    I recently worked with an attorney who was looking to make a career change after 20 years. He wanted to become a high school instructor. The interesting point - he recognized this calling back in law school, but felt committed to his path of becoming an attorney. Furthermore, he did not have the support from his family to make such a change. So instead, he spent 20 years of disengagement from his work. I applaud you for your self-awareness early on and not making the same mistake. Great message, Dr

    Thank you for your comment!! At times I do wish I could’ve found about these things earlier in my life but your comment put into perspective that actually compared to others I’m lucky to have understood the importance of doing what makes me happy early on in my career. Thanks for dropping by and watching ☺️✨ I hope you have a lovely week

    Firstly: ❤HAPPY BIRTHDAY❤🌹🍰🎉🎊🎉🎁 not gonna lie i got a little misty eyed, when saw you became it. Not entirely sure where am on this scale of happiness.. only know might be a little to heavy on the eating/tv-show and gaming path... as you can also "forget" about own issues and disappear into the world of a game or show, and well eating comes with that.. and often reaches the 4-5 slice aswell.. since its there... Other then that i find my happiness in those i love, being around them and talking with them make me happy, often i do not have to speak at all, just being around them is enough, and playing boardgames/card games.. as you are social without being social ( if that make sense ). You are toghter for a game, but its about the game, and then talk comes from that. Have a wonderful birthday, may you get a little gift or 2 you wished for :) and heck might even celebrate it a little more once weekend comes. Be safe out there

    uhh i know those horsemen way to well... being the target of them growing up. Hence today "stonewall" is a very common thing for me to shut of emotions.. Except from a little handfull, who have entered my bubble: Keep telling them am really bad with words, just always know would never do or say anything to hurt you, so if in doubt tell me and will try and rephrase it. Thanks for this road of information, always with a smile and kindness, which makes it so much easier, when a heavy topic. Looking forward to see what comes next. Hope you and all of your family will have a wonderful weekend. Always a please to watch the wednesday videos. See you next time teach :)

    Weee can finally say got like 90% of these skills... but.... because of my own issues i can not respond much. I have a constant fear of offending people, and the more i care about a person the bigger the fear. Meaning i will listen, i feel there pain, i understand there struggles, just to scared to say or respond to it, as not wanting to hurt or offend them. Yet on other side, if i care whole hearted to someone i will be to honest, speaking without filter.. and then afterwards wonder for months if what said was okay or not. ahhhh the mind is such a wierd thing... Thanks for this water class, really loved it. keep it up teach :) Be safe out there and have a lovely weekend.

    First of thanks for not using to many medical terms, tend to happen when doctors speak, you use common people terms :) The story was cool, and even if was "work" related i could soo relate to them in other terms. They are also more or less the same, when you have an anxiety attack, which i have had tons of times, and once you learn how they are, how to react to them, how to read the signs or run away. Many will run away from the emotion and signs they get, but in time you get to know them as they happen, and will not need to run away. Thanks for yet another video, and well i did the test from last, and numbers was way lower then expected.. i do belive was air:3 Earth:3 water:5 and fire:4 So all depends if its 1-5 scale then seem okay, but if 1-10 scale its very very bad :) Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for your amazing kindness towards the students :P :)

  • @demireyes

    This is too clinical of an approach to me. Obviously you're a medical doctor which justifies why you would look in that direction first, but I would like to tell you why I feel that way. It's like you're trying to teach a child how to walk by giving them a biomechanics class on the human body. Without ever having them try to make use of their body in the first place. The way I learned emotionally was through finding my own intuition and following itw actually making use of the structures in my brain that are designed for this, without the prior knowledge of how my brain works. If you really want to teach people to grow more emotional intelligence, then you have to first make them access their own emotions and empathy, and try to figure things out for themselves, before you can teach them more abstract concepts. In most cases this is precisely what is lacking, and you can't just understand intellectually and apply it directly, you have to experience it first hand

  • @demireyes
    @demireyes3 ай бұрын

    I completely agree! That's why if you happened to complete the video you'd know how I explained that I will split this emotional intelligence series into 5 classes to tackle each one in more depth with action points. I'll be explaining that developing EQ is a journey based on our experiences and lessons. I agree taking action is highly important but for those that have been taking action and still not able to make progress or are curious on EQ as a concept then I explain these things as it interests me. I talk about our human nature, how I‘ve taken action & what I've experienced ~ this is my personal channel. People are so unique and have their own ways of learning and improving EQ. I only hope to help others on their journey by sharing mine 😊
