Most ppl can't pick up a game because they watch too much YT or twitch.

I do this with both games and KZread. So now I tend to pick a more chill game to play while working my way through my ever expanding youtube watch later playlist 😂 That way I've watched something/played something without having to dedicated my time to it. If the games feeling good my attention goes more to that. If the video getting good my attention goes to that.

tbf I wouldnt ever boot my PC if I had just an hour of free time before you do that, choose something, actually launch the game, load the save, do something else you already easily lost up to 20 minutes of your time if you want to play multiplayer its even worse cuz you have to add queue times all the lobby stuff and other shit and suddenly you barely have time to play one single match lol

My comfort game will always be botw/totk. That game(and my switch) helped me through college and adulting so much. Putting on a Mac Miller record and playing smash with my wife next to me is also my happy place❤️

My problem, on top of what this video is about, is the purchasing of games that interest me. Paralyzed with: -do I buy this? I don’t know 100% if I’ll be satisfied -It’s on sale now, do I buy it now? -But I’m in the middle of another game, what if when I want it there’s no sale? -if I buy it then it might just sit there for months + and I’ll feel like I wasted my money

Part of it is knowing that if I want to play that game I gotta remember everything and figure all the intricacies of it and skill relapse.

I used to bicycle to the city, pick a game with my hard earned money and played the shit out of it for a year and loved every minute of it. Now I go to the ps store, pick a game and buy it with no effort and play it and most of the games bore me to death. Some unique times the story is cool and i finish the game but most the times i end up deleting it after a hour or two. It’s just to easy to buy from your sofa and the games are to simple made without love these days. And I’m getting older I 🤔

I don't pick a game likely because it's an eroded woke piece of crap. I can play any game IF it is a good normalized title. People assume things but the good news is gamers are finally starting to get pissed off at the DEI woke crap.

Ive spent so much time trying to decide what game to play... too much thought into making it the right one... but all I have to do is just put ANY game on, even if it doesnt seem right, i can think of what i really want while playing something else

It's called getting older. As life gets more complicated and you have more responsibilities, you'll notice that you have less and less time for yourself. At first that change can feel like a bad thing, but trust me, it is not. I got engaged 2 years ago, married 1 year ago, I just started my professional career, and my life looks completely different from when I was in highschool/university and grinding ranked csgo and tf2 for 25-30+ hours a week. At first, dealing with that change was really hard. I felt FOMO really bad. But as time passed I came to realize that my life is now more full than it ever was when I was gaming all the time. Don't get me wrong. I fucking love gaming. I just finished my first Baldurs Gate 3 campaign, and I'm loving the new God of War games, it's just that gaming isn't the only thing I love doing anymore. I love reading, I picked up my guitar again, and I love spending time with my spouse. I'll always love gaming, that will never change, there's just more things in life that I love now too. And now the few hours I do have to play games feel so much sweeter. Making the switch from almost exclusively playing competitive multiplayer games to single player games also really helped to make gaming feel more relaxing and less like a job.

Damn I felt this. I lately have been sitting down looking at my library contemplating what I want to play finally making a choice, then feeling over whelmed with the choice within the game of, am I going to enjoy this play style or should I place my skill points here to there. I’ll Look up a guide then feeling like I’m locked into a certain thing and I don’t enjoy that either. I’m slowly learning after 20 years of gaming, to just play and let the game go where it goes. slowly I’m starting to enjoy my hobby again.

It's gotten to the point where I don't even open Steam anymore i have my PCSX2 PS2 Emulator with nostalgic games and games I missed out on from that time., and I still struggle to play heck it's why I'm on KZread right now. While I literally just bought the Halo collection bundle and BioShock collections for $20 cause it was on sale
