grandpa says thanks :)
Amazing!!! I’m a noob, i learned 4 things from this 6 min video!! Some obvious but connected things c shape and g shape new to me
I love that you visiual the fretboard!!!!
Struggling for years with this so jelly watching everyone else. This finally helped. OMG you are a champion. Thanks!
This is the most succinct explanation of chord theory ever devised. Thanks.
I spent good money on an app that is for learning instruments. Yall, I have learned more from this fella Sam than the app. Do with that what you may, but thank you Samjamguitar!
I've been looking for a video like this for 7 years😂❤❤
I try some of your examples .Why are the chords isn't sounding good is it just my ear ?
Thanks for simplifying the diatonic theory. Now I got tools to jam and write songs. The heavens are singing because of your tutoring! 😄
didnt understand
Wow, I been playing guitar since 10 years and I never seen such a more explained video, I always thought scales was very hard to learn you explained it so perfectly.
You're very welcome!
Please take down these extremely intrusive and annoying intros. Its worse than ads. You need a dangerous alert for a music theory lesson?
Yes...yes I do.
This is the absolute best guitar lesson video I have ever watched
Thanks Lori! I really appreciate it!!
technically the 5th should be dominant
Only when harmonized once more! As a simple triad, you only have the intervals 1-3-5 (major). Harmonizing once more would reveal the b7 (1-3-5-b7) making a dominant 7th chord.
tips on Memorizing Interval locations?
6:24 why does the 2nd note also sound like a perfect 7th to me🥲😭😭
Hi I have a pretty bad ear… I’m scared I can’t tell most of these apart TT…..could you explain why 3:39 the 2 representations could be perfect fourths, I feel the two shapes sound different to be the same thing
1:22 is there an alternative to singing… i can’t sing in different pitches….my singing is very underdeveloped…below average so…can I still learn guitar without it?
. Love the content
Cheers!!
Great video but I still need help! My pinches sound like ZZ Top or Van Halen but not like Zakk Wylde!! Can someone tell me if it's simply not possible to hit a pinch harmonic like Zakk Wylde on every high gain amp. My amp is a Yamaha Thr10x very high gain but small amp but never sounds like Zakk! I hit it in every way possible on my thumb using my Zakk Gibby but it never sounds right. Is it more likely my amp or just my technique still? Tried forever to sound like his pinches!
This is insane. I've been struggling with fretboard memorization, and for some reason this video made it click. I have watched so many before this and still felt so lost. Thank you so much.
You're very welcome! Welcome to the channel!
Effin' A man this is some next level shizznit.
Ta👌👌👌
Chords video please!
Maybe if I watch enough 'how to memorize the fretboard' videos I will memorize the fretboard
🤣 honestly, try the method in this video... it really does work!
My tuner says my b is at b but is it supposed to b that loose
This is very useful
Thanks!
Great lesson🙏
Cheers👌
Thanks for watching!
This feels like when I was a kid and wathced the first Harry Potter movie and I practiced Wingardium Leviosa along with the kids and the managed to do it but no matter how hard I tried, my feather did not levitate :( But I'll keep trying
I've been teaching guitar for off and on for 30 years and this the best explanation of the modes I've seen yet as I used to learn patterns from books but ended up noodling and couldn't use them with confidence this an excellent source for understanding and practicing the modes but however I found the Locrian quite useful in classical to build tension then resolve to the Aeolian. Awesome video 🔥🎸🔥
Many thanks! It's much appreciated 👌
You are kind of angle to me sir. Thanks you sooooo much for your videos. I've been struggling for guitar solo and didn't find the tutorial as clearly as this yet. God Bless you!!
Thanks for watching 👌
Just keeps pracsticing! -Skwisgar
just ordered one 🎉
Brilliant! Enjoy!
This is way more sophisticated than i thought😵💫
Singing arpeggios is far more fun.
Awesome, so much info packed in one video. Thanks a lot !
Glad it was helpful!
My neighbour ran over and kicked my groin really hard until my 🥜busted
Honestly, this video is absolutely great for beginner-intermediate players. Instead of spending hours searching for each of the individual chord shape, this video covers the essentials. Great video
Thanks!
incredible content, much appreciated. <3
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ionian isn't identical to the major scale, it IS the major scale and same for the Aeolian. But a really great video.
great method! thanks
Awesome cheers 🍻
Your videos are unreal bro so helpful I think I can speak for everyone here that you are an excellent teacher . and the time it took to edit all these examples is amazing so only one question bro where do u live so I can pop round with my lowden and get some lessons😀😀I wish there was a teacher like you close to we’re I live in Ireland 🇮🇪., anyway thanks so much .. I’m learning all the major scale caged postions I know the shapes but I’m having trouble moving from key to key it’s a little confusing., but it’s going to take a few months to study the positions properly but your videos are so educational and helpful.. cheers Brian Ireland 🇮🇪🎸🎸🎸
Thanks! It really is appreciated! I'm actually based in Scotland, so closer than you think!!
Thanksss😻
Cheers!
I keep getting distracted by the optical illusions on the fretboard diagram.
Very useful and concise and gave it a thumbs up but could do without the irritating and irrelevant background music/noise
Thank you for the lesson
no probs! thanks for watching!
I am now in the process of memorizing my fretboard for the first time. I have played guitar for 21 years.
hopefully this video will help!
@@Samjamguitar absolutely! I also just saw your video about chord structure. After all these years, I'll finally know what I'm doing lol
That's fantastic!!
I'm sorry, I didn't understand how you form the chords... 😔
I've watched so many CAGED system videos, but yours was different ! The G pattern on the high notes !! Thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful!
This is too busy
One of those things that is so obvious you just don't see it. Many thanks fella
