You won't be able to really appreciate the soundmate Pro's noise cancellation until you activate them on a flight. As far as I am concerned, it's a ah-ha moment. They really work well during airline flights.

@A Whole there are 2 identical sets of the Sound Mates. The Pro ANC Sound Mates has noise cancellation while the none Pro ANC are not noise canceling.

Sound 8/10 and bass 7/10 volume is 6/10 but sounds fine...just not super loud.

I just bought a pair last week for $34.99, and its ideal for what i need compared to paying the price for airpods. And good review.

The way I tested the noise cancelling was with rain background noise on my tv. It ended up muffling it to the point where I couldn’t make it out. It’s decent for cheaper headphones.

Extremely good review video. I'm on a roll with watching these, since you hit every topic that I care about when looking for earbuds. Keep up the great videos!

A quick follow up...I put these (headphones only) in the wash the other day (accident) and pulled em out after about 15 minutes...so they were soaked. Put them in rice over my heat vent and they still work fine. Impressive.

I have (4) and is much better than AirPod pro. The ANC is perfect inside the plane coz you can really hear the plane sound. For the value comparison I’m satisfied with soundmates. I bought it from Amazon and costs me only $14.99. I bought one from Home Depot and returned it. How I wish you can control the volume and probably they will for the next model. But overall I’m satisfied.

Ngl I already have AirPods and received these as a Christmas gift and I’m surprised at how good these are; while they’re not gonna be mains over my AirPods I genuinely will attach these to things and use them from time to time. One big thing is that the anc really only gets things like fans and consistent noises which is really good for vr games or casual games, I’ve never used my AirPods for gaming but I do think these have a unique but perfect niche for me.

So I tried listening to music with these as I do my AirPods and while I don’t think they’re worse, it’s almost a lateral move. The sound tends to be more true for example in songs that have a lot of layers I found myself able to notice more things than I had before but at the same time I feel that the AirPods had such a different feel sonically that it’d likely be preference. Definitely prefer my regular AirPods (gen 2 or whatever idk which, not pro’s) ergonomically.

Unfortunately, the drawbacks with the standard Bluetooth is what holds this from achieving the multi machine connectivity that Airpods has. Otherwise, these are probably the best generic cheap TWS with actual halfway decent ANC. If you're on a single device/Android camp, I agree that they will get the job done.

what bluetooth level or version allows multimachine switching. I am not "up" on the different bluetooth versions. thanks for the comment and watching.

Great review! I have an Apple phone and watch, had the airpods (not pro) and was never satisfied with them. I really enjoy these and can't justify paying for the airpods again.

@@techwaketv They have been temperamental and I ended up going back to my wired EarPods.

I'm a little late to the party but i just scored 6 of these for $5 CAD (+ auction fees) each in a local online auction. 1 in the first auction on a whim to try them out, then 5 more in the auction that ended tonight after liking the first pair. $40 CAD after fees and taxes to have a pair for my bedroom, one in my car, one in an overnight/weekend bag, one in my gym bag, and a couple spares for replacing potential defects. Only complaint is lack of volume control. Maybe could have put the unused single taps to use there.

sorry to hear, yes in my testing the ANC model is more problematic than the regular soundmates

dont know...there may be a way but I dont know off the top of my head. Check out the TOZO NC2, I did a video on those too. they do have volume control for sure and incredible noise canceling.

I hear this alot. Make sure they are fully charged. Keep trying them eventually they may work...also make sure the charge area is clean and free of debris...wipe it out with a q-tip and alchohol. If that all doesnt work - return em. Sorry youre having trouble.

Mine are dog sh**. I bought em and wish I didn't. Constantly drops connection and just garbo connection all together, especially if your hand/item is in the way of bluetooth source. Trash.

I charged them fully and they lasted 20 minutes

@@techwaketv you're good, everyone has their own taste. I'm just not a fan of apples stuff, they used to be a good company at one point though. I just find it odd to be comparing a pair of headphones to airpods instead of actual headphones like a Bose product, if airpods are better than the $35 product then that product is not worth $35 to me, but if it's 1/3 as good as some Bose quiet comfort or something then I'd probably pay up to $90.
