With the glass so dark they won't even know your name...
Kicking ass in this concert.
Not many people in this world can not be replaced. A substitute maybe found, but none can fill the void completely. He is one of a kind. Rest in peace knowing that you left this world better than you found it. God bless!!!!!!
Totally forgot about ZZ, shame on me, now I wiil listen to every fucking song. THANKS!

Only on TV, but it was awesome anyway :-)
2024 and still the 3 most badass dudes on the planet!
Holy shit there’s only 3 guys making that unbelievable sound
We were at friends house, bought us some cheap sunglasses and some goood ole JD and Dry ice where we could make fog and had a blast of a time with Reverend Billy G !!!!
Rev. Willy does Rhythm. and Lead so seamlessly it's Mind boggling, and so smooth. I think he figured out the least amount of work, with the most output and beautiful notes, combined with what people want to hear. Billy G., You are one of the Greatest. BTW, That was an Awesome Hamilton Guitar you gave to Stevie. I like yours too
A great version of a classic. What I love the most about ZZ is the fact that Frank Beard was the only one without a beard.
I never noticed how funky the tail end of this was until I heard it at work today
Pretty sure I’ve been listening since the womb 😂 mama loves her ZZ! Had the absolute privilege to see them perform live in Hamilton, On, CA about 9 years ago ❤
Just found this...absolutely fcking love it.
God I love that band
How great it would have been to see this show! Billy, Frank, and Dusty could play anything. Name the genre of music and you can hear it in ZZ Top.
Quite possibly the best 3 man band to ever exist

@@scottcolbert9190Rush had 10% of the soul ZZ Top did and nowhere near the cool factor. Talented? Absolutely, but Rush over ZZ Top? No freakin way.

@@Yoshi-Mooch we all have our preferences…..I’m not saying Zztop is garbage….my mom and dad had me listening to them in the early 70’s….it’s just my opinion….in all honesty….if you’ve heard one ZZTop song you’ve heard them all…good tunes but it’s all the same rhythms and such…..there are no Rush songs/albums that sound alike…not to mention Neil Peart was a monster drummer….anyhow keep rockin man…just my two cents
I'm beyond grateful for those who are posting these pre-MTV vids of ZZ Top on YT, since I feel like an entire generation never had the chance to appreciate just what a blues guitar badass Billy truly was. But he allowed MTV influence to turn a national treasure into an overly image-conscious spectacle - with so much focus on the matching custom guitars/basses and that stupid nudu he's been wearing for something like 30 years. Degüello was their peak, El Loco was their swan song, and then they just lost the thread. RIP to a great band.
Still sound and groovewise one of the best ZZ-Top performances that I have witnessed so far!
Can't say I have ever seen BG as "animated" in any other clips, although I have never seen footage earlier than mid 80's before. Great job of a great song shot at what looks to have been a great concert.
i watced this live on TV and this is what i remeber best , when he put on the "cheep sun glasses " lol
I´ve seen this 1980 on TV. And: YES, I`m old … THX for broadcast. ;-)
Frankly it's hard to believe these guys were ever young.

They just jammin. Had the audience not heard this song before... 🤔 shout 'CHEAP SUNGLASSES!' already, it'll do you no harm. 3.06 😄. They're the reason I play music😎
thanks for these great memories of zztop. I never thought I could see them so close up and with such great sound its like being there but better. thanks again
They look nearly identical 35 years later... xDxD
One great, fat guitar tone. Incredible.
I'm sorry to say without Dusty, there simply is NO ZZ TOP!
I was there and my father was the producer.Epic

Ein Rock fest vom Feinsten. ZZ.TOP..Habe mir die doppelt LP. Erst vor kurzem gekauft..
studio version entered Billboard for 2 weeks July 12, 1980 ..reached #89
Best version ever recorded but NOT ob Spotify.
The Best video live set of ZZ Top I've ever seen! Live in 1980 at Rockpalast! Thank You
I was there...it was an epiphany!
The most fantastic moment of this great buesrock song is the Cow-Bell on 3.07

Excellent. Thanks.
Saw them at Leeds Uni in 1982, fucking great live. Cost £2:50 to get in.
"Have Mercy! Un dos tres four!"
R.I.P Dusty
Dusty having that extra grimy and gritty tone here, fucking awesome sounding!
the ZZ's make me happy. Especially songs like "Waiting for the Bus", "Thank you" and "Bar-B-Q" and the other 70's stuff of them. I don't really like the 80's stuff except "Sharp dressed Man" and "Gimme all your Lovin'".

One of my all time favorites. All of their music. But you put on Lagrange or driving while blind. And you can reset heart rhythm.
Love this song especially the groove from 3:36 on
Love that cowbell
Holy short❤
Very good groupe and love him!!!
Essen Germany, had it on tv that night, just loved it. 3:33 Genius just a fuckin genius
Song and band rocks southern style.
Dusty would have fit right in with hip hop music. That man had groove!
Always get left out of one of the best power trio's polls If that's not power I don't know what is
Rest easy Dust Bunny.
