) Leg angle cannot be adjusted. The only adjustment is laying it almost flat! 3) No bubble leveler. But it is not a deal breaker. Most cameras now come with a leveler. I picked it up for $70, so no complains.

Got to say that I'm still happy with my Canon EOS Rebel SL2 (200D). It replaced a Canon EOS Rebel XSi (450D). Got it second hand about 5 years ago with no lenses. I mainly use a Sigma 17-50 F2.8 EX DC OS HSM lens (Canon mount of course), and have the same set of Canon pancake lenses.

Great video. My only problem is the after I connect everything “ Apple TV, Sonos ARC to the TV, I don’t have sound from the Apple TV. Like I said video is in 4K Dolby Vision. Under Apple TV setting I can see that the Atmos is unlocked. If I go to my Sonos App and play a song in Atmos no problem at all. Works great. Can you help me please?

You want the Lumix PZ14-42 H-PS14042, it gives you a more than adequate zoom and folds to the size of the 20/1.7 to slip into a pocket. The 20/1.7 is tack sharp but unstabilised, slow to focus and cannot AFC.

Hope you sold the P12-60mm lens at a good price. I too was looking for a small M43 body. I landed on the GX85. Wow. Great value for money. As you said, this body is feature rich. Very glad it has IBIS. Being a Panasonic camera there are a lot of video features too. I’m a photographer so I appreciate the tilting screen. This body produces lovely still and video images. The autofocus is contrast only. It is quick & accurate for photography. Not so much for video. It hunts and goes back & forth until it locks on to your subject. The focus isn’t sticky and may lock onto another subject. I upgraded to the GX9. Overall, incremental improvements. My GX9 came with the P12-60mm lens. Like you, I was going to Craigslist it to lower the cost of the new body. I also have the PL12-60mm lens. Turns out, for me, it isn’t too large or heavy for the body. I appreciate the range of this zoom. Favorite feature is the L monochrome D B&W jpeg. Very contrasty. Big complaint with Panasonic. Why, oh why, did you exclude the audio mic? Big mistake. Last month I was at the local camera store. They had a GX8 in good condition for less than the GX85 &9. All these bodies are small and light. They produce lovely stills & video. These bodies fit in a coat pocket with the small primes. Glad I own these bodies. I can recommend any of them for EDC, street, travel, or family photography. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

The main reason I got a G9 six years ago was the Leica 100-400--smaller/lighter than a 70-200 f/2.8 for "FF" with an EFL range of 200-800mm? Yes, please. There is no significantly different "look" of an image from a larger format camera (that anyone other than the most pedantic would possibly notice--and if they do notice things like that, they're missing the point). The advantages of MFT far outweigh the theoretical disadvantages compared to larger formats. The G9 "I" is still a formidable camera today and I've kept mine after recently getting a G9M2. Once I'm as "at one" with the M2 as I am with the original (IMO, there has never been a more comfortable body than the G9 "I" and that includes the M2), we'll see how much I use the older one. I have carried both to minimize lens changing, but that's a bit of an encumbrance--if I wanted extra weight and bulk, I'd go "FF" (or more likely MF).

The best and the simple way for me was to get a good tv and a good soundbar whit earc and a good hdmi cable even if a had to pay a little extra, and from what I herd the best dolby atmos is from a blue ray player because is an uncounpress signal and they said is the only time you to enable earc on the tv or when is from a source that sends uncunpres signal the apple tv doesn’t have that because is a streaming box and the signal is compress, all I can say is the sonos sounds amazing and I get the atmos in the app whit no problem

Yeap. There is a groove next to the phone holder (check 3:51), and you can easily fix a 10x6mm bubble level there with Blu-Tack. In fact, the groove looks like it was originally reserved for the bubble level, but it may be because of the product price that the bubble level is not included.
