Crimea and Vyborg actually have two things in common: 1. Both are temporarily occupied by Russia and 2. neither of them ever in history had Russian majority population before 1944 deportation of the original peoples (Finns from Vyborg, Tatars from Crimea).

"Calling it stealing doesn't cover all the details". True, there was murder and rape too. Like seriously, you have no integrity and moral compass at all? You are an empty shell, not a human being at all? Attacking is attacking, stealing is stealing. Do you also say "calling rape rape doesn't cover all the details, because there are also juridical processes involved"? 🤦‍♂

You are at war with our neighbors, you are also at some level of war with usand you are surprised that no one is waiting for you in poland with flowers and a red carpet? Russians are nice people and most pols would like to drink vodka with them, but the political situation is what it is. You will not be welcome here and most will approach you with suspicion. thank your oligarchs and government.

I would like to see your city. For comparison the US had a similar housing crisis after the war and a documentary was made of where I lived called Park Forest,Illinois(Chicago suburb) that was one of the first housing boom areas for veterans. It WAS a very nice place to live with real sense of community and nice amenities -shopping,schools,parks, transportation to Chicago, employment but communist/fascist policies make it unliveable with outrageous taxes, crime, poverty, food stores can't even operate, parks are too dirty and dangerous to use, only business surviving is a trash collection/truck loading facility. Quite a contrast of both histories and present and it appears you have it better now. To find out why the change investigate a nearby town that has attracted attention for the government abuses called Dolton, Illinois with Mayor Tiffany Henyard and she is not that unusual only not bright about concealing her abuses. Just to be clear I know Dolton as friends lived there,I tried to start a business there and have done business there for decades and have witnessed the degradation of the entire region. One final question,do you own or rent your apartment and who handles the maintenance? Renting would seem to explain lack of pride of ownership ( seems upkeep, upgrading , individualization is lacking)

My favourite supermarket in Russia was Eurospar. Especially the cooked food section and the soups. When I was there, it was everything for 60 rubles for 100 grams. Especially for meat dishes or sushi it was a very good price.

It survived because Nevsky was wise enough to submit to the Mongols . The Mongols in turn named Nevsky the Prince of Novgorad , and later Kiev . He did this , because he knew the Mongols had no interest in changing a people's religion , culture , or system of government . A far cry from the Papal west .

I live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio and a typical lunch here is around $15-$20 with a small tip. Dinner is closer to $25 or maybe even $30 at a decent quality restaurant. I'm fortunate that I don't have to scrutinize my expenses very closely, but prices are noticably higher than just a couple years ago. I sometimes eat at home simply because I feel like I'm throwing my money away when I go out to eat. Regardless of my financial status now, I still grew up in a family that struggled, and now I feel wildly irrisponsible when I waste money like that.

If Russia is responsible for 123 years of Poland enslaving, a few uprisings and many many wars. No wonder that Russia is not a favourite neighbour. But the future may be bright if you cede Kaliningrad Oblast to Poland.

Good to see you return. Lucky you to only now have high prices for your shampoo. VP has been propping up your county's economy eversince he decided to attempt to snatch the grain from your neighbouring country. He has been planning this thievery since he heard that Earth entered into a Grand Solar Minimum in 2008. Let's steal their grain at the expense of the rest of the world. How can one say that he has sanity, compassion and goodness at heart. Well, you probably know this already, so instead, I would like to greet you back to the real world, a world where shampoo prices have been on the up and up eversince that fruitcake decided to play silly sausages with other people's lives. Oh, wait, he has been doing that since the beginning of time...

Prices are in comparison with Auchan, Verona /Bussolengo Italy not so high. For example the fish is cheap. Frozen Original Russian Whitefish from Oskotish Sea 4oo gramm 3,00€ tomatoes very expensive!
