I am currently guitarist, drummer and founder member in 1979 of the Anarcho-punk/Deathrock band Rubella Ballet.
I was the drummer for the Epileptics who became Flux of Pink Indians. Providing the tribal drums for Tube Disaster & donating the music for Sick Butchers & Background to Malfunction, the b-side of Neu Smell released on CRASS records originally written by me for Rubella Ballet.
I was personally asked by my friend Poly Styrene to reform the legendary X-Ray Spex in 2008 for her last gig at The Roundhouse in London.
I am the editor for Zillah Minx's film She's a Punk Rocker UK and forthcoming feature film and series She Rocks Punk.

This is great Sid! I will confess I didn't know you were still outputting. All the best to you as always
Garbage music for garbage people .
Thanks for this very interesting. People have changed so much . We all carry the pain of existing in the 21st century. People were more natural then.
Somebody said that the band fuzz box rip this band off.But I say in looks yes but in music no
i love this release, grabbed it a few months back and they sent them personalized/signed. thank you sid, zillah and crew. i really dig the newer materials sound. it sounds excellent loud!
Thank you so much for the feedback, really makes the extra effort we put in to make the limited release of 350 extra special. Just blasted it out at home and I agree it really does sound cool loud. 👑💯❤
Nice one Sid!
Thank you, really appriciate positive feedback. ❤💯
@@PlanetPunk Anytime, big fella, See you at Rebellion!
1992 what a time to be alive 😳 Best memories ever and this video sums up a lot of it 👍
Music is horrible
If you experienced it you would understand This is the best time period for rave music and if you don’t like any rave music WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE 🫤
❤
Gutted I never got a chance to see her play back in the day
❤
Absolutely beautiful I’m in tears
Me too, its the anniversary of her passing today x
Life defining nights......
Been a bit quiet during the scamdemic has crass ; funny that
This was a Sad Farce it wasnt X ray spex at all Polly was vocalist of one the best best bands ever Not the band & those terrible backing vocals
That was was Great! Love the jramble!
Crass were a pivotal band for me in my early teens. Just the mindset of those people was inspiring and the anarcho-punk ethic is still with me today some 50+ years later. Thanks for giving this insight.
I bought the B-52 LP by accident, I meant to buy X-ray Spex, it didn't matter, they were both good (XRS was better)
This song popped into my head while driving today, thank you
one of my small time heroes. i've supported him in 2016 and still see him occasionally at rebellion. his partner Jona always remembers me and has a good natter with me and Steve remains a gentle, humble sort who'll often say hello and take a photo. every time is a honorable experience.
Thankyou for this, I was at these and 22 yrs old then, now 53 lol and still love the tracks to this day, your live performance was the nuts, all the best.
Beautiful!❤
Does Sid actually know how to play guitar? Maybe it is not plugged in, lol. 🤣🤣🤣
i found a cd of this band at goodwill today, thought the cover looked sick so i bought it. this is good stuff!
was this ever released on VHS/DVD?
Sheer genius, one of the greatest songs ever written. She must have been so inspired. R.I.P.
good one
you beautiful man
18:31 ... regardless of one's economic/political standpoint; that's a question raised by A LOT of musicians of all genres.
R I P Poly
Tears-to-my-eyes beautiful, thank you!
Man I bet that fucking slammed 🤘😭🤘
Bloody great performance but her Mike was switched off I think 🤔 sad!!!
Absolute legend
Sound team gets a solid "F" ... must have been so disappointing not to be able to hear Poly.
nasa ,what a con ,
I went to see Crass in Holborn, drank too much and fell asleep on a chair and woke up after Crass had started playing to see a table flying towards me and a load of skinheads fucking the place up. Managed to find my mate and caught the last train home. Good times!
Love the interview as CRASS was and still is one of my favorite bands. However, as a frog, I wish there were some subtitles !
UP ありがとう🙏
I love this sound and I love you rubella ballet. Total admiration, please, health and Anarchy to all
