I dont think even prime Foreman would beat Jimmy Young even before Ali. His careful approach here gave him stamina to get Young in trouble in round 7. I still believe Young being as elusive as he was would weather the storm against Foreman. The thing is the cautious Foreman didnt have the pace for really quick fighters with tough chins. The seek and destroy George was incredible the first few rounds then faded. I believe Young would of won still. His style was completely wrong for Foreman. Make no mistake, Foreman would of given a good fight. His chin was almost as good as Ali, he cut off the ring well, not to mention was extremely powerful. But with Young moving around and throwing sneeky shots, that would cause Foreman problems. I couldnt completely say Young would beat Foreman on his a game but it would be likely he would if he survives. Which is likely considering how good he is. Young had incredible heart, speed, reflexes and a tough chin. He doesnt get the credit. I believe even this Foreman who wasnt top form would beat Frazier and Norton in the same night. Young had a better chin than Norton and the out fighting skills Frazier didnt have. Frazier on his a game would of been a tougher fight for Young than the lot. Shorter , more precise punching and bob and weave. They both knew each other well. Great men. R.i.p

Bottom line, Marciano was too gutless to fight the great Ali for real cos he was too old and fat. He didn't mind bashing the crap out of old men who challenged for his title in the 1950's. As Ali said, the computer was white. In real life a hungry Ali would have seriously hurt Marciano before he got close enough - left rips to the head, right crosses, constant left jab. Ali was in a league of his own who made a huge Foreman look small.
