If you get the pipboy torch mod and combine that with the dark nights from NAC it is truly amazing. I started a new survival playthtough yesterday and walking to the jet propulsion labs with Paladin Danse in the dark was so cool. His power armor torch lit up the wasteland ahead of us and my pip boy was shining off the back of his armor. True grass is also amazing and sadly one of the only grass mods that actually works now. Great video

would be cool to see a video on upcoming mods as well. looks like there's loads of awesome quest mods on the way like London, better world and mind games

Amazing. Just started playing this game for the first time and didn't want to mod the hell out of it like I had to with Starfield. Love that you are keeping with the Vanilla theme and that they don't have dependencies! Definitely checking out your other videos now!

Ive already modded my fallout to the moon and back, and my game is at least half-broken, but its okay, more mods will fix it 😂

Been really enjoying your videos showcasing Vanilla+ mods and QOL stuff for for Fallout 4. Added most of the mods you showcased to my new playthrough and have been having a blast. And since these don’t require F4SE, I was able to get them working on my steam deck as well! Took a bit of tinkering to manually put the files in and such but it’s so awesome being able to play vanilla+ modded fallout 4 between my Deck and PC. Look forward to trying out the new mods you’ve showcased here : ) And keep the videos coming!

@@BBKDRAGOON Runs pretty well surprisingly after tinkering with the graphics settings a bit. Does dip occasionally but it’s pretty rare, I’d say 90%-95% of the time it’s a smooth 60fps

I guess I should also mention as well that this the performance I’m getting before trying out the mods you’ve showcased today, and I’ve the only mod that couldn’t stay was Enhanced Lights and FX as performance TANKS lmao

Another great vid. I've been using a couple of these already. Unlimited Sprint & Quick Trade are great. I just found True Grass, since Green Commonwealth never would work for me, and I dig it. The FO4HI series is fantastic! Def gonna use HD weapons mod. Keep it up bro!

I agree about NACX. I felt like it was a filter overlay with questionable adjustments.

Also i downloaded Psyco Lut as your recommendation, do you think that are better alternative options? For me currently looks amazing whit True Storms.

Is there any mod that lets you place salvaged vehicles in settlements to use them as fast travel between any other settlement that has one? And maybe to also move items and stored building parts with like, trucks.

Videos of the Wasteland is a good shout. It allows you and your settlers to watch the s.p.e.c.i.a.l. videos that play when you boot up the game. It also boosts happiness in your settlement as well. I downloaded it today on the Next gen update and it worked without issues to my surprise. You will need F4SE though

Not gonna lie, as I started watching this...I've never played Fallout 4 before and I'm about to start but heard everywhere it needs MODS. I thought looking at the timestamps the HelloFresh was some MOD. ☠

The HD series has more than what you listed, check it out. I downloaded them all and god damn.. looks amazing.

If you're using NAC X, make sure you get the MCM menu patch for it and be sure to very very swiftly disable the stupid ass weathers like time warp.

True Grass is the best grass mod period.

Some of the mods that you recommend requires a lot (or all) of DLC's installed. Could be worth mentioning this, as not everyone has all of them :)

If you don't like how the pip boy looks on your wrist, I'd recommend the pip boy 2000 mod, it replaces the one on your wrist with one that can go in your pocket

Love this kind of videos showing less F4se mods dependant, because is a lottery ticket recently , whit those unexpected updates. I am going to keep a mod list whitout f4se for now. Thank you for your stoic work.

The HUD one can be a huge OLED saver too! Do you have a full 2024 modlist that you've recommended in one place?

Are graphic mods still necessary in ps5

I do think truegrass is the best of the bunch, but it would need to be coupled with a good pine trees mod thats also not too vibrant imo, otherwise the landscape is a bit nonsensical (all dead trees, live grass). Would love to see someone do these landscapes in 512 for the xbox crowd that have only 2gbs. Im currently testing a 512 texture pack for the vanilla assets and I must say that they look pretty alright in 1080p panels.

is it different than just setting your custom fov in the console?

@@BBKDRAGOON how do you do that, is it a command? In Nac X you go into the visual setting, found in an item in your apperal, and then enable the fov through an override prompt which then allows you to select the fov you want (I use 100), I also recommend you turn off viniette to take away the black “glow” around the screen.

The Load Accelerator mod I use and show off in the first episode of this series unlocks the framerate to around 120 I believe, anything really past that breaks the physics engine and you can't move

@@alexh4502how are you getting 160 fps at 4k with mods? 4k should damn near half your frames compared to 1080p, and most 1080p people can’t even get 160 fps

@@coleadams403 I have a 7900xtx graphics card and a 7800x3d. It is pretty much always locked at 160 too. I downloaded some graphics mods like optimized vanilla texture, unofficial fallout 4 patch, PRP, shadow boost f04, and more. I also run the game at the highest settings possible except for ambient occlusion set at high, may test ultra but im happy with what I got rn and dont wanna ruin anything lol... Should say I'm not using any graphical overhaul mods like grassy or weather mods I bet those would take a few frames too not that Id mind going to under 120ish but im doing mainly a vanilla playthrough

i think the greener grass makes more sense. nuclear fallout doesn't last anywhere near as long as the game makes you think, so i think it adds a bit of realism to the game

And I'm gonna have to wait until xbox is thoroughly patched.....

"Diamond City Radio Extended" caused severe stuttering issues in my game, so I had to uninstall it. not recommended IMO.

well, i didn't update my game

I’m not bashing u but a couple of the mods u recommend are straight up for lazy ppl or I shouldn’t say lazy but ppl who find doing in game things like walking power armor from home plate to sanctuary I would just walk it all and yes it is very tedious but u gotta save that precious mod space for mods that are actually gonna change things up but to each there own

I just realized some of these mods are literally what 76 has in-game functions like quick trade and use that items. Bethesda hires modders to make their games but they don’t make it themselves. Classic Bethesda moment, oh god.
