I had those drivers too about 27 years ago. The box on mine was smaller like a subwoofer but the speakers were the same. Foam rotted so many times i replaced it 3 times and the 4th time it got replaced with rubber surrounds

i ended up gluing the side of a glue stick (used for glue guns) at the dust cap and pulled up ant it worked like a charm!

hello, i have a logitech z213 but the satellite speaker is already grounded.. can i used redragon anvil speaker instead as the satellite speaker.. actually Physically i can connect the redragon anvil speaker to the subwoofer because it has same connector.. my concern is... it possible to damage both subwoofer and speaker in the long run of usage?

I really like this video! But, I would like to know why did you set the high cut level at minimum level, 50 Hz in both cases (Yamaha and Pioneer subs)? Shouldn´t it be set at 80 Hz for example? Thanks for share your amazing work!
Both ways are correct. 80 Hz is more in line with the THX standard. I use 50 Hz because, with this setting, I get the most balanced sound. There is no wrong way; you just need to make tests to find the best setting for your sound taste.
@@Techscrews thanks for your quick answer! I have a pair of MA Bronze B2 + MA ASW100 sub + Marantz SR5400, but Im interested in stereo listening and dont find the correct crossover seting. To better results to music, the sub and amp are connected by pre out R and L. I tohugh that the crossover point in the sub should be one octave upper than de lowest frequency reproduced by main soeakers. In my case the Bronces are un range 42 hz - 22 khz and the sub min crossover point is 40 hz. I love deep bass no boomy.
@@estebansanmiguel6960 It is better to connect the subwoofer to the AV receiver's sub out. This way, you will be able to set an audio crossover from the AV receiver and remove the bass from the front speakers, allowing you to adjust the overall system more effectively. The subwoofer crossover can be set to 120Hz or higher because the frequency is determined by the AV receiver's settings.
@@Techscrews Im agree with you for movies, but found is not the best way to listen music. To pre out connection the sub wake up earlier and sound so much deeper. The sub crossover is set at 80 hz but at the correct volume setting, feel so tiring sound. For that reason Ive answer about the low crossover setting point, in the video seems powerfull, clean and complete sound. May be, should I try to set 40 Hz point and little bit upper the gain to compensate. Thank you very much to take the time to answer my questions!

Can I use this sub with another pair of speakers. I mean, can I set volume and bass level and then unplug speakers cables. Will it keep the same level without original speakers?
no, you need disconnect sattelite speaker drivers, just cut one wire each driver inside box, then just connect subwoofer to any another system like in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mJ55xbugcba6edY.html
