Learning all the blues scale patterns is easy when you realise that you are simply playing the 5 positions of the minor pentatonic scale with an added b5 interval known as the blue note. in this blues guitar lesson i will show you how to identify the b5 interval or blue note within pattern 2 of the minor pentatonic scale so that you can improvise and play lead guitar freely using the Blues scale position 2. this will be the next step in playing much more bluesy sounding guitar solos using the blues scale across the fretboard and will hopefully get you thinking more about the intervals on guitar such as the b5 (blue note) while improvising helping with mapping out and memorizing the fretboard.
