  there is a streetlamp nearby my classmates apartment that turns off and on every 10 seconds or more at night, it think it has to do with the photocell not working properly i feel like, the lamp is not led its like a orange bulb (i forgot the name of) when its on its greenish blue but after heating up its orange (still dont know the name of)

  This is just an 80w mercury vapor lamp, handling 5,000w for a little while. They make 1000w mercury vapor lamps, imagine how much power it could handle and how bright it would be!

  Hello, I would really to cast a permanent shadow on a wall. Obviously I can't use nuclear power to do that and my 400 watt mercury vapor bulbs aren't nearly as powerful enough to accomplish such a feat. Maybe I'll need several photo studio flash units or someting similar ? Any idea ? Thank's.

  interesting experiment. Just remember to protect yourself from uv radiation. These bulbs do make it.

  Mainly UV-A, which will nevertheless cause eyestrain and headaches but thankfully no sand like welding arcs and germicidal tubes will. Break the outer bulb though and you'll definitely get that as well as ozone which is toxic to breathe.
