    I've been thinking the exact same trait you mentioned to deal with a solo. But that trait could work on every hunter, solo or teams. Instead of denying revive it could remove a health bars worth of 50hp, so either a big bar or two small bars.

    Fuck that. Dying once already bones you so hard since you can get 1 tapped so much more easily. I would really really really hate it if enemies could remove MORE hp, basically amplifying the consequences of dying way more, no way

    I believe necro-solo could be a respawn at a random spawn point of the map, só when ever you get a kill you don't have to keep laying traps or burning bodies all the time. Maybe respawning at full health but only possible to do once per match. Note: I haven't played for almost two years now but I'm frequently checking out the updates. So I don't know if there is already a mechanic like that

    The economy in other games usually revolves around other money sinks. For example in Escape from Tarkov a big money sink is your hideout which grants you various out of round abilities and minor buffs, i think this system would be wonderful in hunt.

    I think you overlooked an aspect with the solo player health remove perk is that if you make it take that long like you said 45 sec for example, me as a solo just to annoy the enemy team could wait 40 seconds and ten get up, after they kill me again wait another 40 sec before getting up again. So instead of burning out in 90 seconds the whole encounter would be stretched to 180 seconds instead. So if you make it too long it becomes slower than burning and you can't really make it faster than burning either cause that would be too harsh.

    Thanks for answering my question about high-velocity! Exactly the answer I was wondering about. I think you're right about high-velocity making it difficult to assess how the different weapons work. I have trouble tracing enemies - I don't think high velocity have helped me in that regard, with how regularly I switch back and forth between ammo types. I think I'll be using much more regular ammo in the future :D -Great video btw, turned out really good

    I personally don't think its wildcard and solo bonus that is making people feel like money comes too easily now. I exclusively play trios and haven't touched Wildcard in a little under a month. Even as I've started prestiging, giving up my over 200k saved, I STILL don't take money into account when choosing a loadout. I also play Legendary hunters 90% of the time, so I'm not trying to save money in any regard. It has to do with the XP changes and the rewards. You can lose more than 5 matches in a row and still break even when you're tossed 3K just for getting 20,000 XP. Mixing that in with occasional successful extraction, Dark Tribute often giving dollars, and just money you still get when you lose a match, you are still rarely spending more than you make unless you loadouts consistently go over 1k in total price and you die way more than you extract with a bounty. Am I complaining? Not really. I'm a mid 5 star and Hunt has been just as fun as its ever been, although I do see Nitros a little too often. I do think economy/hunter tweaks are necessary, but if they never happen, I'll still enjoy the game in this state.

    Buying prestiges for a lot of hunt dollars (10k plus?) and not resetting money or unlocks would drain people's money and might help make prestiging worth it. Also they should split solo necro into a different trait that is a burn trait.

  • @distract_5871
    @distract_58715 ай бұрын

    For the solo necromancer problem. The problem is only a problem, because the ability of any downed hunter to be immediately able to retaliate and kill you (for any, cause you never really know if he's solo or not and if so, whether he has it or not). The only way to ensure they don't shoot you in the back is to watch over them while they burn, or to trap them extensively. That's not fun, but nor is it for the solo, because in 90% of cases Necro doesn't give you a "second chance to live", so to speak. Because let's be honest, there's a lot of bs that you have little or no control over as a solo player. Be sniped from 200m away. It's game over for solo, not so bad in trio, you can recover from it. Trade with someone. No problem for non solos. Can even be beneficial as it allows you to be more aggressive. It's worth trading a bar and making sure the last person on a team is dead. I think the problem in Necro is more of how Necro is designed as a perk. If it were only once per hunt and you would changed it so that you don't get damaged, don't get burned, etc... but also can't fire/use tools, etc... for like 10 seconds, then it would work a lot better. Simply as a tool to move to the nearest cover and perhaps reload in the time window you are given. They can't hurt you, but neither can you. So if they burn you, you can just come right back to life if you don't want the bars to be lost to burns, or wait to see if they leave. They're also more likely to just move on because, as mentioned, you can't shoot back straight away. But if you get back as quickly as possible, you'll at least have to fight them their and then again, and if you get killed a second time, they can also be sure that you're dead for good. Traps also don't lose their value against solos. Even though you can't take damage during the initial duration, the wires from the constanina trap still slows you down by hindering your movement, giving you less time yeet into cover. The same applies to Allert Trip Mines. You still get the notification. This one was a bit lenghy, but this are my two cents in regards to the Necro topic

  • @LMBRJAK91
    @LMBRJAK915 ай бұрын

    I'm also a primarily solo player around the 3 to 5 star range on console. Something that I saw on Reddit on a different way to deal with solo/necro was a tool that was essentially a mallet and stake that you would pin the downed player through the heart to the ground that would stop them from being revived without an external hunter's assistance. So it would fully counter necromancer even against teams.

    if i remember right, back when solo necro was a pact event trait, it had sfx that played when the solo left the match (or ig the sfx was from death cheat, which was in the same pact?) either way, i feel adding that sfx to solo necro wouldn't affect solo gameplay at all, while telling the enemies that the solo's gone and they can pack up and not wait around all day.

  • @wereblossoms

    for the trait idea you had though, i could see the old death pact Witness trait getting reworked to an "Exorcist" trait - replace the "gain regen when on a body in darksight" with a burn effect on the body, stacking with regular burning to make the process quicker.

    tbh i dont really like the concept of nerfing necro for how it is at the moment, having the longer phase of burning / camping a body is a good thing since it provides the solo with a chance to get up if something indirectly interrupt the team (boss getting banished, an ongoing fight etc). Furthermore i like to be a little more ignorant on the side of the gameplay getting slowed down, since no one forces you to camp the body of a solo, you are allowed to just walk away. And if youre scared of getting shot in the back and dying thats kinda just a trade off; burning to be sure and wasting your time or having the possibility of getting shot but being able be faster in the match.

    I miss running the Springfield with a purpose. The economy changes with hunt dollars are in a weird place right now, too easy for everyone, especially with the overtuned recruitments. What I noticed is that in the past the economy kinda separated players into 3 general tiers/zones: - The Budget Zone: Some less successful players were mostly needing to play on the budget side and less often got a chance to explore beyond budget/mid tier loadouts. - The Golden Zone: Those in between, sometimes successful, where it worked pretty well bouncing between more budget loadouts and more expensive loadouts and the economy worked in a way that seemed like it kinda made sense and was fairly balanced. IMO this promoted more varied loadout choices, and rewarded players for being successful with budget options. - The Momentum Zone: More higher skilled/successful hunters never really worrying about cost at all since after a certain point you build momentum with better "meta" loadouts and "win" more often to the point where you end up with "hunt dollars don't matter". Now, it's "more balanced" in a way since it's much easier for everyone to just be in the "hunt dollars don't matter" Momentum zone. But if that's the case then why even include an economy system in the game? If everyone is rich and can choose to play anything, then it basically makes the economy system pointless and makes balancing weapons using economy a bad mechanic. There definitely needs to be some changes made to gravitate the player economy into the golden zone where loadout choice matters. What do you think?

  • @peebnute

    @peebnute

    My personal opinion when it comes to the uppermat is that I think they should keep it being a two slot but make the underbarrel shotgun have the same punch as the romero handcannon. Right now both the regular Lemat and the Uppermat have their shotguns on the same level as the Rival Handcannon, and I think buffing the Uppermat (since it is suppose to be a bigger overall version of the lemat) to having a stronger shotgun over the regular could really give it the push it needs.

    I think adding traits or tools as a way to fix problems with the game is definitely the wrong way to go about fixing necro. Otherwise it just becomes something that nobody wants to take, but feels like they have to take. Personally, I think simply looting a solo should prevent self revive. No one is coming to save you as a solo, and if someones secure enough to loot you they could almost certainly camp your body till burnout if they choose.

    For me, i like the 20% discount on recruiting loadouts because before it was completely disproportionate and it was always just better (in terms of money spent) to buy the same loadout piece by piece. Simply put, there is no reason to choose a T3 over your legendary. But now that has changed and that's a good thing. For a random loadout that you have no control over of what your getting, you should pay a little less. For me it is; “Yes, I like the traits but not the loadout of this particullar Hunter, but I'll still spend $800 on this, because i know i won't get scammed in terms of the Dollars. Because once I use some of the stuff I bought, but didn't want right away, i haven't wasted money on it. There's also an incentive now to perhaps use your standard T3 hunters a little more often over your legendarys, if they have better traits than them, potentially leading to a slight reduction in Headsman population... also a good thing if you ask me. For the completely free hunters, perhaps the only thing that needs to change is the threshold at which they appear and how many of them you get to choose from. Plus you still can't get your Mosins, Avtos and such out of them. The most I've ever gotten out of them since then are Lebels. Thats at least what i experienced. I even prestiged for that, cause i am also a fair bit above the 20k threshold normally.

    With the new recruit system, I don’t feel money is nearly as big of a problem as it used to be. But for noobs and beginners, I can see the argument for not being able to use more expensive loadouts. This is a hard problem to solve cause the system rewards those that get the bounty and win games. I currently am fine with it the way it is. As far as solo necro, I feel like the real problem is resilience. This forces you to babysit burn because traps and other things don’t work. They should just remove resilience from the game then you can trap and move on without having to stand over them for 20 minutes. The flare gun helps but you still have to babysit burn.

I havent had gear fear in this game in a while, but there was something there when i decided to go full rambo and had to spend the big bucks. now, i have so many good guns just sitting in my stache from the new tier 3s and i never dip below 10k. which kind sucks, because there was also something there when you were dirt broke with just a romero and a contraband conv pistol to my name. both the high and low have been sanded down to a very same-y feeling every game.

    The thing that’s been bothering me most is that every single team feels like it has 1+ C&Ks, so trying to run around with a bomb lance or other melee option in the current meta is not exactly rewarding, but I think that’s more on the prestige system changes than Hunt dollars at 5 stars. Having every single weapon unlocked at prestige start has had a more profound effect on loadout variety at higher MMRs than the money consideration I think. Would prefer if they reverted that change, although big vit shot at level 7 I have to admit I like.

    Tbh, I hate the whole economy thing in Hunt. It's one of the very few problems I have with this game. It makes good players even "better", cause they can spam clearly overpowered weapons that are *not* balanced and clearly are only "balanced" by being very pricey, like Nitro Express or Mauser. Whilst new players are completely gate keep'ed from getting into the game, if they never played a lot of shooters before. Hunt is just sadly one of these games like For Honor; you are either really good or not good enough to really play it; with a learn curve that is so steap, that it can be frustrating. People who have a life outside of gaming often just can't get into it and will never learn it either, cause they are forced to run Airsoft weapons like the small Winfield, Conversion Pistol, etc. With the community also not being very nice to new players, this gets just really bad and people are just turned off from investing time and energy to get into the game and just quit it again before even really starting.

    I rarely acknowledge the cost of my loadouts in Hunt and I am not really that good of a player, I get some wins yeah but I loose most of them I'd say. Like compared to tarkov where a lot of the choices are based on the amount of money I have this just isnt the case in Hunt.There also isnt much to do outside of the hunt like there is no hideout to upgrade or soemthing so you are basically endgame when you hid max bloodline and you got the guns unlocked you wanted.I see no incentive to prestige in this game. I also disagree that solo rez needs to be changed that much at all, it should be as effective as a normal necro, you needed to wait for people to burn out prior to solo necro too, you never knew if there was a partner in a bush somewhere.

    As a new player I find the necromancy mechanics kind of off putting. Not knowing if someone is going to stand up randomly given zero feedback feels kind of shitty in most situations but I understand that it seems to be a kind of band-aid fix to the burn and watch the body ads from 400 metres away meta. Personally I'm not sure what to do about balancing the game for solos. I kind of feel like having a solo onky queue wouldn't be a bad idea where necromancy is base kit but I digress. When it comes to team play I think a really fun mechanic would be body dragging. You could run up to your download friend (or perhaps enemy) and lean down and grab them by the collar and at a significantly reduced movement speed you could pull them to safety. Perhaps your field of view is pointed down during this and you obviously have to move backwards but maybe if you have a single slot gun you can hipfire it during, maybe that's a new perk? I'm not sure if solves any issues but I think it could make for some really interesting and dynamic fights. Especially when playing with a few bodies around, friendly or otherwise.

  • @peebnute

    @peebnute

    There was a solo queue way back in early access, but if I remember correctly Crytek dropped it because people were just playing super scared and just waiting for someone else to make a move. Might be different if they introduced it now that people are more comfortable and confident in the game, but if they did it would definitely have to be a playlist without necro. Nobody would want to play a game where every person you kill can stand back up 5 times each.

    @@peebnute Yeah that makes a lot of sense. As much as I hate to give it any credit maybe some kind of warzone style gulag esque second chance mechanic would work for that hypothetical game mode. That's probably an awful idea awfully mind you but in general I have no issue with people getting a second chance, especially playing solo and regardless of game mode they're playing but like you mentioned the campfire meta is very boring for both solos and anyone doing it. A new perk would work for sure and is probably the most logical cost effective solution but it feels a bit like a band-aid on a band-aid

  • @distract_5871

    @distract_5871

    5 ай бұрын

    I think the exact opposite is true. It's a good thing that random hunters are good now. What incentive do you have to pick random hunters when it's always 100% better to just use legendarys and buy any piece of equipment yourself outright? Random loadouts should be cheaper than you can buy them yourself since you have no control over what you get. So why buy them at all then? Legendary skins should be chosen because they are cool and you like them. You should choose them for their novelty, not because they are significantly better by default. By the way, as they are now, they're just a bit weaker in terms of overall trait points anyway. Cause once you've extracted the first time with them, you can usually buy all the traits you want anyway. So if you are not losing your hunter every single game , what impact does this still have then? A change to Legendarys i would stand behind is that you only get the trait points instead of random traits, so you can't be srewed over when they come with 1 or 2 one-point traits and like 2 points left over, when they do not reach/exceed the 7 points soft limit. Since removing them manually will give you 0 points back, so you can't use them at all. So it would probably be better if they had 0 traits but 8 or 9 points. Still good enough for solo to buy Necro and Resilience plus another perk, or some of your normal perks if you're not solo instead. But it would still be weaker in terms of total traitpoints in the first round compared to T3s who can roll higher if lucky.

    @@distract_5871 there's some sense here in what you write. I suppose for myself, with the "normie" hunters there's several aspects to this: 1. You can see the traits you'll get in advance. 2. The traits amounts on refund can be crazy high, many times I've been able to have a normie hunter with 18 or 19 points to spend! This of course is helped massively by being able to see what traits you get from point 1. 3. The discount on weapons from buying normies is quite the boost also. Legendary of course you have to kit out completely at full cost most of the time. Not that money is a huge object but for some it might be. I suppose I'm just saying for those of us that support the game by buying Legendary hunters it would be nice to not gimp them so much in COMPARISON to the value that normie hunters currently have.

    Totally, because I can't seem to go below 30k, and I rather regularly use drillings, dolches and nagants. Something I'd like to see is maybe tools or consumables that are expensive, but could buff or assist your entire team. Say, maybe something that gives anyone who interacts with it a boost of some sort, whether allied or enemy like the toolboxes and medkit dropables. Edit: perk idea- soul trace. If you're standing within a few feet of a dead hunter, you can go into dark sight, and if one of their teammates are trying to revive them, you can see their location like if you had a contract token.

    You are missing a point. Every veteran player is hoarding hundreds thousands if not millions of hunt dollars in equipment and cash. I have well over half a million on three accounts (mr charry hunter farming) and almost 40 Mosins saved on my main. I never ever think about cost of a loadout. Not to mention that I alway play with full set of traits. It’s a little bit different for a new players. A little bit. Not only they lack skills and knowledge, they were heavily punished with bad loadouts. If you are new and under 10 k playing against loaded twinks, solos and vet 3/4 stars you are screwed. It’s no fun. Crytek made a great decision and it doesn’t affect you or any other veteran unless you run with “Envious” trait ;) Yeah, there are more nitros and avtomats but if this means healthier and most important growing playerbase, I am in. Your idea is only valid if Crytek will set max amount of hunt dollars to let’s say 10 000. Then it is fair and square for everyone, but I cannot even imagine the outrage of The Bayou Rich Club.

    On solo necro: Yes lets make it even harder for solos to play the game by letting teams be able to at will fuck them over.

    Perhaps ammo should cost now? Obviously what you find in round should still be free but kitting out and rearming perhaps some money choices there? Do i spend on "good" ammo?...a full pocket of it? Or go in and hope i find a top up quickly? Choices are what makes games great.

    "who needs 800ms velocity on a iron sight rifle" so are we ignoring the sniper variant, shorty and shorty silencer. "we have so much money wooow" "dolch and uppermat are too expensive" pick one

    The shortys are bugged and not intended to have increased capacity, but putting it on a sniper is valid if not a little overkill for some situations. I did not say I wanted to see a price reduction for the uppermat, I said I wanted a size reduction to 1 slot, and I don’t think I mentioned the dolch at all in this video?

    @@peebnute i never mentioned the capacity, the shorty silencer with high velocity is still at around 530 velocity for a silenced gun. i must have misheard you on the uppermat you did mention the dolch deadeye saying that no a lot of people can afford it

    @@vezrabuto7496 sorry for the misinterpretation on the shorty silencer, usually when I see people talking about it it's in regard to the bugged capacity. As for the Dolch Deadeye, it's true that it is expensive and not something that many players can afford to buy all the time, which is why I think having a cheaper deadeye pistol would still give the whole playerbase the experience of using a scoped pistol. I'm not calling for a Dolch price reduction
