fallout 4 script extender has been updated and is now working with the latest fallout 4 next-gen update. i had no problems with crashes in using F4SE so far after a week of playing.

cool video, very helpful. Tho I cant try it out until next week, which is why I wanted to ask (and this goes for all the modded games), if you also unlock all the achievements in steam, if you start the game through a Mod Manager ? Or does it count as "not started on steam" and therefore doesnt give you the steam achievements. Thanks a lot for an answer

Hey, after the next gen update all my mods broke so i removed them and fse but there still some mods there that are causing trouble one of them is related to the female main char.

Can you say something about the modlist welcome to paradise in the next gen update? I want to download a pack of mods but I don't know which one, could you make a video about the best one?

Imo Mod Organizer 2 is much more beneficial to use in the long run as a mod manager. People have said there's a "steep learning curve" to it, but I don't think there is honestly. There's a built in tutorial system if you ever get stuck, which I never have tbh, but it's there. It's also way more visual as an interface than Vortex. In MO2, you can see straight away where each plugin is in your load order, and move them around to avoid conflicts.

I used mod organizer 2 to fallout new vegas and I think that is not too difficult to use but I have a problem with the new vegas skeleton that no matter where I put this mod in the list it just simply don't work and I don't know why.

For now I see videos on youtube to lean how to use properly mod organizer, but that's the only problem that I have, and when I finally solved that, I'm gonna instal a few mods and then my game will be ready to play. Pd: I have a laptop with an intel core i7 and integrated graphics but surprisingly I can play fallout new vegas with mods at 60 fps that is amazing.

​@@BBKDRAGOON Fair enough, I do agree that people appear to be pretty useless at solving their own issues. I've never used it, but from what I've seen with Vortex, if you do run into an issue (which you will with modding, it's inevitable), it's much harder visually to just see what the issue is. With Fallout 4, it's usually precombine conflicts, making objects in your game flicker and vanish. The amount of times I've been able to fix stuff like that by simply moving the priorities of plugins has been countless. From what I've heard, you can't do that in Vortex, or it's much more complicated to do so.

Hi, I'm new to this subject, I correctly installed the Script Extender, I downloaded the mods with vortex and on vortex I put the F4SE as executable and primary. I also installed Mod Configuration Menu when I start the game and before continuing the game with the keyboard I type getF4SEversion and it is installed correctly, by clicking on continue the game and clicking pause MOD CONFIG appears and when I enter it there are only two messages which are MCM SETTING AND HOTKEY MANAGER but clicking on it doesn't let me do anything, my mods aren't on hotkey manager, the message there are no registered hotkeys appears, how do you register hotkeys? I think it depends on this I would like to make it work properly thanks.

nope, just the one required, not mods that require it. tldr, you rarely will need a required mod except for F4SE or maybe like .enb dlls

Done this and it all works but won’t show my saves that I wanted to mod

You're launching the game trough f4se in the manager.

whenever im on vortex and i go to downloads and i try installing the mod it says "No compatible game being managed" "The game(s) associated with this download are not managed, install for the currently managed game?" i am brand new to modding and i do not know how to fix this so if anyone knows please help me.

If you go into the games section, turn it to grid view (on the top right hand side) then scroll to find fallout, it is in alphabetical order so it shouldn't take to long but when you find it hover over the image and it will say manage, click on the button and a pop up should come up with allowing vortex to make changes just click yes and it will be transferred to your managed games then try to download again and it should work. Hope this helps 👍🏻

I’m new to modding but I’m using nexus and vortex but it seems like a never ending domino effect. Most mods that I download require other mods to work, than that mods also require other mods etc etc. So for 1 mod to work I need to download 25 mods becuase they all need each other to work??

If it’s because it’s not trusted you can right click and hit keep and then hit keep anyways and it should allow it to download fully and run

Is there any way to re-enable achievements while playing mods? I found the "achievements" mod in nexus but needs the f4se to work

Some mods require manual download and install because they can't be installed with mod manager. These mods are usually installed in game root folder.

It's probably outdated because of the new fallout update. it bricked all the mods and the mod makers need to update them all again

I sadly stopped modding. Because they stopped working for me. NMM (vortex) is a nice tool. But most of the Fo4 mods are no longer supported and therefor don’t work.

Mine can’t detect fallout 4 for some reason I use epic games fallout 4

Follow tutorials and read EVERYTHING on mod pages and follow it without skipping a single step. Every time i had a problem it was because i've skipped reading mod description.

I think everything from xbox app and ms store is hidden and you can't access game root folders. Haven't used it in a long time so i could be wrong. Can you find and open root folder of you game?

Start the game with default exe file or launcher, wait for it to load to main menu and quit the game. After that open your mod manager and it shout be fixed.

Man I tried to follow your mod list but I only have the base game and some of those lighting mods require the dlc so it doesn’t work for me… how lame is that

Mod manager is the standard for modding Bethesda games , if you want to mod Skyrim or Fallout , learn USE to MO2 just link it with you nexus account it’s the best one

I can’t get to work. All I can find is fallout four epic.

🤭At least half the viewers here are quickly soon going to have launch issues, broken textures, broken meshes, broken quests, and the all-time favorite CTD. Happy Modding! My advice: install mods manually. You won't believe me and that's fine, I'm still enjoying a stable Skyrim and Fallout 4 heavily modded without issues for almost a decade now.
