Shavers. Very dangerous. I think he had more knockouts by the second round than the mighty Tyson had overall.

Ali admitted in an interview, that Shavers was the hardest hitting puncher he had ever faced.

Ali punched for points but not to hurt or kill...he understood well that your opponent is not your eneny...he is the greatest of all time.respect respect for Ali 🙏🙏

The last 30 seconds of this fight epitomises what Ali was all about, he knew he just had to finish to win. Yet after absorbing all Shavers bombs, being way past his best and not in the best of shape he still went for the KO when the opportunity arose. He is the Greatest of all times!

This vid is showing a different camera angle compared to most other videos of this fight, appreciated that👍 Wish more videos of different camera angles of classic fights would show up on youtube

I met earnie shavers in liverpool greeter in yates bar told me about is career chatted for 10 mins said ali best he boxed tho ali past is best then also told me foreman frazier wouldnt fight him too dangerous of a fight for them sparred them both

He did your right ali shud av retired 2 yrs before after manilla ali slowed down in 1977 so took puishment which did ali no good think ali was forced too carry on meal ticket watched is wife saying ali wanted to retire in 1976

@@paulneville8172 that's right. He was not the same after manilla and took too many fights that weren't necessary. But he had a huge amount of people around him, he had to pay, so he kept going. Once he retired all those people were nowhere to be seen

When u watch these heavyweight today not in same league mma fighters coming into boxing zero boxing match putting fury world champ down alot thought he won i think so imagine ali holmes tyson foreman losing to mma fighter wouldnt happen

Foreman frazier would not fight shavers earnie told me 1 nite in liverpool city center a greeter he said they both said he was too dangerous earnie sparred them both ali boxed everyone ducked no one even when father time caught up with him

Ali won several of those rounds due to pure fame. With the exception of the last 30 seconds of round 15, Shaver was the better fighter that night.

He wasn't old here. He was about 35. Shavers was like 27. It wasn't until Ali was around 38 when it started to really show

Much better to hear the commentators and the crowd instead of a background music.

Shavers caught Ali with his “bread & butter” weapon (Straight Right) as frequently as Frazier did with his (Left Hook). Yet Ali somehow made Foreman miss all night. Foreman... the guy who obliterated Frazier and Norton. The 2 guys who gave Ali the hardest fights of his career. Overall Ali went 4-2 vs Frazier & Norton. With todays judging that record could’ve potentially been 3-3 or even 2-4. Ali-Frazier2 and Ali-Norton3 were questionable decisions. Like other sports Boxing definitely has examples of the good old 🪨 📄 ✂️ Dynamic throughout it’s history. “Styles make fights”.

He wasn't landing enough, those shots were sliding off Ali shoulders. Ali was landing 10-15 hit combos on earnie because he would stand in place and block.
