I've quite enjoyed this series a much bigger improvement compared to the previous doctor, problem is the silly pops and pointless pops they're having at certain groups these aren't suitable for BBC family programmes designed for kids. first episode there was a silly comment calling a prolife view absurd (which was than undermined by the content of the episode, ie the kids surviving into cute worthwhile human and the doctor saving the snot monster, proving the writer is at heart prolife and only includes the comments to annoy people), third episode had a pointless and unwarranted attack on Anglican and Christians in general which wasn't very inclusive. the 73 yard episode had a short bit about a politician with basic conservative views that suddenly wanted to launch nukes

Fred Armison's character does warn Thadeus about the boobie traps then he points to the bodies and says "critics" which was funny. The show is far from perfect but it is fun and enjoyable to watch which is more than I can say than any Marvel movie I've ever seen and especially the ones I haven't including the avengers.

The most annoying thing about Fallout is parts are good, they can do good they prove it! But overall it's a mess, it writes rules (which may not be the same as the game but once they are made they should be stuck to) but then recklessly just ignores them. Nonsense.

Ubisoft watched Afrosamurai and thought it was a real biopic....(>.<) Honestly though how you gonna have an assassin be anything but obvious when your the ONLY person in the whole country to have your skin color!?!?!? It would be like SHAQ trying to blend into the lollipop guild from the Wizard of OZ..... (>.<) These guys are so STUPID it can't be over looked.....

It's pretty clear Ubisoft is just bigoted against the Japanese. There's been interest in an Assassin's Creed game set in Japan since the beginning. They even used it as the but of a joke in Black Flag over a decade ago. So when Ubi finally deigns to make it they for the first time use an actual historical character so they don't have to let you play a Japanese man.

5:46 especially when it's written as stereotypical as one could be written. It's honestly doing that community a disservice Out of my years on this planet I've met exactly 1 person in high school that was like that and he then acted shocked when everyone knew before he came out. You can have a gay/bi/lesbian/whatever and write good characters -_-

Many people probably disagree but I actually like the answers given in 2010 (sequel to 2001). To me 2001 eneded as a load of pretentious twaddle (still an amazing film though, of course) and 2010 succeeded in grounding it all and giving it a purpose.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but the Twilight Zone airplane episode is loosely based on a short story by Roald Dahl called "The Gremlins," about an RAF pilot who has his plane chewed up by gremlins. Disney bought the rights to it in the 1940s, but the feature never made it past preproduction stage.

Yasuke came over to Japan around 1580 as a slave to Jesuit missionaries who worked as both missionaries and chroniclers of the ongoing civil war. Oda Nobunaga took an interest in him on account of his size, strength and "ink-black" skin, and made him a retainer. 15 months later, Nobunaga died when Akechi Mitsuhide betrayed him, and history has it that Mitsuhide spared Yasuke on account of being "an animal who knows nothing". What happened to Yasuke after this is vague, but it is suggested that he might have returned to his old Jesuit acquaintances. Generally, Africans in Japan would've been pretty much non-existent outside of performing slave labor for merchants and monks, and any person who knew about the existence of people with dark skin would've likely had their opinions and knowledge of them influenced by the views of the slave owners. It is written that so many people wanted to see this black man that fighting broke out in the capital and several people were killed or injured. It is also written that Yasuke understood very little, if any Japanese, but he could perform tricks, which entertained Nobunaga. Much of the intricacies of Yasuke's relationship with the Japanese is lost to time, but it's likely that Yasuke was little more than a glorified circus curiosity, in the same vein that people of color were put on exhibitions in Europe. He didn't speak much, if any Japanese, and the amount of training he could've gotten as a samurai is extremely limited considering he was only employed for 15 months before his new lord died. He's popular in pop culture, but I don't think he's nearly as empowering of a character as people want him to be.
