I'm trying to figure out how to fill raised garden beds using as much native soil as possible to reduce costs. I live in NJ as well. What ratio would you recommend?
Man i used to watch this channel all the time, yet I didn’t even notice KZread stop showing them to me 😂 what a pleasant surprise today

@@Chillyp3hey same here. A lot of bad stuff happened then but the way I choose to look at it, is that a lot of us picked up new hobbies or arts that we never would have tried. I never thought i could grow so much stuff but here I am planting tons of brassica seeds and harvesting Jimmy nardello peppers 😂

The KZread Algorithm is clever. It's probably picked up on seed starting season making gardening videos popular around March and starts boosting these awesome gardening videos around this time intentionally.

Just received my Team Grow Seed 4 cell seedling starter trays and lids. They are definitely stronger and better quality than any other I have purchased from very well known sources. I was shocked at how fast I received my shipment as well and packaged well with no waste! So wonderful! I am right now ordering putting in another order for the 10"X10" Seed Starting Bundle. I am so impressed that I am on the Team Grow site ordering Standard 6 cell seedling starter trays with lids! I can see where I will not have to purchase starter trays every year using these high quality strong trays and lids. Thank you for sourcing such wonderful products!

I so love to see Tuck. I lost my Yorkie who I had for 16 years. I miss him. But, looking at Tuck brings back memories of love that I had for my baby. I so enjoy your tips and tricks. Keep it coming. I wish I could just drop seeds in a pot and not think of all the rules and regulations to growing. But I listen. Thanks
What's up Tuckie ❤❤❤❤❤ Good to see you helping your dad with the garden ❤
He's looking very handsome with his new haircut. Tuck is always a cutie. ☺💕
❤ thanks for being caring to Tuck and so knowledgeable. You help everyone who follows you with their self sufficiency and you enhance skill levels with such great ideas. Thanks James
Tucker is so cute. I do talk about him, since he is the only vegetarian dog that I know. He is just lovely regardless. Thanks for the video.
Just wanted to say, I’m thankful for you!!! ☺️
James. You're my most favorite gardener to learn from. I hope your garden is super blessed this year my friend.
I’m in the south of England and we have had so much rain that I can’t do anything at my allotment. The whole plot is under water. Getting the seeds started is the only thing keeping me sane. But I didn’t realise that there was so many things I could get started in March. I’ve never grown flowers but I will give it a go this year. Thank you for motivating me, your enthusiasm is contagious. Looking good Tuck ❤

Flowers are a must for getting pollinators in, even daisies, sweet peas, anything easy to grow will bring in the "good" bugs, helping get rid of the destructive bugs.

Love Tuck! I had a Silkie Terrier when I was a teenager. I wish I could afford to adopt one now. They are wonderful family dogs, good with cats, larger dogs and chickens and very much the alpha!
❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤🎉 for TUCK. 🐕 My daughter says that this is the BEST garden channel 😊

Hello neighbor, thank you for sharing. Totally is my time line to start up. Blessings 😊
Tuck looks cute with his new haircut!❤❤❤❤. Thanks for this list of veggies to start. Always a fan of your videos and info.
❤❤❤❤❤. I love your videos and the information you provide. I am in Texas and a couple of weeks ahead of you in seed starting. So it is like a reminder, if I forgot something. Looks like I need to get borage and chamomile sowed when I free up some space.
Love to grab a cup of Coffee in the morning and watch your Videos!! I dont have a garden, but 2 balkonys, allready growing a lot of nice things out there and trying a lot of new stuff thanks to your Videos and energy 🤗🌱💚 Sending Lots of love from Austria! ❤️🐶
You're so fun to watch. I finally have my own yard to grow stuff in, and my pupper likes to help me work in the garden, too. Ok, she's a 6 month old sheepdog. She mostly likes to run circles around me and bark while *I* work in the garden.😂
Enjoy your channel. You are such a positive and upbeat individual; love watching your pup and how you love Tuck in your videos.
Love little Tuck Tuck❤! Handsome little guy. Thanks for posting. I live in Massachusetts and was so ready for my garden to start but it’s still way too cold outside. I had lost motivation , but your video has me all geared up again. Can’t wait for my tomatoes this year! Thanks
Love some Tuck & James too!! ❤❤❤🐾🐾🤩 🤩🤩🙏
👏🏼😇👏🏼greetings from Central California- great video!
Starting some super hot peppers and tomatoes next weekend, this is my first year being able to have a garden
Def my favorite channel! Love that you are in the same growing zone. It’s super helpful
❤'s to Tucky from Kentucky. We love Tuck.
In regards to marigolds, its worth noting there are 3 types of varieties. French, African and Signet. Only the African repel bugs! The others do not but they are pretty and attract pollinators
I have cats and they're not always cute acting in the garden 😮. I love Tuck ❤❤❤
A ❤for tuck, and a 🙌🥬🥦for you James. This is the best seed starting video on timing and conditions yet! Especially because I’m located in the same county as you. Very much appreciated!
German camomile grows like a weed here (in germany;) And that is fine in my Garden. It surpresses the real annoying weeds. And looks awesome mixed with the red poppies (also came Natural) and the purple phacelia. Saved some seed from wild borage and other wild herbs and flowers, looking Forward to an awesome Garden year.
I loved the way you grew your tomatoes last year. What a haul 😊
Tuck is soooo cool and adorable... I just adore him Thanks for all the tips, I am learning alot from you...I'm in 7a so, I'm glad I found your channel!

Tuck is such a sweet assistant. Love his “spring look”! I’m starting my cauliflower and broccoli today! Thanks for the great info!

Love your videos! Great energy and Tuck is soooo cute!
I remember watching yall when you only had 1000 subscribers, now your at 1.3 million?!?!? So very happy to yall doing so well, doing what you love! Keep up the great work James!
I like to sow my spinach into a cold frame in September rather than wait until the spring (I don't put the cover on until the weather gets cold). I've even overwintered it under an overturned clear plastic tote. This way, I get a much earlier and more abundant harvest before the first spells of heat in May cause it to bolt. Most years, we celebrate New Year's Day with our first spinach salad of the season! Occasionally, like this mild winter, we enjoy a salad or 2 during the cold months, then by mid March, look out, we can't keep up with it. By just picking the outer leaves, we harvest it until mid-late May when a hot, humid spell will take it out. I'm in Southern Ontario, Zone 6b, where we do not have consistent snow cover to protect it.
I was today years old when I learned Arugula is a brassica. 🤯 ❤❤❤ For Tuck.
Love your videos! 💚 🌱 🌿 Tuck is looking good, too 😁
Good to see the Tuckster out in the garden with you. I am looking forward to a new gardening season with you.❤❤❤

Just wanna say, I really appreciate your channel sir. I built 9 of those 4x8 planters that you designed in my front yard - I've been learning and getting better, lots of people have helped but you got me started with those raised beds and when I run into your vids they're always so good... I guess it's time I get my butt subscribed. Thanks again

Hi James & sweet Tuck. 😊 from VA Beach, VA. Zone 8b , gardening adjacent to a salt marsh. Great content &, as always, love your enthisiasm, attention to detail & great personality! Love the companion flowers - borage, I've got to add that one! Thanks James!
My goodness that cabbage was huge!!!

I have been waiting and waiting on March to get here. And you are one of the reasons. This is one of those prideful moments I guess when I feel I might be able to pay it back a little bit because you have told me so much about gardening. When you mentioned cilantro, tasting like soap to some people. The reason for that is, that is actually an allergic reaction. Literally, there are some people that are allergic to cilantro, the only side effect, though, is that it makes it taste like soap. In all seriousness, that is but a drop in the bucket compared to the knowledge I have learned from you. I cannot thank you enough for your videos, because you inspire so many of us to get out there and get growing
Tuck is the best! Thanks for the wonderful spring planting tips! I just bought Borage and Marigold while I was watching this video because I had forgotten them.
Looking very handsome Tuck! ❤❤❤
Tuck is Brutiful, with his new cut.
❤❤❤ hey tuck. You look handsome spotin' that new due
we in Zone 9a use to be able to plant later but due to climate change we have to plant earlier...i plant each year around Feb 16 but start inside Dec 29 from seed, I have to cover up for awhile but it works for me.
We love Tuck! You are looking handsome, sweet guy!! Terriers are the best. ❤❤❤
❤❤❤ Tuck. Thanks for another great video!!
Thank you for sharing this cool information 😊. ❤for tuck❤
The way I use to get 3 pound tomatos was by using compacted grass compost in large chunks burried.
Don't forget that Broccoli leaves are delicious. I prefer them over kale and have not grown kale in the past several years.
💙💙💙 hey Tuck get your sweater on! I have most of these started. Great video!
That's such a different color. It's nice to have something cool to contrast with my other colors and leaf types.
Love seeing Tuck. He's such a dapper gentleman with his spring look.
🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜 for Tuck! Also, totally understand the false last frost. Mine is technically April 1, but my tomatoes will never go out until after Mother’s Day!
I have a little lady boss that looks like she could be Tuck’s sister that follows me around everywhere and guards the plants and me when I’m outside 😂
