The Gardening Channel With James Prigioni

The Gardening Channel With James Prigioni

Gardening is my passion, and growing Food Forests is my specialty. I go beyond organic gardening and work with nature rather then against it. Gardening doesn't have to be hard, and you don't have to be a servant to the garden. I can help you too create a gardening system that works with you and for you rather then you working for it. I use No pesticides, No herbicides. No fungicides, No growth hormones, No antibiotics, and No fertilizers. I allow nature to be the teacher and mimic the natural forest model to create an ideal living environment for all living things. I know their aren't a lot of people who are super excited about growing their own food, but at a time when GMO's and pesticide laden foods are causing so many health problems, I am standing in the gap showing others there is a different, and a better way!

how can you not like autumn olive? it grows really well, doesn't require maintenance, it's a nitrogen fixer, it produces prolific fruit, the fruit is tart and sweet, it's very healthy (antioxidants & lycopene & vitamin C), and very tasty especially if you wait til sep/oct. maybe you tried a less desirable variety - i only know the ones that came with my yard, but one online nursery i just found, called planting justice, has 6 named varieties of autumn olive.

James, didn't you say Tuck has "collapsing trachea"? I rescue and have had a handful of dogs with this condition. My vets would put them on a steroid...Temeril P and after awhile they would develop Cushings which affects all the organs. In Dec we resuced two small dogs and both have the condition. I read on the internet that Hemp Oil was an effective treatment. I give them 1/4 dropper (they are 8-10#) and it is as if they don't haev an issue now. My vet says it relaxes the muscle. Maybe this will help Tuck.

Only determinant plants you want those extra growth gone. But the leaves off the ground at first you want off on all tomato plants. Indeterminate tomatoes benefit from the extra plant growth. I love the beefsteaks and the are indeterminate. All beefsteaks, no matter the breed.
