    What’s interesting is that after taking out the oil with the flush chemicals, what’s left is minuscule. 10% of the oil and this 10% of the chemical. And being hydrocarbons and alcohols, they actually have a low flash point and will boil off completely from the new oil in a matter of hours. So I doubt the low concentration remaining and then evaporating will cause any damage to the engine. And manufacturers of flush chemicals would say that it must be flushed again if this wasn’t the case 🤷‍♂️

    Can you do the same procedure without the additive or is the additives necessary? If you follow the procedure with the additive, do you have to do it twice to remove all the residue from the additive?

  • @OwenLucas
    @OwenLucas3 күн бұрын

    You do not have to do it twice, that is only if the engine is sludged up really bad.

    Bugs stuck on front of 2019 camry se for a week. Rinsed off front section and windshield of car, washed with Dawn detergent and microfiber chenille mitt and it took bugs off with a little soft fingernail scrub here and there. No need for all these chemicals unless you have road tar to deal with.

    Oil will get really dark after driving for a long time. I have an idea if you are just cleaning the cylinder head part: 1. Remove the top cover and brush off dirt. Drain oil and use and AC compressor to move dirt down. 2. Remove the oil drain pan for cleaning. I think it is wasteful to overspend on Liqui moly when you can just remove the oil drain pan for cleaning. A lot of the sludge exists there. Not on the engine itself. This is the reason I no longer buy any Liqui Moly flush. An engine oil flush solution only costs about 250 PHP here. You should only use fully synthetic oils even for cleaning.

    I just watched your video and didn’t have the inflatable wedges, and I was stuck at how to remove the agitator. I asked my 15 year-old son what he thought. After using the terminology in your video and showing him parts of the video as to how the part worked, he came up with the idea of using some type of string. Thank you so much for your video. It helped educate myself and my son and we found it alternative way to pop the agitator right off. My 15-year-old had a slide flat rope under opposite sides and then put pressure from opposite sides and it popped right off. We would not have known the mechanical force issue behind removing it had it not been for your video..

    Question can I just put the liquid Molly sludge remover with out doing 3 oil changes can I just put it in and then drive 124 miles then get a oil change ?

  • @OwenLucas
    @OwenLucas5 күн бұрын

    The 3 oil changes are not required, that was just to show the affect of the flush on clean oil. Just put the flush in your old oil and drive.

    It's not about volume or speed of oil drain. It's that when the oil is hot, the contaminants are flowing around with the oil, and drain out with the oil. When you drain it cold all the contaminants, metal, dirt, other garbage sits on the sump floor and the oil drains out over the top of it. Put your clean oil in and soon as it heats up all that garbage is flowing through your clean oil again

    My question was never about speed, but rather the difference in volume of oil between a hot & old drain. My theory was a cold drain would yield more oil since all oil had time to drain into the sump from all parts of the engine. But since a hot drain yielded even more oil - and took less time - the theory is blown. Happy to be proven wrong on this. Thanks!!

    Great video of Static Pressure and running pressure, a drop from the Highest pressure when the trigger is released to the steady run pressure when using the pressure washer. We also refer to this "Static Pressure" as "Burst Pressure" , the first burst of pressure that occurs when you pull the trigger before the running pressure starts. Also, the size of the nozzle orifice will affect the running pressure. A larger 4.5-inch Nozzle will reduce the running pressure but allow more water to come through it.

    I Did the oil change on my 2016 Honda pilot did what the guy from autozone told me buy 6 quarts of oil but I put all the 6 quarts of the oil I don’t think it’s bad for the engine since it has high mileage and we run the truck a lot or I messed up by putting all the 6 quarts ?

    Everything you did was right, you are close to perfection but you should remove the crankcase or sump at the bottom after draining the old oil with liquid moli , to assist the secondary cleansing with the cheaper oil before you go for the final oil
