The Lemat Uppermat (Soon to be the Haymaker according to Crytek's recent video logs) is my favorite medium slot sidearm. What can I say? It just treats me well, lol. That or the bow because it can be an absolute monster in capable hands.

Bleed intensity on weapons did scale by distance before this patch and was very evident in the shooting range against the lighthouse target. They have probably adjusted the distance thresholds for bleed intensity and did a sort of lie by omission to make the nerf seem more drastic.
i can understand dum dum for it...but flechette is another story, i barely see anyone use it since it can't 1 shot anything at close range unless everything require headshot even so...the change to flechette seem abit weird even tho the change is barely noticeable since the benefit i use flechette is the accuracy and range for a shotgun
why have a spear, when u can just throw the shotgun with a spear attached.

at least your not using star shell. Give me a reason to use star shell. ill wait. Neverless... you do you. i dont give too much of a damn about ammo types (so long as you dont use outright usless equipment.)
Half starshell in a romero or in a lemat can be nice to burn bodies if you don't want to bring a flare gun or fusees! You get a bit more range with starshell compared to dragons breath meaning longer range body burns
@@peebnute with the flare duration increases they're way better as a dynamic light source, casting player shadows and being able to discern movement a lot easier. I think they've done some optimization with the update, but you can also use them to wage war on lower spec PCs, if you want to sweat that hard.
@ToyGoldenSonic If you're not closely engaging or have a spear now, it's fine for a LeMat. Romero's split ammo so it's essentially another LeMat with slug (talon variant exists, too). Those are the only two guns that can load starshells. As for why you'd take it on a LeMat? The tool slot for traps or if you just like flares. Detonating barrels +40m away, blinding peaks (haven't checked for flaregun, but fusees seem to obscure your head from their glare, but you can look through them just fine when close enough, good for log pile peaks), instant killing hive bomb swarms/armoreds, and just general visibility and getting info around corners if the dynamic shadows want to work.
I like hitting someone with Starshell at least once in a fight. Just gotta send a message.
Never 2 taps for me, so I rather keep buckshot
As a penny shot user this has absolutely no effect on my gameplay. I also use poison ammo as my status ammo of choice for poison sight.

I used to really like flechette, but i've missed too many point blank kills since it can't one-hit without a headshot. It's frustrating having a shotgun that can't function in close quarters :(
Gotta bring the Specter Bayonet so you can just poke anyone who gets too close :3

great video as always!! this patch has a lot of unasked for and frankly bad changes, poison ammo nerf, springfield bleed nerf (although the centennial and drilling deserved it), spear (in its current state), krag dmg buff, and obviously the flechette nerf, but I'm glad they didn't destroy it!

personal opinion, the scotfield feels worst to play than it seems on paper.
Actually had fun. But whatching them play so dumb and passive is paaaaaaaaaain
Caldwell Conversions aside from Uppercut are mid-high C tier at best, Pax is better for fanning and possible damage, it's the worst pistol in my opinion, but can't say its bad, just outpaced. Nagant M1895 family itself is the worst pistols in the game now, every other gun does what it does but better, and as of a recent balance change makes the silenced nagant in D tier as well. Scottfields, aside from Spitfire are generally B tiers, generally good but Pax feels better to use. New Army and Bornheim in my opinion are balanced fast fire pistols, they sacrifice a stat to gain a higher fire rate, and say they're B and A respectively. Officer, Scottfield Spitfire, and espically Dolch on the other hand are unbalancedly good and belong in high A to S. Officer is generally "worse" but I wouldn't say worse enough that a half second firerate and second highest ammo pool of the semi-auto pistols is a strong enough downside espically with Dumdum to ensure two taps or High Velocity to have longer range headshots. Spitfire attempts to sacrifice a stat by having the worst accuracy, and while it does, I don't think it's enough to be honest since every hunter may just aim down sights, and is the only semi-auto to still use fanning. Dolch is straight up overpowered, Special Ammo types shouldn't be given to a special ammo only weapon that has been a balancing nightmare, let alone FMJ.
I know its an old video an you probably sont see this comment but i realy wanna hear your take on the compact meta ! especisly with the New announcments long ammo gonna take a hit so compact and medium ammo will have more of the spotlight :)

To answer your question though, I don’t think Long ammo is going to fall out of the meta, as it just has too many upsides that compact and medium don’t have (125+ damage, high pen and velocity without need for custom ammo). Since we haven’t yet seen any bullet drop for anything aside from very long range long ammo, it’s hard to say what the meta is gonna look like after the update, but I bet we’ll be seeing a lot more high velocity and spitzer ammo (assuming they don’t get changed) because players will want an easy way to reduce bullet drop instead of learning the trajectory. Videos like this show how crappy mmr system works. We play on three stars too, but compared to these guys, we should be gods in this game. And we still die to really smart players who have way more time in game and share the very same lobby not only with us, but with these guys as well. At the same time, when I was starting to play the game it was very upsetting to fight against people who are way better than you. Why is it so hard to drop to two stars?!

This is how ppl cheat on console, go in as a duo one person from that team also ques with a solo on another console (normally their old PS4) solo kills himself then the duo team knows where everyone is by spectating. Very annoying and sad way of playing.
I think if you drop down to 2 Star and do this its gonna be even funnier

Faustian bargain. It's dirt cheap, hits like a truck, and repeats fire without any traits. Downside is you can't see anything out of the left side of your screen lol.
Helluva video, Peeb! I never use the Bornheim really, but I paired the Bornheim Match with the Drilling Hatchet and *WOW!* what a powerful loadout! I dropped 12 kills while Solo! Keep spoiling us with amazing content!
Their approach was to crouch the bounty team to death. That match was brutal to watch. Not from an experience in Hunt Standpoint but from a general Shooter experience POV
Berthier 1892 isn't a bad rifle, but it's only have 3 rounds, but because it isn't a bad rifles, the dev can't make it's a cheap rifles in a games where one good place shot would the end most players. Lebel is where the Berthier bolt came from, the Berthier being a better Lebel when they add in the 5 round clips system and are better than any Lebel conversion to 7.5mm, dues to the French just replaces the enblock clip system, with a Mauser like spring system, that hold 5's 7.5mm cartridges no problem. And If you thinks about it, the Berthier and Mosin are both very simple to produces rifles, their tooling are basic, their design are basic, they don't have too much parts, and the end result quality is good for the prices of basic tooling.
