Hey man! Love your videos as I've spent a lot of time backpacking and fishing the Northwest. Just a little tip though. I noticed you tend to really yank on your pole hard when you land a trout, and that might be why you're losing a lot of them. Trout have very thin and tender lips that can be ripped off very easily. That full yank back motion upon landing is more of a bass technique. Once again I love your videos man keep trekking on!

Use a y shaped stick to press down on the crawfish, that way it does not escape and you can then easily net it.

The FRH (flameless heater) in the MRE might have been dead, but just to be clear you are supposed to shake it to really get it to activate. Maybe you did and didn't put it in the video but, that can also cause them to fail by not shaking them.

Leif, my poor attem pt at your trout taco. Brookies & a rainbow with onion, mushrooms + a baby potato. I don't have the Danish so I used Pink Himalayan salt. I left the Avocado at home by mistake! Anyway, it was a shore lunch in Heaven!

That was really interesting and human that sometimes things go wrong, and then you realise you've made mistakes, yet you were just honest about it and clearly made the right call to get help. I hope your neighbour got a good bottle of something expensive and tasty!

You cracking yourself up was the best part of the movie. Also bro, those crawdaddies were babies!! Biscuits and gravy with some Tabasco sauce is magic!!! Also a little piece of hotdog or small piece of bacon will draw those crawdads out. My boy and I will get them coming in from Louisiana and knock down 10 lbs. Well done bud.

Went fishing today with my dad and caught 10 fish total! we got bluegill, yellow perch and i caught my first ever rock bass! I’ve learned so much from these videos and they’re always so enjoyable and inspiring

I've heard that if you wear polarized sunglasses you can spot the morels alot easier🤷 worth a shot, i will be trying it my next mushroom forage lol
