    Yo Zeiten love the channel, I needed to replace the radiator in my e92 so I did and then filled the coolant back up and I actually found out my thermostat isn’t working because my car was still overheating and after ordering parts I drained my radiator and every little came out. All the coolant is everywhere else and I put in at least two gallons before. I don’t know how to drain the coolant how would I do this. You’re the best bmw mechanic!

  • @Zeiten
    @Zeiten3 күн бұрын

    The whole system holds about 3 gallons of coolant, once you start disconnecting hoses more will come out I’d recommend replacing water pump at the same time as thermostat since they have about the same life span and located next to each other

    Can this broken bolt cause leaks just below this bolt, where the head gasket meets the oil cooling gasket? My bolt is snapped as well. I just replaced my oil filter cap (old ole completely disintegrated inside) also the two gaskets on the cooler and on the engine block. Degreased everything. But now I'm still seeking a minor leak, which seems to come from the head gasket, not from any of the OFH gaskets. I have an endoscope camera and I'm almost certain that the new oil filter housing gaskets are not leaking.

  • @Zeiten
    @Zeiten9 күн бұрын

    I’d say condition based, just inspect it once in a while usually belts can easily last for 80-100k miles so if you want to do preventative maintenance just stick to those intervals but if you change the belt change the tensioner as well every time

It appears the part that the screws thread into can be removed. Do you know what the name and part number for that piece is?
