I am THRILLED to hear about Tuck's progress and so happy to hear he's doing better! I have a 13-year-old German Shepherd who is MY guardian of the garden and over the summer she was really struggling. We also got her meds changed up and she's doing great as well. They bring so much joy and we owe it to them to take the very best care possible. I'm overjoyed for you and sweet little Tuck!

@@usa2342 She gets Hills Science Diet large breed senior dog food. I also supplement with a homemade food of chicken, brown rice and pumpkin puree if she has a pancreatitis flare.

@@hellokimmy68 thanks for replying! Good to know what people feed their dogs! I got German shepherd mix. I tried almost all high end dog food for him, and the one that works for him currently is diamond grain free kibbles.

@@usa2342 we had Raven on Earthborne Holistic, but her vet actually recommended the Science Diet and she loves it! As long as they enjoy eating it, that's one of the main things.

My little sidekick is going to be 17 in March. He doesn't hear very well anymore, but he still runs around like a puppy. Lol! Keep up the good work and tell Tuck to stay tough like little dogs should. 👍❤

My baby boy is gonna be 15 in January. His hearing is bad and his eyes are blurring but he’s feisty at times still. He’s my baby. He loves his momma so much. Makes me think how much more Jesus Christ loves his children the way this puppy has loved me.

Glad to hear Tuck is doing a lot better. Prednisone is nasty stuff. The negative side effects on mood are so pronounced. Getting off that stuff will make him feel so much better. He looks really great and vibrant.

So glad that Tuck is feeling better. My little Yorkie "Tinker" also went through the same problems this past year. He has also improved considerably as we learned which med and dosage worked for him. Getting his weight down also helped. Good thing the Yorkies have short legs or they'd be scouring through all the raised beds and containers!

Woah, interesting for ME to see your comment. 😊 My second and last pet friend was named Tinker! She was a champagne colored teacup poodle. She truly was a friend to me. She even survived an earthquake that damaged our home extensively (I was at work). She wasn’t mean or barky, but she always just stayed with me. And only slept in my room in a house full of family. When she passed, I was done. I still miss her right now. And I’m so glad to have known her. I’ve heard that Yorkies are sturdy, mighty little friends. I hope your little Tinker sticks around for many happy years with you. 🤗

It’s crazy warm in zone 5 this year, but not warm enough at night. It has been 15-20*F higher than normal.

I cannot believe how many vegetables he will eat. I hope he keeps getting better. God bless and Merry Christmas to you all.

My little 14 year old chihuahua has a collapsed trachea….the vet told it’s from her having a collar on for her first 7 years. We took it off and only use a harness on her if she has to be on a leash. Our vets never prescribed an inhaler. Does Tuck “snort”? Tink does like she’s grasping for breath but it doesn’t happen often now. But she has heart problems, etc and is mostly blind. I love Tuck and pray he keeps doing well! He’s precious like my little Tinker! I enjoy your videos and appreciate all I learn from you! I’m in zone 7a/b in southern VA…..I would give anything to have a garden like yours…..but I’m OLD…..lol! I appreciate all I can grow! God bless you and Tuck! That sounds like a reverse sneeze. My dog does that sometimes, my vet told me to give him a half of a Benadryl when that happens. It stopped it immediately.

I’m glad you brought Tuck to NorthStar Vets. They’re expensive, but with a huge medical staff of specialists, I’ve found that I end up saving money in the long run when I take my pets to them first…. rather than wasting time and money with local vets and would end up taking them to NorthStar after all. They’re lifesavers. I’m so glad that Tuck is feeling better.

Yeah, in zone 10 SoCal here, my tomatoes and peppers are happier now than they were all summer. No more incinerating heat! Though, I do cover them at night whenever temps are expected to get under 45.

❤❤❤ for Tuck. Our Yorkie is going on 12 now and he's had a few health issues, and also a little issue with his trachea but not bad enough for surgery. He looks an awful lot like Tuck and he also guards our carrots, peas, kale and blueberries, which he enjoys possibly more than us. So many squirrels and bunnies to chase off!
